An chance meeting between Kinji and Ramiro
Set at roughly 11pm on a night of the Waxing Gibbous moon phase

The moon is a beatiful sight. Powerful, brilliant, some might even call it a guiding light. Whatever it was, Ramiro seemed captivated by the concept. For most of his life, he'd never seen lunar light, no less this mystifying vision. It reminded him somewhat of his mother, what he remembered of her at least. Which in truth, wasn't much. Maybe she was looking down at that same light?

As he stood atop the roof of the apartment complex, he began to wonder if anyone else was awake at this hour. The wind was starting to blow, but it wasn't that cold. Summer was nice, not too hot, and not freezing either. What was that smell? Hmm, there were so many odd smells here, mechanical, chemical, and natural. He shivered a bit, and instinctively reached to cross his arms across his chest, startled for a moment when it clicked he only had one arm. But then, falling into a pattern he was starting to get used to, he reached his remaining arm up to rub the back of his neck.

There was something familiar in the air, but he couldn't quite tell what. Ah well, no sense in losing sleep over something he wasn't even sure about. As he turned around though, he realized what it was. Across, not fifty feet away was the woman that had stood by him when no one else had. A smile crossed his face as he took a few steps toward her, trying his best to be quiet despite the soft shuffle of gravel lining the surface. When he was about five feet behind her, he finally worked up the courage to say something, "Is there something on your mind.. Kinji?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. I just thought maybe..." He trailed off, flashing her a warm smile before walking forward, nearly to the edge, and sitting down beside it with a quick glance at the ground below. Turning so that he was facing her, he set his hand on his knee and continued, "I just thought you might like some company. I was about to go in, and then I saw you over here, so I figured. Well, color me stupid."

"Hmm.. You know, I'm not quite sure." He tapped his temple to point out the color of his remaining eye, "But I think yellow would match." He slid forward a bit, more to get close enough to see her well than to get away from the edge. "You know, I can't thank you enough for helping me. I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record, and maybe I should just shut up." Before he finished the statement he turned so that he was sitting beside her and looking out at the moon, "But I won't, because it's just not my nature."

He blinked a few times as she drew, slightly confused by the action. When she finished he blinked a few more times before settling and showing a smile, "You know, it's just a saying, but I like the literal meaning." He looked at her for a minute, amazed by how adorable she was when she was happy, but only for a minute, before a blush came across his cheeks (It was a little discolored because of the marker) and he turned away, putting on a cold facade that had saved his hide on more than one occasion in Hell.

"Oh. No. It's nothing" The blush faded a bit as he turned to look at her. Normally, he would have looked at her out of the corner of his eye, so she wouldn't think he was staring, but that was impossible to do with one eye, as long as he was on this side at least. "Beautiful." He mused, then caught himself and added onto it, "The moon I mean, don't you think?"

He looked away from the moon and found himself watching her again. Oh boy, he'd said something stupid again. By now she probably thought he was an idiot, an ugly idiot, maybe he should go inside and leave her alone, but no, his mouth was trying to say something again. Knowing his luck it would be something even stupider. "I." He stopped, no, that could offend her. "I um." He leaned forward, brushing his hair out of his face. "I wasn't just talking about the moon."

He blinked, his mind blanking at her response. "Ah.. I was.. I was talking about. Everything." Great save genius. Stupid stupid stupid! "Everything up here is beautiful." Oh boy, just go on and make it worse. Why couldn't he just learn to shut up? "I um."
