Preventer Void Vice Captain

Let's face it, Noin just plain doesn't get the respect she deserves. This is a real shame, considering just how awesome she is. Let's go over it...
-Has the second-highest marks for any OZ pilot graduating from Lake Victoria - and Zechs makes it sound like she held herself back to make him look better.
-Became the beloved instructor at Victoria, whose combination of seriousness and motherly attitude made her very popular.
-Is incredibly badass, whether it's in an MS or on foot.
-Is one of the few people to rein Relena in when she was in her "angry young woman" phase (LOL @ frisking her for weapons).
-Uses a Taurus throughout GW and EW, and still keeps up with the boys and Zechs in state-of-the-art upgrades.
Who else agrees? Noin deserves, nay, DEMANDS respect! I call for a salute to her, one of the most awesome women in the entire Gundam multiverse!

I'd have to agree with you. She was definately one of my favorite female characters in the series. She not only talked the talk, but she walked the walk and very few of the female characters actually got in the mobile suits and did good in battle.

I totally agree. I love Noin's character. She is admirable...thoughtful...brave...daring...just....etc...etc.. you get my point. Also, she is one of the few characters to really get close to all the gundam pilots. I also love the way she isn't afraid to do what she feels is right, even if it is standing up to Zechs. I think she personifies the integrity Wu Fei was looking for. She was always honest with herself.
I have to agree with Preventer Void. She is a true badass! Go Noin!

 *mildly jealous* Fine... I'll admit she's slighly more awesome than me. Hey! She makes a cowboy outfit look good and she was the only gal in the series who actually admitted she loved her significant other. That takes guts. 3nodding

It's okay Colonel...Lady Une needed no words for her feelings...and she was pretty badass with her dive-in-front-of-libra-canon stunt with wing gundam...I mean the techs had just said no one else on earth could pilot that suit and not even an episode later she goes blasting off in it. She may not have pulled off a cowboy outfit...but Lady Une deserves her props for bad-a**-ness too hehe cool Go Gundam Wing Ladies!

Noin has a lot of class. Especially when it comes to Lady Une. I was thinking of the slap Noin got in (I think) episode 10. My first reaction was "I'd slap her back!" But Noin took it gracefully while standing her ground. She deserves definite kudos for her ability to keep cool (even though she got the last word in the end... xp ) She really got my respect in that episode.

I've also noticed that in other gundam series any female characters that happen to be pilots are never as good at piloting as the male characters. The fact that Noin could get in a mobile suit and show the gundam pilots a thing or two is what I liked the most about her. Also like you said she wasn't afraid to tell the guy that she liked how she felt or to stand up against him if she didn't agree. She has done female pilots in any gundam series justice!!

I've always been a huge Noin supporter. Thank you Preventer for finally giving her a topic, she's needed one for such a long time. No I think she's one of the females with the most guts and zeal, and she's so passionate about what she believes in a who she cares for. She basically gives up her "life" for Zechs at the end of Endless Waltz, that was so neat. I can really see her being a really awesome mother too, just because of how she treated her soldiers and the gundam pilots themselves.

Noin was extremely cool! While she was a female pilot she was by no means weak or the subject to the stereotypes other female pilots seem to be subject to. She was strong and independent yet she didn't hold her emotions in and was willing to rely on others, if need be. And she stands up for herself to anyone and everyone; it takes a lot of courage to stand up to your love like she did to Milliardo. Not to mention what others have said about her piloting a Taurus most of the show and still could hold her own against Mobile Dolls and Serpents.
She just doesn't get the acknowledgement she deserves, for whatever reason. Come on, she had a bar built for her students, how is that not cool?

She has done female pilots in any gundam series justice!! i totally agree. ive noticed that sterotyping can go overboard in some animes (not necessarily the gundam series) however, Noin does a justice to all such cases. she is definately one of my favourite female characters!
