I was watching Trailer 2 for the upcoming season, and I'm not sure wether to belive what I see or not...

The Doctor's already cheating on Rose next season?! I mean, if they're going to bring in a new girl assistant, fine, but to have the Doctor with someone else so soon? Could they at least have waited until he regenerated before throwing another person to kiss into the mix? sweatdrop Cite the whole Girl in the Fireplace scenario at me all you want, but this just seems strange.

Oh. This was already in the Rumours section. Sorry. Someone delete this, please. sweatdrop

He's not regenerating for a while yet! If he dies I'll kill 'im!... sweatdrop

Anyway, word is that it's just some sort of "genetic transfer" or some such thing. So there's an excuse. But I've heard they act generally couple-y in a few other instances, so... I mean, it's not the "cheating on Rose" thing that bothers me, a lot of people seem convinced she'll come back but I doubt it, the thing I have a problem with is that he can't start getting into romantic relationships with all his companions!

He even got snogged by Jack, for goodness's sake! xd

See, you don't get the entire picture.

I'm about to blow up at that too, since other people going to snog the Doctor is usually fine, because they make the first move, but that's clearly Ten's doing. And for the Doctor to do that right after losing Rose....I can quite see your point.

It's an energy transfer of some sort.
I'll put it this way. Nine kissed Rose to help save her, now Ten is kissing Martha to do another energy transfer thing. But I agree, they could at least do the whole energy-eye-transfer thing or at least hold hands instead. It's just fixing a plot point thing while appealing to a general audience.

Don't believe that? Go watch a bit of Torchwood. Same reason, same thing; just a heck of a lot more than that.

Jack kissed Nine. Big difference. Besides, that was Jack's doing. Ten is the one doing this, and that's what irks me so much. Reinette Poisson and Cassandra-in-Rose can kiss him all they like and I wouldn't be too terribly upset. But for the Doctor to go and kiss someone after basically telling another person he loves them....oy.

Yes, but it also saves us the bother of being annoyed at the Doctor for suddenly turning into some sort of ladies' man. Wasn't it Four who said something once to some girl who was wondering why a guy had a crush on her, "Well, you're an attractive woman, I guess"?

Yes, I suppose you've got a point there... neutral

I swear, I am going to go to London and SLAP RTD....the first doctor to ever kiss somebody was the eighth, and that was a crappy american made movie (though it had its good points) and SOMEHOW that gave Russle permission to add in more snogs!!!! GAH!!!!

Part of the Doctor's charm is that he pretty much only recently got his first kiss! blaugh (Well, okay, I'd surmise that the First Doctor had some sort of family and everything... he's got a granddaughter, after all. But after that...) It ruins that whole endearing thing he has when he's this incredible player...

I mean, okay, okay, RTD, so you're trying to bring us into the 51st century! (Not a typo!) But just stop! You're destroying my image of the Doctor as someone who's not going to have everything all buggered up with romance...

what's the point in going to London, RTD lives in Cardiff(and Manchester)...

but the whole thing about kissing madamde the pompadour(or her kissing him) was just an excuse to get tennant and his girlfriend on screen kissing, she's still going out with him(lucky girl...)

Madame de Pompadour..and she basically jumped at him. And not really, he just needed more of a reason to go save her and jump through the window. Plus Tennant's reaction to it afterwards. 3nodding

I must admit, that even though RTD really screwed up with the whole ROMANCE thing, and that he should have really kept it out of the mix, there are some assitants that I would have loved to see the doctor snog. Sara Jane. Now that would have been great. She was one of his favorites. And even though the Eighth Doctor, and that whole movie for that matter, was very american, by throwing the whole romance thing in, I think that the Doctor really should address his feelings more often. Cause you know he has them. It's totaly obvious.

But kissing that other chick so soon is BULLSHIT. Dude, he was suposed to be in a state of mourning for god's sake. Not jumping onto the next ship he saw. Kind of like Leela. She was the Fourth Doctor's assistant right after Sara Jane, and she fell in love with some random Galifrian. LOL dude. She was his "Transition" assistant. So I think this girl should be his "Transition assistant" and he should TAKE SOME BLOODY TIME BEFORE HE SNOGS ANYONE ELSE!

Oh, and also, NO WAY MAN, THAT WAS HIS GIRLFRIEND! HOLY HELL SHE'S HOT! Lucky b*****d...
