Life went on; or in the case of the jungle, it at least tried to move on. Ushaufu knew it was having a hard time at doing so, but alas, it was apparent that the will to live was strong. The branches offered resistance as he came came through them, landing upon the ground less than gracefully; sadly, though his huge wings were good for flight, they hindered his movements when within his 'home' land.
His mind was elsewhere however; specifically, on that small cub he'd chased away, into the pridelands, a while back. She was well out of harm's reach by now, he was sure of that. In fact, he'd made sure of that, in his own way, but still, the way that cub had acted, had looked at him, bothered Deception. It was probably her eyes, he thought idly as he pawed at the earth, the sound somewhat comforting him as he pondered, for after all, movement had always helped him think.
Those liquid red eyes, and those words; I hear the wind, and it's whispers.
The god's own red eyes narrowed down as he glanced sideways, his protruding fangs making his scowl look grim for a moment before he allowed himself to sigh. It was no good just thinking though; he had to get back to Kizuka, whom would doubtlessly had a lot to ask. Him leaving had been a selfish reaction, but he knew his mate would understand once he told her about his little expedition with the small cub he'd met near the Oasis. Kizuka always understood, and forgave.
And thus, this in mind, Ushaufu stood and moved himself through the trees, never bothering to hide his wings, for after all, whom was there within mistweaver territory to see but his mate, whom already knew, and his adoptive daughter, whom would probably brush it off as dream of sorts?

Who was in the Mistweaver territory? Why, the Princess, of course. She was stalking through the trees, tail flicking from side to side. She wasn't agitated, but curious, however. Still fairly new to the area, she found every opportunity she could to wander out and explore what she could. To find out more about her home than what she was able to hear second-paw from others.
Her conversation with Kizuka had gone well, and weighed easily on her mind. Another who remembered her from long ago, a time she didn't remember. With former members slowly coming home, perhaps there was hope for the pride yet. If they could get the rains to come home as well... Well, they just had to, that's all there was to it.
Her footfalls were not muffled by the dryness under her paws, but Masika did her best to try and be as quiet as possible. There was no telling who, or what you could run into in a place like this, all alone. It certainly wouldn't do if she got herself in trouble, all things considered. No, she was being careful, but even the most carefully laid plans of how to avoid confrontation didn't always work. It wasn't but a moment or two before she would come into full view of Ushu, more than likely.

It wasn't till he came face to face with a pale lioness that Ushaufu's mind skipped into a halt. Only one word seemed to repeat itself over and over within his thoughts, almost like a mantra. As much as the god did his best to try and look intimidating, like he'd been when he'd seen that white cub, days before, he couldn't help but look like a deer caught in headlights, "s**t," the word was said almost harshly before he bit his tongue and glared at the female, whom he had already recognised as a Mistweaver.
After all, the slender build, and that ruff of hair, almost symbolic, reminded him of his own mate, "s**t," the word was repeated again, his mind racing as he tried to recall what little he and kizuka had talked about; she'd told him she'd found the pride, and talked to the princess, a pale hued lioness, by name Masika, or was it Manika? Makisa?
He wasn't sure, but the description, and the way she'd entered the clearing hinted vaguely at him that this lioness might just be the princess, "Shiiiiiiit..." this time it was hissed under his breath as he took a step backwards, his wings arching behind him. Idly he took note that next time, he'd hide the damned things upon entering the Mistweaver territory; Deception would not take chances again, however, what harm had been done, was already done, and as he stared at the female's eyes, he narrowed his own, "Forgive my foul language, you took me by surprise," even though he'd narrowed those blood red eyes of his, his maw offered her a smile. The teeth made it seem more of a smirk however, and though he'd backed off enough to give her space and had taken a seat languidly, he knew the fact his frame was large would not go unnoticed.
A long pause followed, after which he bowed his head somewhat, never taking his eyes off of her; after all, females could react chaotically when they felt threatened, "Princess of the Mistweavers, I presume?" lifting his head up again, the god folded his wings against his back, the crackling, sickening noise they made only masked when he moved his feet against the dry foliage, "Kizuka had told me she'd seen the pride... but I was not aware it was this near the border," a pause as he lowered his head again in a bow, still smirking somewhat, "They call me Ushaufu, though I might best be known as Deception; charmed."
After all, there was no need to deceive if when she'd already seen his wings. Despite his words, his mind still seemed intent on repeating the mantra; Shitshitshitshitshitshiiiiiiiit, it went, over and over.

