Ashe lay on the ground, gazing up at the night sky. Her companion, Coatl, lay near her, curled up and dozing a bit. Ashe was almost dozing herself, thinking over all of the details of the past few days. First, she had dealt with Tatsuya and had crushed him in his attempt to make her feel the same as him. She moaned softly, scrunching her face and forcing those horrid thoughts from her mind.
Turning her thoughts away, they landed on a similar subject. Ashe had grown recently, just like Tatsuya. She could fly now, well, relatively. She was still getting used to it. She still couldn't believe it. She was different, even from what she had been as a pup. Another scrunched face, those thoughts led right back to her conversation with Tatsuya and the events that had followed.
She rolled onto her side, wincing at the mental pain it brought her. Think of something else! she demanded silently, Anything!
They inevitably ran straight to the next subject. Her new "boyfriend".
"Damn." She said out loud, lips curling into a snarl. Why had she agreed to that stupid thing? Oh, how she wanted to regret it now....but she couldn't. That would mean she would lose to him and she simply refused to let that happen.

Zenith, often flying at night simply because it was easier to see, found himself pondering certain events as he looped through the chill night sky, looking much like an erratic falling star. He had landed himself a girlfriend, however unwillingly and now had to remain faithful to her. He even mostly surpressed his naturally flirtacious nature, but never once did he even consider being unfaithful.
The consequences were much too dire.
Seeing the numa that haunted his thought as the moment drowsing below him, he quickly circled down into a landing, quietly so as not to wake her in case she was sleeping.
Especially not the companion by her, since that one bit. He had learned that the hard way.
"Good evening, my sweet." He said with a small smile, and quietly enough so that if she was sleeping he wouldn't awaken her suddenly.

Ashe winced. Damn. I had hoped he wouldn't see me.. she grumbled silently, having heard his descent for he was hardly silent about it. Opened yellow eyes she looked over at him, bemused, "Fire-tail..." She began, tone a shade softer then ice, "What brings you here?" She sat up slowly, rubbing an eye and yawning a bit. She had just been beginning to fall asleep too. He ruined so many things.
Leaning on one arm, she regarded him with a raised eyebrow, "What have I told you about calling me 'sweet', fire-tail?" She rumbled, eyeing him coolly. Her tail twisted a bit, betraying her annoyed state. Really though, did he have to go and ruin a perfectly good evening with his presence? It was bad enough she had thought about him earlier! But now...well, she wanted to bite and not in a nice way.

Noting her mood it was difficult to keep from being the smartass that he is. But he couldn't help just one comment, "Come now, darling, you told me not to call you "sweetcheeks" and I didn't." He said logically with a smile as his eyes drooped to a half-lidded careless state.
He said down by her, but a fair enough distance away so she, or her companion could not harm him. His tail swished carelessly, singing a few marshmallow flowers and spun-sugar grass as he folded his legs and leaned back on his paws, "I saw you're lovely presence below, and what kind of loving, devoted boyfriend would I be if I didn't stop by to say hello?" He inquired, turning his head to give her a cheeky grin.

Ashe glared at him, what little there was left of her pleasant thoughts going down the tubes. She really didn't like this male. So cocky and arrogant, thinking that he could outsmart her. Well, that wasn't going to happen!
She watched him carefully as he sat nearer and couldn't help her upper lip curling back and revealing the fangs she had inherited from her father. "What kind?" She repeated, voice becoming sickly sweet, "Why, kweh, the kind that knowsss not to messs with kweh me when I look like I'm kweh sssleeping." She hissed softly, running a paw through her hair.

"Darling, I'm not messing with you, I'm visiting with you." He frowned a bit, blinking his glowing eyes at the green female, "You aren't very good at this whole girlfriend thing are you?" Zenith asked with a sigh, turning his gaze back to the deep purple sky, which to him with his sensitive eyes looked light blue.
Stars were mostly invisible to him, like the light blue was spotted with dots of white. The moon glowed almost as brilliantly as the sun. Though he could see clearly the colors were still paler to him than what most Numa's saw during the day.

Ashe looked at him, "Fire-tail..." She sighed, "I have never kweh been a girlfriend before." She gave him a feral grin, "You're my kweh firssst." She tilted her head back and away from him, which was probably not a wise idea, but she didn't really care. She rested her head on her knees, tired enough to already begin dosing as she sat there.
She stood up and stretched to prevent herself from doing so. "Coatl, love," She murmured, bending down to scoop him up, "We're going home, okay?" She cooed softly, nuzzling the dozing snake lovingly. She turned to him, raising an eyebrow, "I'll ssssee you hopefully kweh not tomorrow." She told him, intent on leaving him there alone. She wasn't about to get cozy with him tonight....or any night for that matter.

