 "NO FAIR!"
A very girly, young voice rang in the sky at the moment when everything seemed so...peaceful. Leave it to one of Bairn's children to spoil the nice quiet evening. Ha, it was perfect, actually.
The little dark yellow filly bounded her way out of the field, chasing a little rabbit who seemed to think it was funny to eat her bed. The young female had taken a bunch of fallen sticks and long pieces of grass and piled them up. After listening to her Papa rant about random stuff to her all day long, the little filly was getting tired.
And now that stupid bunny thought it was food. Stupid creature. "No fair!" Abattie repeated, louder this time. It was always something she did, repeating her words. She did so to give herself a little whiney tone just to get her point across.
It was strange to watch a small creature so...bright compared to what surrounded her chase something that was so much smaller than herself. But whatever, Abattie didn't care.
When she stopped to take a breath, the bunny took advantage of that time and took off into the forest, leaving the small filly all alone. Which made her angry. Tears started pooring out of the female and she plopped her body down. Life just wasn't fair.

A monarch butterfly flits around this happy go-lucky mare and lands on her mare which caused her orangish red eyes to cross. Tic Tac Toe tried her best not to move because she doesn't want to startle the butterfly but the butterfly's legs and antennas began to tickle her nose. The mare giggles before an explosive sneeze escapes her muzzle and to her dismay, the butterfly took off.
"But but... I didn't mean to!!" The mare cries out before she frowns, but she heard the foal's voice exclaiming about something that is not being fair. A small sensation of excitement began to rise inside her chest and she took off into the meadow. To her surprise, there is a yellow/tannish foal pouting on the ground. "Hey!!!" She calls out with a excited smile on her face.

The sudden and very random appearance of the...rather awkward mare had made the little filly jump high in the air. "Ahh!" She screamed loudly, unexpectingly. There was no clue given to her earlier on that she was going to meet someone today.
Let alone one...very strange looking one. "Hello!" Abattie said back, in a cheery voice. It wasn't like the little dark yellow filly to be like her Papa and not be friendly. That was just rude...and it would cause the world to hate you. Abattie didn't want to be hated.
"You scared me!" The young female giggled, her yellowish eyes directed towards the color of the new mare that stood in front of her. "Ooh, you have pretty hair! It's very many colors. Like a...a...a something, I don't know what it's called."
She sighed, there wasn't much time her in young life so far where her Papa taught her stuff other than the basic things and things she'd absolutely NEED to know. So knowing stuff like the name of a rainbow just didn't exist for the young filly.

Tic Tac Toe blinks in surprise as the filly screamed loudly causing her ears to pin back to protect her poor abused eardrums. She perks her ears forward as she beams more widely at Abattie. "Hiyas!! I am Tic Tac Toe and I am sorry I scared you! It looks like I have a terrible habit of popping in on the foals without warning them." She frowns lightly because she genuinely felt guilty about doing that. "Oh?? Its rainbow.. very pretty is it?" She beams as she leans her head down so Abattie could look closer or even touch it if she wanted to. "Do you know... at the end of the rainbow, there is a pot of grass or gold?" She grins playfully at the filly, determined to break the ice between those two.

The little filly wondered to herself if her screaming had ever caused anybody pain. She always screamed, it was a way of her getting attention, for good or for bad. Then a giggle escaped the young one's throat as the older mare's voice just kinda...exploded out words.
"It's okay..." She said softly, still laughing. What an unexpected surprise, to meet someone so much different then both her parents. It was almost like this yellow mare was hyper, which was something that Abattie was not. "I'm Abattie, ma'am."
A rainbow?! Now who ever heard of one of those things? Rain, rain...she knew what that was, right? No, she'd didn't...but the little filly just went along with it anywas. "It's pretty, the rainbow!" She giggled, and pushed her muzzle forward to touch it. So soft and perfect, unlike her own raggity short mane.
The randomness of this new mare was very strange, but welcoming and fun. Abattie at first, didn't know what to do, but her Papa always said that if someone was being friendly or polite, it was best to do it back. "Really?...What's gold? I know what grass is, but not gold. Ooh, so can we follow your rainbow to get these things?"

Tic Tac Toe shakes her head as she giggles at Abattie. "Very beautiful name for a very beautiful filly!" She exclaims as she does a little excited dance as she stops doing that and looks at the filly with curious expression. "Please.... " She laughs as she grins at the filly. "Don't call me ma'am.. I am not that old!" She nips at the filly's mane playfully.
Tic allows the filly touch her mane before she nudges the filly playfully. "You will be very beautiful when you grow up!" She smiles before she looks at Abattie with a laughter dancing in her eyes. "Gold.. umm.. " She cocks her head to side and sticks her front leg out, turning it around slightly to make it glimmer or shine. "That is gold.. but..." She pauses as she tries to think up a better explanation. "Two-leggers make those gold circles.. not very tasty!! and they use it.. to get other things." She looks at the filly before she laughs. "You are already looking at it! The rainbow made me." She grins playfully.

Abattie giggled slightly as she heard the older mare. Beautiful filly? Hardly, but whatever. This yellow mare was being nice, so the little filly decided to take it. "Thank you...ma'am. I mean Tic...Tic? Can I just say that?" Yellowish eyes watched as the mare had danced in front of her. What a happy soquili indeed. It was odd to see someone like that, her own family wasn't hyper or fun, so Abattie couldn't exactly do that.
And then Tic Tac Toe had nipped at her mane. It was wierd to have someone other than her Mama or Papa do that, because well...even though Abattie hadn't really met anyone else, her Papa had told her that most soquili weren't that nice. So meeting someone like this yellow mare was special.
"I will?" The little dark yellow filly asked, "Papa and Mama say that too, so I guess I will!" She giggled loudly, nodding her head. It was true...everyone she met had told her how pretty she was going to grow up to be, but Abattie didn't exactly think the same. Now, watching this strange mare as she moved about, the young foal couldn't help but laugh. What a strange meeting, perhaps a friendship could come out of it. "You're funny, ma'am...I mean Tic."
And then she realized what Tic Tac Toe had been doing and nodded. "Ooh, well gold is pretty. Too bad it doesn't taste good." Abattie frowned but continued, "They use it? How do you use a color?" The filly stared at the older mare like she was crazy. "The rainbow made YOU? Really? That's so cool! How did it do that?"