Masika blinked, pausing in her advancement. She hadn't realized another was around, and was as surprised as he was. Her ears flattened against her skull, but she held her ground staring at this strange newcomer. Just what was his business in her lands? Was he a threat, or was he 'salvation' in disguise? Better yet....what was he at all?
Masika had yet to meet a God face to face. What she knew of the gods was second hand at best, and very influenced by the firekin's irritation with the higher beings. However, there was no telling whether this was truly a god or not.
His words were easy enough, his tone seemed genuine. Masika allowed her ears to raise up a little, no longer pressing them as flat against her head as she could. She, in turn, also sat, drawing her paws up in front of her frame to pose a likeness to the statues of Bast, worlds away from the Mistweaver lands. Curling her tufted tail around her paws, her crystalline eyes gazed at the newcomer thoughtfully.
While he had the advantage of knowing her, she knew nothing of him. At least, until he mentioned Kizuka. With that name, granted him a bit more favor. "Indeed, that is who I am." She waved off his language without a passing thought. To each their own, and frankly, it wasn't as if she saw the words as anything but normal speech. "Welcome to the land of the Mistweavers, Ushaufu, though I'm afraid there's not much to look at here. I assume you're the companion Kizuka told me about?" Thoughtfully, Masika tilted her head, trying to recall more of that conversation with the lioness. She hadn't said much about Ush, but enough for her to give a fair guess this was indeed him.
"Most of of the pride shies away from the borders, unless looking for something to eat. I, on the other hand, am scouting out. I'm afraid, I have had the need to become reacquainted with my home, as I have been gone a long.... long time." Bowing her head, the princess paused for a moment, heaving a bit of a sigh. "What brings you out this far from everything, if I might ask?" She smiled lightly, showing that she meant no harm or foul by the question.

Though it was barely noticeable at first, the god had relaxed down significantly; this female was not lieing to him in her intentions. That much he could see, and it was enough to put the male at east; enough to allow him to look away from her and towards the tall dry foliage that surrounded them, and thus offering her respect in a way, for eye contact was something felines usually shied away from, "You'd be surprised..." the words were murmured at first as he ruffled his wings; then suddenly, with a small movement, they both vanished from sight, as if they'd never been there.
Slowly allowing himself time enough to recollect his thoughts before talking, Ushaufu finally turned to face the princess, "The welcome's a bit late, Princess," he could not help but smirk slightly, "I've been here a long, long while... these trees have seen me grow," again a pause followed, "Well, to answer that question it'd take a riddle, but seeing as I'm tired from hunting, and my mate awaits me, I shall skip the riddle; initially a game of deception brought me here. Then it was love that brought me back," his eyes narrowed down, if only slightly. It wasn't really a test, but he wished to see if the Mistweaver princess would understand what he was talking about without him voicing that Kizuka was in fact, now his mate.
If she was cunning enough to understand the underlying hint, she'd doubtlessly gain a bit more of respect from him (after all, the fact she'd managed to keep her cool and her grounds even when coming face to face with him was hint enough to be respected by), "Indeed, I am the companion she set out to bring back; thought the tables have changed and the title of companion no longer fits," his nose twitched as he took in the scents before nodding, "Wise little one, that you are; the pride too. A leader must be wise enough to know her territory and the pride must be smart enough to keep themselves low," again that smirk of his showed as he bowed his head once more.
It was an obvious sign of respect, even from a god that scarcely acknowledged others and usually blew them off as dimwits, "There is more to see here than others might think... this is the place I've come to call home, with her highness' permission," raising his head up, the smirk had vanished, and his face seemed serious enough to hint at the fact he was not lieing. Then again, being Deception always put him at stake with others; it was others' choice whether to believe him or not.