Zenith blinked, somewhat shocked as she got up and prepared to leave so suddenly. He had just barely arrived. He couldn't help feeling a little bad, she seemed so eager to get away from him. Quickly changing his hurt frown to a quick smile as he leaned back, arms behind his head.
"Must you really leave so soon, Ashe?" He asked, using her real name for the first time, "It is a lovely night, and it's perfect to see the stars..." He mused for a moment, "I bet they taste like peppermint. If we could only reach." ADD? Noooo...

Ashe's eyes narrowed suspiciously, but she glanced up at the sky anyway, "Mm...I kweh ssupposse..." She mumbled, barely agreeing with him. She yawned widely, and sighed, allowing herself to resume her spot on the sugary ground, if only for the moment to let her body rest until she had to move again.
Belatedly she turned and looked at him strangely, "Isss kweh sssomething wrong?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at him, "You kweh jussst usssed my name." She reached out to feel his forehead, "You kweh sssure you aren't sssick?" She asked, almost joking. What did she care if he was sick? It would get him out of her hair for a while.

"Oh, haha." He rolled his glowing eyes, but couldn't help but grin cheekily, "What good would it do me to annoy you, if I'm trying to get you stay and keep my company." He shook his head to get her paw off his face, then blew on the bit of mane that had fallen into his eyes to get it out of the way.
He pointedly didn't respond to the "are you ok?" question.
"Not much a night creature, eh? What are you doing out here so late then, I mean, before I found you." He turned his head to look over at her.

Ashe wrinkled her nose at him but didn't comment, she hadn't really liked touching him either. She snorted, tilting her head to look up at the starry sky, "...Right." She mumbled finally, covering another yawn. She angled her head back at him, her one bit of hair falling over one eye, "I kweh am a bit much of a kweh night creature then mossst of my kweh family..." She yawned again, baring her fangs from the force of it, "But lately I've been kweh more active during the day, ssso..." She shrugged, "I am kweh a bit more tired at night, yess?"
She laughed softly, "What kweh busssinesss isss it of kweh yoursss?" She asked, leaning back on her arms to survey him, "It'sss not kweh like you really care." She looked down at her little companion again, glad to see that he was still asleep through this conversation, he was very....adamant on his position about them.

Seeing her yawn so forcefully made him feel bad about making her stay. She was obviously very tired, "I have no business, I'm just nocturnal by nature." He winked a yellow eye at her. Sitting up he looked over at her.
"You know if you really want, you can take off. I'm sorry that I made you stay, I didn't realize you were this tired." He stretched his wings from laying on them.

Ashe shrugged, turning and grinning back at him, "Ha, ha, but after my kweh boyfriend asssked me to keep him company?" She teased, smirking, "That would kweh be terribly rude of me don't you kweh think?" She looked up at the sky again, arms wrapping around her knees, "No..." She mumbled, absently tilting her head to get the hair out of her eyes, "It isss kweh my fault for ssstaying out ssso kweh late." A shrug, "I will kweh get a bit of a talking to, but," She angled her face back to him, still smiling, "I would anyway, sso I kweh might asss well ssstay."
She ran a paw through her hair, mumbling something inaudible before resting her chin on her arms. Her long tail flopped and twitched nervously, not that she could control it. It was of the type to betray her mental state which at this point was quite agitated. She wanted to go home right now, but she thought leaving him would be rude, even if she did dislike him so very much.

He didn't understand. He had given her a way out and she hadn't taken it. If she disliked him so much she should have been eager to stay, fear of getting told off or not. He cocked his head curiously to the side before his eyes caught a view of her tail going off spasmatically.
"I see." He frowned thoughtfully, "Well, would you like to go for a quick fly? The cool air might help to wake you up!" He suggested, smiling and flapping his wings eagerly. He really enjoyed flying, having caught on as quickly as he had.

Ashe winced and shook her head, "I'd rather....jussst...kweh I'd rather not try flying..." She mumbled, shifting awkwardly. It wasn't that she couldn't fly, she was well able to; it was just....well, she wasn't very good at it and it embarrassed her quite a bit. She wasn't afraid to fly in the normal sense, where the height and distance would make most scared to do so it was just...well, she didn't particularly like to fly as a rule.
The tip of her tail flicked rapidly, and had she known it she would have been more then a smidgen embarrassed, but she didn't. She was far too wrapped in herself. Even despite the entire situation, her own bit of embarrassment and all, her body reminded her of the fact she was still tired. Another yawn, even wider then the first, made her jaw crack audibly. When it ended she manged, in between her embarrassment and preventing another, a faint, "....oww..."
