Tangia had come to the mall with Uncle Ramiro, but the poetic soul had soon ventured off to the bookstore, leaving her to find her own way around the mass of stores and people. After a good bit of wandering, she found herself in an odd decorating store, one that smelled of caramel and was a mishmash of trinkets and shiny sculptures. She found herself lost in the small white porcelain dolls, one of which was dress strikingly similar to herself in a white sundress with small white bows tied on either side of her head. With the doll clutched in her hands she explored the other sections, hardly aware of her surroundings past the first few crystal figurines.

She'd had a doll once. If she had to, she'd swear to it on her honor (but not on her microscope.) Perhaps that was what drew Aure to the store full of the sort of things you'd get as a gift and keep to give to your children and they would give it to their children and so on for forever, until the sun exploded.
Well, theoretically. The blonde ran her fingers through crystal chimes, bending over a little so she wasn't towering over the shelf. This place was sickeningly sweet; she really, really wanted to get out, but Kate wasn't done shopping yet. With a grumbled sigh, she sulked down the doll aisle, occasionally sparing a glance for the dolls themselves. She brushed by Tangia with a barely-audible "Excuse me" that was probably more habit than courtesy.

"Don't worry ab-" Tangia started to say, eyes on the floor. But when she lifted them momentarily she recognized the girl's striking eyes. She seemed to freeze, simply staring at the other that she couldn't quite place. Suddenly, it hit her. This was Aure, but, bigger Aure. At least she thought it was. "Do I... Do I know you?" She asked quietly, reaching to touch the other girl's back. It was out of character for her to do something like that, but she was genuinely curious.

She turned and fixed Tangia with a look. "Tangia, right?" As she spoke, she moved out of the reach of Tangia's hand with a cautious look in her eye.

The bunny girl nodded slowly, clutching the doll to her chest as she explored the others eyes. There was something very familiar in those deep green eyes. Very very familiar. She lowered her other hand to touch the doll's head, searching her mind for the signficance of this. So it was Aure, but she looked a lot different. "Aurelius?" she asked, just to be sure.

She nodded stiffly. "You're... still just a little kid," Aure said uncertainly. How awkward was it to meet someone who had known her as a baby, but had never seen her as a toddler? She knew the answer: very, very awkward. "What's... been going on?"

Tangia didn't really see anything strange about her appearence, but since it seemed to bother Aure she tried to think of a way to explain it. "I met my sister," she told her, "And I don't think that I can get any bigger until she does." It was a strange connection they had, earlier her growth had been stunted from worry and sickness, and now it seemed she was happy this way.

"Huh," Aure said. She didn't have a sister, and she wondered if people really could have their growths slowed by the presence of siblings... or maybe the lack of? She was certainly growing fairly quickly. "Well, a sister. That's exciting, right?" The girl tried a smile, but it felt forced even to her.

She nodded purposefully, showing her friend a smile for what felt like the first time, "She's my twin, so it's doubly as exciting." While it was true she was still physically young her mind had slowly advanced in the meantime, leaving her now thinking only a few years behind Aure. "How about you?" she countered, "You're big."

Aure's smile grew less forced. She did so love talking about herself, after all. "I'm fine. I'm going to Catholic school, which isn't too much fun, but I attend good classes and don't spend too much time at home..." Her smile seemed to shrink as she spoke, perhaps thinking of the reasons why that made her happy. "I grew about a month ago," she said importantly, straightening her white shirt. "It's much better than being little... no offense."

Tangia nodded, then perked up at the mention of the school. "Really? Mother was talking about sending me away to school when I start. She says that I need to be in an environment where I can learn without my brothers and sisters getting in the way. Where is it?"

"Up north," Aure said dismissively, gesturing vaguely. "I don't really know too well where it is." She did have vague ideas- it was cold there, so probably nearer Aekea than Durem and its desert surroundings. But there was no real exact idea. "I don't know that you'd go there, though. It's one of those 'old' schools." Her tone told Tangia what she thought of that.