Quite to contrary, Masika was unlike most felines. Having ducked and avoided eye-contact whilst being a slave, she was not afraid of catching the eyes of another now. If only to make sure she knew of their intentions. The saying went that the eyes were the window to the soul, and that if you studied them, they could tell you everything you ever wanted to know about a person, or lion. Moves could be predicted, motives discerned, and thus, learning from experience, Masika had learned quite early that reading another's eyes was quite an important asset. Thus, she calmly kept from looking away, although Ush's gaze deferred away.
She shifted slightly as his wings disappeared from view, finding it slightly unsettling, but certainly not threatening. "Late, but better than no welcome at all, I assure you." The mistweaver princess perked her ears up at his riddle, though he said he'd skip one. She was no fool, and had seen and heard in the way Kizuka had talked of him that he was more than just a mere companion, even if the lioness herself hadn't entirely realized that yet. Kizuka, in a way, reminded Masika of a long ago... she wouldn't have called her a friend, but she would, at the same time. Jua had been similar to Kizuka, of this she was sure. The lioness indeed caught his hinting, and nodded her approval, as if it had been needed, before offering up her own version of a riddle.
"Cubs of old have grown and prospered in a land most would regard as dead. The Blood returns, slowly but surely. Those who return, do so with a greater knowledge and respect for the land than ever. It is this that will see the pride through to the next generation. The Storm King stirs, the air is different, can you tell?" A bit of a grin slipped past her lips, before fading slowly. She acknowledged the bow of his head with one of her own.
"Deception is welcome," she stated, using the other name he'd given upon introduction, "so long as he abides by the rules of the pride as every other member." As an after-thought, she added, "and as long as he plans to take care of himself and his own." It was a reference to her understanding of the relationship between Kizuka, her daughter, and himself.
"I only hope that the pride remains strong, against outsiders and dry season alike."

The smirk which had dropped away from his maw was swiftly revived by her words; it was not intended to hold malice, but quite the contrary, for the god was impressed. Oh, he liked this one, and wouldn't mind following her rules one bit, "Deception always plays the game by it's rules," there was a pause and his eyes shone within the limited light, "He shall also take care of himself and his own as he has been doing for a long, long while by now; we shall be of no extra 'charge' to you or your pride, you may rest assured. Kimaji is young still, but spirited, and Kizuka is weak, but will get strong soon; meanwhile I shall be feeding them myself," his smirk grew if possible, his head tilting to to one side, "Wings are helpful when looking for food..."
He left it at that for now, seeing as how she was as sharp as he'd hoped she'd be, he didn't feel the need to add onto said words. Her riddle however, made him chuckle, "A girl after my own blood, I see; at any rate, leaving the use of the third person aside," he looked up into the sky that peeked through the trees, "I do not know the Storm King myself; I was never a god to roam the heavens. I stayed on Earth, but if I knew Him, I'd have called upon Him myself by now; He must his own reasons, I'm sure," a pause as his nose took in the scents and again he allowed himself to gaze into her eyes, smirking, "I fully agree though; I can scent it too... I noticed a Change a whiles back; I wonder thought if The blood is pure," his smirk dropped and his eyes seeked hers seriously, "During my travels I heard rumours of Fire breeding withing these lands - it was that notion that initially drew me here myself, and though I bear no Hatred for them, I still wonder even today. I know Kizuka was bothered by the thought."
His eyes strayed towards the vegetation that was dried and dieing around them then, an ear flickering to hear the distant call of a bird, "Strength comes in different ways, Princess; but from what little I hear, if this pride was strong enough to survive within this land, shy of strangers and able to keep itself hidden from harm's way... it may just have what it needs," a pause before he followed, offering her a smirk, "Besides, you said it yourself; I feel the scents changing, and the Rains st iring, even if they can't be seen yet. It'll take time, but there's still life here," as if to express this, his paw raised, black claws becoming visible, unsheathed as he dragged it over the trunk of the tree he sat closest to. The deep gashes he left on the bark revealed the tree to be alive within, even if it looked dead on the outside, "Appearances... can be deceiving. There's hope yet to come, I'm sure."
He knew about such things more than anyone, or at least, he liked to think so; if there'd been hope enough for one such as him to find something as love, there was no doubt within Ushaufu's mind that there was hope within these lands. They still had a soul within them, and that's why he'd chosen to return to them with Kizuka.

