Wacheza did not usually roam so far from his den, towards the end of the sea pride's lands, but today he felt particularily like wandering away from his siblings, at least for a little while.
Sometimes having five other siblings to constantly play with got a little boring. He knew them all so well... knew everyone in his pride well enough that he often just felt like being alone, with the sea and whatever small animals he could find to play with. But they often bored with him before he could do so much as talk with him. Butterflies and crabs were not always the most intelligent conversationalists.

Zuri had spent a long time travelling with her brother and her mother when the family eventually decided to rest. Zuri was a little exhausted, yet her adventerous instinct told her to explore on her own for a bit, but she knew it would not be wise to venture off to far on her own in unknown territories. The weather was rather nice, not too cloudy and rather sunny. The entire area felt much different than the area she was used to being in. She wasn't quite sure what was so different about it, but there just seemed to be a slightly different atmosphere. Perhaps it was just that she had spent so much time travelling that she figured she must be far from home. Zuri then wondered if the inhabitants of this place are any different than the creatures back at her usual 'home'. Probably not too diverse, they weren't that far away. Nonetheless, Zuri's curiosity increased as each second went by.

Wacheza finally found a place in a small cove, where he rested with a small dragonfly that had been following him since he started walking. The small green bug moved back and forth between his ears as he walked, but per usual Wacheza was too deep in thought to really notice. By the time he actually sat down, there were three more buzzing around him, playing with his ears and one even landing on his nose. He watched it for a minute, thoughtfully, and then he laughed a little, making it flutter its wings against him.
The young cub had no notion that there was anyone near him except the bugs, but even the it was debatable if he knew they were there with the exception on the one in front of his face, since it was just a little too obvious for him to miss.

Zuri noticed a small lion cub playing with bugs not too far away. He was rather close and she felt weird for not noticing him before, but even stranger that he had not noticed her. Zuri rolled her eyes at her own confusion and started to take a few small steps foward, still being cautious not to get too close to any stranger in these bizarre lands.
"Excuse me?" asked Zuri, feeling a bit lost as to what to say. "Uhm. Hi."
Usually Zuri was much better at conversation, especially at small talk. However, the current situation Zuri found herself in seemed to be so abnormal to her. She's been in abnormal situations before, but this situation seemed so normal compared to her other social situations that it made this one abnormal. As Zuri thought about this, she confused herself some more. Sometimes she just needs to stop thinking into things so much.

Wacheza started at being talked to, making all of the butterflies start and fly away. He slowly but surely moved his eyes away from the water and his disturbed friends over the the young lioness that had spoken to him. At first he wasn't sure what to say to her, so he just stood there, looking confused, which made him stare, which made his head tilt to the side in his way of making his movements look pretty, without meaning to.
"Oh..." He said slowly, as though trying to figure out exactly what one said when a complete stranger came up and spoke to him, "Hello there... who... do we know each other? You're not... in my pride... are you?" He asked, trying to make sense out of it.
Sure, he knew there were other lions out there, but he had never met one. It was completly alien to him, leaving him a bit baffled as to what he should say.

"Pride? No," answered Zuri, now starting to feel the conversation begin to flow. "I am part of no pride. Just travelling with my mother and brother, taking a short walk break to explore."
Zuri looked around, examining the scenery a bit more, wondering about the pride here. She wondered what it was like, though was not too interested in the whole system of prides herself. Prides were too uniformed and structured for Zuri's taste. Rather, she'd prefer her own role of leadership or independence.
"What pride is this anyways?" asked Zuri, a bit curiously. She had never been this far out before and didn't know of any of the prides in the area, let alone anything else about this new strange area.

Oh..." Wacheza answered, looking thoughtful before answering, "Bahari'mtoto Pride. That's what my mom calls it anyway." He was almost instantly facinated by the other cub he was talking to.
She wasn't a part of his pride. She had traveled. That meant that she had seen other things, other prides maybe, and certainly traveled to say the least. She had seen other things that he had never even dreamed off. His mind raced at all the ideas that flooded to his brain. The things she knew... the knowledge she had without even knowing it. It was perfect for him.
"I'm Wacheza, what's your name?" He asked, standing and walking over to her, moving his head to the side again as curiousity flew through him. He liked her already, if only because she was so different than what he was used to.

"The name's Zuri," she responded, with a thick and tough voice as she said her name. She wasn't quite sure why she did that, perhaps just to leave an impression or have her name really be remembered.
"The Barimoto Pride?" asked Zuri, not quite getting the pronunctiation of the pride's name. "What's this place like anyways? Anything to do for fun?"
Zuri guessed there wasn't too much, though she could be wrong. The cub was playing with insects of all things, so it didn't seem to Zuri that there could really be too much if one would spend their time playing with a bug. When Zuri usually gets bored, she plays with her brother, but perhaps this cub has no siblings to play with, or just doesn't find his siblings interesting?

