In Final Fantasy IX, Cloud is referenced. smile
In the weapon shop at Lindblum, check out the swords on the wall.
Zidane makes a comment about how a "spiky haired guy" who wielded one of these. The spiky haired guy must be Cloud. smile

Also at the end there is a reference to Cloud and Squall. In the play after the final battle a line is spoken, "No cloud, no squall shall hinder us" by, I think, Zidane, while hideing under the cloak.

I like the fact that Cloud is a playable character in FF :Tactics. What I don't understand is his Limit Break Cherry Blossom. Did it come from the japanese version or something?

Theres also somewhat of a Resident evil refrence in Lindbulm castle (I think its there) there is a fountain/statue thing that when examined says something along the lines of "there is no place to put the medallion".

Yep they do make reference to Cloud in 9 and Tactics and also in FF1 they make a reference to the grave of Link from The Legend of Zelda series.

I like how Cloud is playable in tactics, but his ability to use his special attacks only when he has the materia sword equipped is really annoying.

They might just be talking about the weather. >.> I mean Cloud is a given, and a squall is a heavy a** windstorm