It was doubtful she realized how she was impressing the god, but it was no matter. She was doing what she knew to do, or hoped was the right thing, at the very least.
Chuckling slightly, the Princess nodded to his words. As long as he provided and made sure mouths were fed, she had no problem with him. A member already vouched for him and thus she would trust until he gave her a reason to otherwise.
"It's alright. I, for one, think the Storm King deserted us for a reason, and that we simply need to rejoin, to truly become a pride once more, before he'll shine his favor upon us." Pausing, she added, though mostly to herself, "Everything happens for a reason, whether we realize it or not, I suppose..."
However, as he mentioned the mixing of Fire with the mists, her eyes, though crystalline, the color of ice, blazed with fury. "Fire is far from welcome here, and, while rumors have been floating quickly throughout of that being true, I will tell you that it will NOT be condoned. Those lions are monsters and will NOT be welcome here. Not after what I've lost to them." She stood, her stands firm, her claws unsheathing and digging into the ground. It was obvious the subject was quite painful for her to deal with. "I have yet to see any in my wandering but I will have you know that if Red crosses the boundaries, they will be dealt with accordingly." While he bore no ill hatred for the firekin, she did, and had just cause to be.
Far from calm, though level-headed just the same, Masika nodded once more. She saw the life still within the tree he used as an example. "Indeed. The forest lays in dormant state, hovering between full death, and regeneration. Let us hope it holds out until we have gained the Storm King's thought and favor once more." It was clear that, even if her home did die and wither away, Masika was likely to stay until she died, in a home she'd never known until now.
Turning her head towards him, the Princess tossed her head tuft. "What of you? Is Deception the name of the game that will be played while around the other pride members?" She figured, without a doubt that Kizuka knew of his... winged form. But of the others? She highly doubted many knew of the winged beings roaming around. Such was an advantage to the pride, a hidden asset for any trouble that might come their way, but it was up to him on whether she should keep quiet about it or not.

A nod was offered to the younger female as Ushaufu pondered her words; indeed, everything did happen for a reason, but his idea on the matter was more of a 'whether we like it or not'. He kept this thought to himself, his maw settling into a grim line as he listened and nodded; he seemed to be doing a lot of that around her. Nodding, anyhow, for he felt this one was intelligent enough to gain his respect.
It wasn't till he spoke of fire that Masika's eyes turned ablaze, making him arch a brow at the sheer irony of the description, however, he was more than smart enough to know when to keep his maw shut. And thus, shut it remain as she spoke; there'd once been a time where he would've shrugged off her words, for after all, what had he to care about rivalries of old? They only served to amuse him. However, Ushaufu had changed enough to deem these lands his own, in a way, and the home of those he loved, thus said rivalries where now important. Especially since they could bring harm to his family, "There is much to be gained still though, even if you have lost previously; you've gained experience that I doubt many princesses have," upon his words, his maw lifted into the ghost of a smirk - barely there, but still it somehow reached his eyes as he too stood, moving closer to her now.
Of course, there was no way for the god to know of her past, or what she'd been through, but he'd observed her and listened to her enough to note that not only had she been away from her lands for long, but she'd gained something lots seemed to lack; that what would commonly be defined as 'street smarts' per se. It was a gift not much of the royalty of many prides possessed, having lived secluded and pampered all their lives. This female however wore the scars upon her pelt to prove herself, "I do not know your story, Princess," he murmured as he stood before her, shaking his head slowly, "But I am old enough to notice what you've gained; that gift might as well save your pride, for the git of experience is not one that many have," his red gaze traveled behind her, narrowing as he tried to peer into the deeper part of the jungles before it returned to her.
Sitting himself down once more, he motioned within, "I figure, if fire and water did mingle, you shall have a cross of features and pelts, of colors too; all I can say is... look for red. It seems to mark those of the kin of fire, above all," he did indeed bear no hatred for them, for he was partial, but these lands, and his mate did in turn bear great hatred for the past they'd caused. Due to the fact they were thus a threat, Ushaufu would treat them as such, "I have no ways of knowing if said rumours are true or not, for after all, I am Deception, but alas..." he shrugged somewhat, "Sometimes rumours are true, and sometimes not; let's hope for your sake and Kizuka's that they are not."
As she spoke to him, the male blinked, and amusingly enough, tilted his head to one side, the gesture childish, smoothing his features into something akin truthful innocence before he chuckled, "Well, I planned on that, really; I didn't wish for those within the pride to know me for my Domain, but for whom I am," arching a brow, he continued, "My wings usually make others nervous; Kizuka thought I was death personified when she met me," the words here were drawled out before he turned serious, "I did not think it'd be bad to keep this a secret, however, you the princess may request me to show myself; as I said, I'll play this game according to your rules," a pause as he raised a claw in the air, using it to scratch his chin thought fully, "There's one thing I'll tell you, however; it's easier to defeat and adversary when it subestimates you. It's the power of Deception that keeps many creatures alive; if someone attacks and you have something hidden they do not expect, it can be your winning asset," he smirked again, "I know this well; my wings look useless, and many doubt they even work. It's thanks to this fact I have come unharmed from many a situation - no one thinks they'll work for flying, but they do. It's that hidden knowledge that keeps me safe... it's the fact those whom look down on me are deceived that works in my favour."
Amusingly enough, he was quite sure it was also why he lacked a full mane; the lacking hair was usually a sign of weakness, yet it was clear Ushaufu though usually content to avoid physical fights, would be quite a force to consider if his family and home were at stake.

