The day at the amusement park had been fun... until now. Mellifee had lost track of her guardian in the Magical Mirror Maze. It looked like she had been deceived and was following one of her reflections. It probably happened when she had stopped to make faces before a mirror that dilated her whole head, keeping her body at a normal size.
She looked around. Siamese Mellifees, thin and elongated Mellifees, distorted and fat Mellifees, inverted Mellifees... Nothing but herself, reflected by the numerous mirrors. Her sister had vanished and there were no one else either.
Squeezing the plushie she had won at one of the games stands and her pack of candies - good thing, she knew she'd be able to survive for a while at least - she started to wandered about. Maybe if she stumbled across people she could follow them until the exit.

The Magical Mirror Maze. The name itself seemed intriguing to the dove, but it held much wonder inside. Stepping into the place, she had found countless mirrors. She wondered how mirrors, usually made of glass and it's back silvered, could manage to change the shape of one's reflection in many different ways. Keeping a mental note to try to find out later when she reached home, she headed deeper inside, forgetting all about her brother who was outside waiting for her. One couldn't blame her, she was drawn into fascination. So much until she didn't notice the other girl, and bumped right into her.

The little bee girl didn't hear anyone coming and got so surprised at the unexpected contact she dropped what she was carrying. She was going to pick her possessions up again when she noticed a pale face with red circling the eyes reflected in the mirrors.
She rotated and stared at the comer. "Are... Are you a ghost?" she whispered in a half-frightened tone.
She was confused because her mind was still fresh from the previous attraction she visited, which was the Haunted House. It was actually fun to see all the fake monsters trying to give you the goosebumps. But her sister commented she wasn't to go exploring the maze that was located near her home as there were real spectres there. She didn't recall the mirror maze was supposed to be any haunted but now she was on her own in an unfamiliar place she didn't felt particularily confident.

"Ghost?" Alora repeated, confused. She had never had someone mistaken her for a ghost before. Her wings fluttered rather nervously as she bent down to gather up the other's possessions. Wordlessly, she handed it back to the other girl, while she observed her. Who was she? She did seem different from normal people, like Alora herself was, with perhaps animal DNA too? But what would she be?

Now she had seen her face to face Mellifée could see that it was a girl. Not a human one though, there was an avian quality to her. She had seen a lot of different types of people here at the fair, though those who were half animal were much rarer.
She recovered her items. "Thank you.." she said, feeling a bit silly and squirming her tail in embarrassment. "Err... sorry, hum do you know how to get out of here?"

Alora's tail feathers tingled with nervousness as Mellifee mentioned that...she was lost. She herself had no idea where the exit was.
"I'm not exactly sure." She admitted.

It looked that they were in the same boat. But it was reassuring not to be alone anymore.
"Maybe we could look for the exit together then..?" asked Mellifee. "My name is Mellifee, I'm a bee. Well I'll be one once I'll go past the larva stage", she added conversationally. It was something she looked forward to. Her shell had harden lately, and sometimes it itched badly, it was really annoying.

They were both lost then. Alora wasn't too worried, because sooner or later, they'd find their way out right? A carnival wouldn't be so mean as to trap people inside and let them wander about, lost in the hall of mirrors? It wasn't as if there was a Minotaur and this was Crete anyway.
"Alright." It was better to stick together. She was a bee larvae? Well, no wonder she seemed to be covered in this hard shell. "I'm Alora, a dove."

Mellifée looked around. Which way should they start with? The corridor they were in seemed to fork into three possible paths. Then her eyes came back to the dove girl.
A dove? She certainly had bird features, though she didn't have beak. The other little bird girl Mellifée had met didn't either. She wondered if Alora could get airborne with her wings, that'd be nice indeed. "Say, are you from D-corp too?"

Let's see, one two three. Which would lead them to the exit, which would lead them to never ending turns and face mirrors wherever they looked? Intriguing...Alora could see why they built it in such a way.
"D-Corp?" She looked back at the bee girl, and gave an involuntary shudder. She didn't like the place, it was so cold and empty. Plus the techs didn't seem to care at all. It was lucky Mom brought her home. Still, she held no grudges against the other D-Corp children, most which she met were nice anyway. "Yes, I was."

Mellifee had left D-corp only a year ago but had little recollection of it, probably due to the fact that she passed the first years of her life in a semi dormant state, eat-sleep cycle. It was the place she used to be, she could felt activity going around, but in a very vague way. There was a slightly sizzling and metallic voice speaking to her, that teached her words. And there had been those people in labcoats when she fully awoke and they said someone was coming for her. That's all she could remember, and she knew she had to go back there for classes soon so she actually felt rather enthousiastic to meet another D-Corper.
She brightened and even forgot about the maze for a moment. "Really!? Do you have a dragon yet?"

Alora hadn't went back there yet, she was somewhat interested too, when Ligeia had said his father could teach her flying. Which she wanted to master, her brother was already effortlessly soaring with his leathery wings. He wanted to teach her, but seeing their wings were different, Alora had politely declined.
A dragon? Yes, Mom had metioned that she would get one soon. She wasn't as interested, her brother was somewhat, since he was part-dragon after all. "Not yet." She admitted.

"Oh". Mellifée was eager to get hers. She felt she was missing something without it. She'd like to have asked more questions if the girl had answered in the affirmative, but unfortunately it wasn't the case.
And for now they should think of a way to get out of here. She hesitated a bit then pointed to the left path: "Maybe we can try this way? What do you think?"

"Well..." Alora stammered slowly, fidgeting with her skirt. "I know I'm getting a brass dragon. Do...you?" She asked shakily, giving a little shy blush.
"Ohh. Okay." She confirmed with a nod of her blond head and took small steps towards it, glancing back at Mellifee with a questioning glance.

Mellifee trotted after the dove girl as they advanced further in the mirror maze. "Oh a brass dragon! That's great! You went to the egg tour then? I went there too! Mine is going to be a plant dragon. I'm not sure what is it going to be called. Did you decide a name for your brass dragon already?"
Mellifee tucked her plushie under one arm so that it wouldn't slip then rummaged in her bag. She scooped a handful of candies and proffered them to Alora: "Do you want some?".
