Anoying guitarests that take all the glory with five minute long solos and exsive volume and ingonrance for the rest of the members, Drummers with large amounts of cybole bashing that tends to drowned out even the loudest of amps, and who take a good amount of a song with a rediculous double pedal and snare combo, or some thing else? Bassists you all know that those kind of people like to step on you. And what do, you did, you would you do, to stand over them?
Me I bought a high wattage cab and powerful head to drowned them all out if I want to be hurd.
EDIT: I never really said who I dis like, me I hate glory hogs. I like to solo too, and I like to have song that is blanced and equal for every one, which since I now have a very loud rig is hard to do. I like things to be all equal in sound volume and solo time. I like to play the same thing that the guitarest is playing but on a lower tone, I like to vib the stage and make all the girls happy. BUT I like the guitarest next to me to whail like a banshee and the drummer to pound so loud that people start to bleed, and the key boardest to make such a strangly wierd wisper that the coud shivers and all at the same time. That's the best but getting things like that is one of the hardest things ever. And People I hate are people who just don't try. Its really hard when you use a lot of distortion and stuff also.

I'd say the most annoying musician is one with an ego too big for their skill. Only Yngve and Vai are allowed to act like jerks to everyone, but i still wouldn't want to be in a band with them for anything more than making a good buck. Of course, the way I decided to handle egotistical guitarists is by being louder and playing better than them. Thankfully, nobody I don't like tries to trick me into being the rhythm in bands. I'm a bassist, not a metronome with pitch.

People who boast more then skill dont bug me, becuse I am better then them genraly, so I have no problems with them, they try to hog all the spots with there soloing, but I come out in the end. The people that actuly bug me the most are incompatent people, who have no clue what there doing in the least bit.

I am bugged by anyone who whines or complains in a band. Or someone who blatantly doesn't want to practice their instrument, or care about the sound that they are making. Other than that, I can take enough authority in a group to take control over any situation. I don't take any BS when it comes to music.

i'm not bothered by bad musicians, because when they get better, makes you proud somehow

i'm really annoyed with people who dont take Critism or advice, like my current singer, were trying out a new one tomorrow cos hes such a whining arrogant little b*****d

hes so annoying, i tried to give him a little advice, cos i'm a singer, and i've performed some of the songs were playing and i asked him to stick more to the original melody, cos it was the first time i heard him with music behind him, and he got all offended and saying, why are you paying me out, your insulting me so much, i thought we were friends and you say you hate me, i thought we were tight

and i dont really like him, hes a cling-on, and, just, s**t, he makes out that hes such a better singer than i am, and he cant even sing Purple Haze - Hendrix, i performed Black Dog - Zeppelin and The Ocean - Zeppelin, which are alot harder than purple haze, i know cos i did that one too, i liked my blues band, i want it back gonk , but the the bassist was left and i wasnt that good back then and the guitarist joined a band the drummer was in with an incredible bassist, and a crap singer/rythmn guitar, there gonna kick him out soon

I hate people who always go on when there needs practising to be done

Well, in my old band, they wanted me to play roots and fifths for every song... I'm beyond that... if the song calls for it in a part... Ide do it... but I dont do mindless bullshit over and over... they wanted to write everything and leave me out... they didnt want me to have any say in what we wrote... after all.. I was just the bassist... they new me better than that... two of them were in a band with me before that and I hadnt changed at all... I was the only one that wanted to sound different... grrrr... since when did artistic creativity become part of the past...
damn, in the 70's not a single rock band sounded the same... you had yes, pink floyd, Zep, Boston, stuff like that... why is it that today the only goal is to sound like the next band... for example, In my local scene... we have two types of bands... hardcore and emo/ indie

and when did Indie become a genre? Dear god... indie used to describe any band that was independant... but now.... grrrrrrr

see where this topic gets me...

back to the point... I wasnt drowned out in sound... I was drowned out personaly... my creativity was bagged, tied, and thrown into a river... I hate any one that screws with art... writing music is a selfish process... you do it for yourself... not so you're liked...

EDIT: sorry about that rant mrgreen

I couldn't really say. My band is extremely equal, mostly because we've been friends a long time, but we each get our moments of glory, and none are obnoxiously long.

I was gonna make a point about this earlier, but this thready is in danger of moving extremely off course... Its turning into a "band member rant" rather than a what annoys you rant.

I dont think we need to talk about members of your own bands here. I actually think it is wrong to talk about people behind their backs. Usually it will come back at you later on.

Remember that!

nah, we broke up... and they went behind my back big time... so... yeah, most people say "I wish them the best of luck" and all after a break up... but I really dont... animosity much?

Well, situations aside, I was sorta speaking in a general perspective. Some people were talking about current band members. I just know with all of my experience, talking crap behind peoples backs in bands comes naturally, but it is one of the biggest band killers out there.

I know, that's weird. My best friend is a drummer, how can you not like your fellow rythmist?

Well the only people i have a problem with in a band...are the people that either think they are the s**t

or the people that put down other peoples music...i hate them lol.

Ok now people that solo long times, if it fits..its fine with me.
Im in a hardcore band and double bass and snare is fine with me, but me and the drummer are balanced on that biggrin .