"I thank you. I can only hope I can lead the pride to prosperity, but that remains to be seen. My story, however, is a rather easy one to tell. The short version anyway. I was kidnapped when barely having been born, my family either killed, or torn apart, by the firekin. I spent a good portion of my life as their whipping child, along with a friend I have brought home with me. He is not unlike you, Deception. He lacks a good portion of his mane due to the lack of proper care, as he spent longer there than I did."
"However, he's one one of the strongest lions I know. Not in brute force, but in mind as well." She nodded, understanding exactly what Ush was talking about when he spoke about appearances being deceiving, especially his own. Kitwana would likely get along quite well with Deception. Or desperately hate him. One or the other.
"Your secret is safe with me. I agree that hiding, in this case, would be the best choice. Not just for the pride members, but the pride itself. If they do not know, then they cannot deceive us and warn allies. However, I have faith none of the members would do such things. Still, better safe than sorry. No telling whether they have friends who might be spies." Pondering thoughtfully, Masika continued. "Deception shall be the greatest adversary of the Umande'mfuni, it seems." Her eyes sparkled in delight, already amused with the idea.

"Huh..." his eyes had strayed from her, narrowed down in thought as she spoke; his voice was the only thing that seemed to hint at the fact he'd been listening to her. He meant no disrespect, but her words had made him ponder for a moment, "I wonder... just how many gods you, or others may have met in these lands, disguised," he stood then, having spoken as if thinking out loud. Finally giving her his full attention, he shook his head and frame, almost as if trying to rid himself of dust, or perhaps a thought, a feeling, with the motion, "Deception shall fight for you, should the time come to do so; you may rest assured, for in being Kizuka's queen, you are in turn, mine too, and you shall be given due respect," his head lowered a fraction, the hint of the smirk dancing upon his maw.
His words were not completely true in a sense; he wouldn't offer her his protection just because she was his mate's queen, but because he liked her. She'd probed to be interesting, and intelligent. She'd probed to him that there was other mortals out there, aside his mate and her daughter that deserved admiration and would gain his protection in a time of need, "This shall be interesting..." lifting a paw, he scratched his chin slightly; the idea of a game, finally, after so long, was quite enticing. Specially if one took into account that the last game he'd played had had... unexpected results; he'd fallen in love mid game. This time however, that would not happen. This time, he'd see the game through to the end, "If you are ever in need for an illusion..." and at this point, he moved his head ever so slightly, a tinge, and their surroundings melted into darkness, only to burst into life; the forest was no longer dead around them, no longer dry.
In fact, it'd burst into life; birds chirped, long wines creept around them, trees looming over them with fierce joy. It was a mirage of what the lands had long been, "Feel free to call me; through my mate, but by seeking me out if you wish. I will happily offer you my help," and with those words, the illusion around them melted back into the harsh reality, his body passing by hers, stopping by her side, "What you just saw doesn't precisely have to be the past; it too, can be the future, you know, if you work for it," he stayed rooted to the spot, smirking at her knowingly, almost as if he knew a secret she did not. He didn't, really, but he was amused, and the fact showed in the way his eyes twinkled; there was hope for this pride yet, with such a queen, he thought.
"It's just... a matter of time," he paused, looking away from her, wondering if he should head to find Kizuka, "I take it, you've spoken to Kizuka as of late, then; she's been horribly worried that you, or the pride, might exile her, or myself. Am I allowed to lift such doubts that cloud her mind?"

"The future is a long time coming, I'm afraid. Nothing will be that green for a good while, even when the rains do come back. It'll take time for the herd-beasts to realize our home flourishes and can support them once more. We're lucky those who have stayed have done so as long as they've done. Perhaps, by leaving them alone and hunting at the borders we have assured ourselves from having to relocate permanently. With luck, and rain too, those herd-beasts that remain here will grow stronger and repopulate our home once more." Masika paused thoughtfully for a moment, before shaking her head.
"Even that will take time. Even when my time comes, things will not be as they were before, I fear. Likely about as good as when I came into this world and was stolen away, but not as it was in my father and mother's time, for sure. Still, it's a start. One that I hope we shall likely see begin soon enough."
"Indeed, I have spoke with her recently, and yes, you may ease her fears and doubts. No one under my watch will run you from these lands. You've both shown your devotion and ability to survive without pressuring the rest of the pride, and for that we are ever grateful. Just remember to avoid showing yourself in particular, and all shall be well." She let out a chuckle, knowing full well already that he would pursue caution in this case.