"It's the sea pride..." Wacheza looked out at the ocean, then back at Zuri, "We play in the ocean, at least my siblings and I... but I like exploring... It's quieter when I have six siblings to work around at home." He said quietly, but he smiled when he said it, like he did really miss them all the way out there. "We aren't that big... but we're comfortable... I've never met a rouge lion before."
He said, looking back at her, "They're loud though... it's quieter out here. I can think. Why are you wandering around out here...?"

"Well, my mother and my brother were heading somewhat in this direction. Last night, my mother told me we were going to head a bit more east in the morning, so when she fell asleep, I decided to go out on my own," said Zuri. "So I kept heading east, its been a long time since though. I took a short break to sleep and then kept on moving. Let's see, I left just as the moon was fully risen and now the sun's been set for a bit of time. I couldn't be that far away from my family, could I?"
Zuri looked at the cub strangely, slowly beginning to wonder. At first she thought she wasn't that far from her family, but now it seemed to be a great distant a way. Her original plan was that her family would just end up meeting her here. But then she started to realize her 'master plan' may not be so well thought out afterall. Her family may start looking for her, especially since she didn't tell them where she was going. Oh, thinking of a plan at night isn't a wise move...
"Oh no!" she screamed loudly. "Help!"
Zuri began to panic, looking around wildly, as if completely ignoring the cub in front of her.
((OOC: Remove and I had a plot that the cubs would be seperated from each other and their mother at some point and after discussing it on AIM, we decided this would be the start of that plot, if that is alright with you.))

((Yeah, sounds good, Wacheza can team up with her to help her back))
Wacheza looked confused and a little suprised, "I'm right here Zuri. Don't be frightened, I'm here!" He had never had to deal with a frightened girl before. His sisters were both very independant. They didn't ask him for anything.
"Zuri please don't be sad! It's okay!" He tried his best to consol her, not entirely sure what to do, "I'm sure that you're not that far away from your family! I'm sure that they love you and that they'll come and find you! It's okay! It's okay!"

"How do I know they will come here though?" asked Zuri, crying hysterically at this point. "I don't even know if this is where they were going. What if they never find me? What if they are looking for me and something bad happens? What if...if..."
Zuri's voice trailed off as her throat went dry in panic. She felt her body freezing up in fright, it felt difficult to breath. She started to breath deeply and qickly, hyperventalating in panic.
((OOC: Well, if you want, Wacheza could join her for a bit, but Zuri will be wandering around all of the areas, mostly on her own. If you feel Wacheza would be up for that, he can join, but not for too long though. Her brother and mother will also be wandering around on their own, each looking for the other.))

((Yeah, he wouldn't be able to travel around a whole lot, but he could offer her some help for a little while at least ^_^))
Wacheza sat up on his hind legs and put his paws on Zuri's shoulders, looking her in the eye with his thoughtful and concerned eyes, "Zuri, everything will be alright. I want you to take deep breaths with me, okay? In, and out. In and out." He attempted to get her to breath with him.
He didn't want her to pass out, and even though Wacheza had just met her, he liked her. She seemed like a decent lioness, and she was only a little older than he was, and lost. He didn't know what he would do if he couldn't find his family. He would miss his mother and his father... and especially his brothers and sisters. But he knew where they were. Zuri didn't.
He didn't feel like he owed her anything, but he knew if he had lost his family, he would want someone to help him find them. "I'll help you. Don't worry, I know this area really well. I can help you get un-lost."

Zuri followed Wacheza's advice, breathing in and out at a slow pace, taking deep breaths each time. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. Repeat. Zuri closed her eyes, blocking out the tears as she tried to pull herself togeether. She will get through this. She has to get through this.
She just needs to make a plan, Zuri was good at that usually. Sure, her latest plan wasn't too smart and got her into this whole mess in the first place, but she'll make sure to think this one out. She can't mess up again. Not twice.
A memory flashed before Zuri's eyes. Her first time on a hunting lesson, chasing rabbits over to her mother. One of the rabbits got away, the other rabbit ran straight into the trap. She remembered the disappointment about the second rabbit who escaped, feeling it was her own fault. But then she thought about her feelings after, the feeling of success, the idea that she may make mistakes once, but will always end up with success.
She hoped that situation applied now.
Zuri opened her eyes slowly, suddenly taking charge and control. "Alright, I'm going to return back, but I will need help," said Zuri. "I need some food, I'm feeling starved. And a good rest, I'll need the sleep. It may set me behind on track, but getting a rest will allow me to be more careful and alert on my journey. Can you help me?"
((OOC: Alright, awesome.))

((Awsome it is ^_^))
Wacheza nodded his head, "Of course I will. I would be an awful lion if I left you alone when you need help to find your family! I know the area, so I can help you find some food... but I'm noot all that great at hunting by myself yet, I can still try my best! And I know safe places to sleep so you won't get carried off by water."
Wacheza was very aware of the tides, since more than once he had been so caught up thinking about something that he was chest deep in water by the time he realized something was wrong.
He had explored enough to know where the food was, and at the very least, if he sat long enough, animals seemed to come to him. He never really understood why that happened... but his siblings usually took advantage of it to catch fish and other things to eat.