There was a pause, followed by a smirk that seemed to grow upon his maw; it was almost unsettling in a way, even if not entirely meant to be that way, and then the god chuckled softly, "I've not even been hunting near the border... been taking the game from far away," this was mentioned off-handedly as he made a vague reference to his wings, "For now, it'll do," his gaze trailed off towards the trees then, his nose inhaling deeply, "I smell life; it'll come. It might not come within this generation. Might not come within the next, but you mark my words; I'll be here to see this land flourish again. It's seen me flourish, so it's only fair that I see it flourish back. Round-about is fair play."
If only it were that easy... yet the words were said with such seriousness that anyone could have believed them; even those that did not know him to be an inmortal. His wings had vanished from view upon earlier words, leaving him looking like a normal lion; or rather, as normal a lion as Ushaufu could look. Even without the lack of mane, and the his huge frame, the sickly green color of his pelt might have seemed abnormal, "It won't happen again," it was a vow he made then and there, his red eyes narrowing as he promised that much to himself, "I was careless; I did not know there were others so near the border as we were. I will make sure to land outside the forests from now on and hide... myself, before coming in from now on. It will not do to have them know Me as I am," at least, that's what he thought, "I rather be seen by those that live here as a mortal; I even rather those outside see me as such too," he smirked, "Deception is my game, and your asset; it might even come in handy, as you've mentioned."
Another pause, a fleeting thought passing through his mind which he discarded before shrugging; it didn't matter, for now anyhow, that he also wished to settle down and in time form a family here. The thought could not even be toyed with, what with Kizuka in her current state. He'd come to the determination a while back, that day he'd noticed he'd loved her, and yet he'd remain silent on it. The thought still nagged at the back of his mind however, "I'll take care of her," he stated calmly, nodding at the queen, "And any other connected to us, by blood or pride," looking off through the vegetation, he seemed to reconcider his thoughts, looking curious for bare moments, "Is there a... er... King I might need to send my respects to?" he was, in fact, asking her if she'd taken up a mate, however, his words had not been all too carefuly chosen, "I'd not wish to keep secrets from your mate, if you have one, so long he can, in turn, keep it."
Thus was his final question and statement; for now anyhow. He needed to get back to Kizuka as fast as posible. He not only missed her, but he needed to see if she was fine.

"A king, there may be, despite whether others agree how valid a claim it is. He is by 'blood', surely no mate of mine though." The young lioness visibly balked at the thought. Maji was certainly not mate material for her, even if what he said was all a lie and he weren't related to her. She hadn't even thought of taking a mate at all, at this point, let alone who would be the lucky suitor, but it certainly wouldn't have been anyone like Maji.
"Whether you reveal your secrets to the King or not is your business, though I would advice caution on that. Deception works in many ways, even when you're not aware of it yourself." A riddle perhaps, but she suspected there was some form of deception at work with Maji, one way or another.
This was all she had to say on the subject, it seemed at this point.

Ah...
Now this was interesting, to say the least. Deception, however, opted for keeping his mouth shut and instead merely regarded the Princess of the Mists with a tilted head, expression unreadable. He was far too smart, and far too keen to not notice the hint of sourness in her tone, "I see," obviously losing himself in his own thoughts for a few moments, the god pondered.
He pondered specially her last few words, and the vague warning she'd given him; he was adept enough in the game to have an inkling of any idea of what she meant, "I will heed your warning, My Queen," he smirked at the words, his red eyes narrowing, for he'd with that sole phrase allowed her to understand he not only respected her, but would turn to her in times of trouble for direction, "I will be on my way now; my mate is probably wondering where I've been," he failed to note he'd been missing for three full days, alas, that was thankfully not something he had to explain to Masika, "It was a pleasure meeting you."
There was a pause, just as soon as the god turned to leave, one paw lifting in the air, remaining there for just a moment before he turned back to face Masika, "If you're ever in need of assistance, please do not hesitate to come to me. I'll do whatever it takes to help you, this land, or my family," he added a somewhat possessive tone to his voice, almost as if daring someone, anyone, to threaten that what he'd listen. This done, he offered her a small bow with his head, his bangs cascading over his eyes, and then, he turned and left, vanishing through the foliage.
