She wound her way up the curve of a hill dotted with pine trees, away from the den and away from River. She knew it was dangerous to be alone in her state but she had a promise to keep and a...servant to summon.
Her smile twinkled in the pale rays of early morning sunshine and above her a small bird twittered. The day was waking all around her, the gathering birdsong so loud that it covered the sound of her paws. The grass felt good beneath her paws and it made the old she-wolf eternally glad that she had been strong enough to make it to Spring. She had thought the blizzard would have done her in but here she was, surviving.
As she reached the top of the hill, Sirena positioned herself and prepared herself for her call.
She raised her nose slowly, took comfort in the sight of the fading twinkle of the stars and howled.

Croanyl's ears were flattened against his head as he grumbled to himself, half stumbling a path through the trees and underbrush towards the source of the voice he heard. She couldn't have waited until later? Croanyl truly hated the daylight, so bright and warm, he liked colder and darker areas better, they suited him well.
He grit his teeth and pressed on and sighed, tail swaying behind him haphazardly in an annoyed manner, he did wish he could've gotten a bit more rest other then getting up early on a day like today. The stars were fading away, the birds were out, he snorted. Stupid birds, so cheery and loud.
He swore under his breath as he finally burst from the trees, a gay and black mass with white eyes peering at the female with her nose pointed in the air, his shoulders were slumped forward, an agitated grin on his maw, "You rang dearest?" he stated in a mocking devilish tone.
Females...what could you do with them really?

She snorted at his ignorance, lowering her head to narrow her eyes at him. Her hollow orbs were shadowed and emotionless yet it was clear she was struggling to keep back her tongue. If she had been younger, stronger then she would have told him a thing or two about respect.
Instead she huffed, ignored his mocking tone and swept up to move past him. Come. She said slowly, The time has come for me to share the rest of my plan. She turned back at him and the smile on her maw was most unpleasant. My son, whom is your target, waits only a short trek away, to the west. She pointed her nose in the direction that she spoke and continued in a lower voice. He lives there, surrounded by fat pack wolves, lazy and stupid. My sources tell me that their alpha is a black male whose lands verge the sea. I have never been there before, but I have instincts and the air has changed. We draw close, correct? She did not care if he believed her or not.
My partner is unable to aid me in shedding blood so now, dear white wolf of death, I turn to you. I will lead you to a battle that will end in your victory and in the rise of your infamy. She sauntered him a greedy look. All I ask is that you allow me to watch as you deal the killing blow. Let me revel in the death that you bring to him. She was trembling now, her thirst for revenge driving her mad.
Her bloodshot eyes were wild with bloodlust as she turned to the larger, stronger male. I have longed to taste his blood for so long. And she drew her face closer to the male wolf's, seemingly lost in the past. Are you ready, wolf of death?

"By the sea?" Croanyl frowned, a satanic glare in his eyes as he seemed to wander in thought for a moment. A black male alpha with green eyes he mused, he chuckled to himself, shook his head and padded along with her. "Seems I am always drawn to that place of hell...no matter...I will shed blood again there...least kill something this time..."
His thoughts went to that of the black wolfess with the crimson markings upon her pelt and he growled deep within his throat. He'd kill her one day, perhaps he could side track a bit and kill her too, and others that got in his way. Perhaps...he could give that helled alpha another scar or two as well.
He flicked his tail and continued along, were they going straight there? He wanted to kill, taste the warmth the red luscious liquid dying bodies gave off. "You can watch as long as I get to feed..."
I need to feed on him if my future plan is to work..then, if I can't kill that wretched wolfess this time...next time I'll be able too. he mused, yes, he had future plans of which to build off this females'.
He did not answer her question, just gave her a look from his white eyes that showed he was ready.
He was ready tot rek back, and cause havoc once again.

She turned to him as she walked, forcing away the pain in her leg. Nothing could stop her now, not when she was so close. Not when she could finally give her legend an end. She breathed in the fresh air and smiled slightly, enjoying the feel of looming victory. She was going to finally get her revenge.
You have been there before? She asked, masking the surprise in her voice, Then you know the way better than I. Tell me, friend, is the pack large, well guarded? How well do you know the lay of the land? She was obviously still concerned about getting past any scouts. If we can sneak in and find where the beast is staying we can draw him away from the heart of the pack. Then we can make sure it is a fair fight.
She smiled, long and secret as she thought of tricking her son into following her to his death. It would be a wonderful sight indeed! This thought obviously pleased her as ultimately she would be bringing his death, but without the mess on her paws.
I have a plan to lure him away but it will be greatly helped with any secret pass-throughs that you know.

Croanyl kept up his steps, he felt a slight pang of ache in his neck and leg from his fight with the stupid brown mutt guard and the large black buffoon. How he hated them, hated them all, if only they had let him kill the damn she-wolf that still resided within the bounds of the territory, then everything would've been just fine.
He sneered, chuckled somewhat, "Guarded? Yes, many guards there, I got in within the borders quite easily though several wolves there I have history with..." damn the children of the prophecy...they'll die someday along with that she-wolf...and her counter part, then everything will fall into place...
Philokiss, I shall have my revenge on the lost souls of our forsaken valley of the past...the valley of the wind shall fade away to nothing... he was musing to himself, was silent, didn't speak until he thought of how he went into the borders, it wasn't hard, though he did remember having to weave his way around a brown female.
"There was a brown female on the borders...I stayed out of close proximately with her, wasn't too hard to get in...but to find the one you seek without trouble is a different story..." he grinned, remembered the small female he had knocked out, scared her nearly to death, he wondered how she was now...
Perhaps he should seek her out again, and that orange and cream buffoon as well.
He'd have many targets there if given the chance. "Good you have a plan...I plan sometimes, but you promised me blood, I fully intend on letting you bring him to me to fall at my paws..."

So there is a weakness in their defences. Sirena snarled, limping up an incline in the ground. It was steep and went up some way, but the old she-wolf seemed to have found a new strength in her finding of Croanyl. I shall play the innocent. Sirena continued, I will walk to the lands, pretending to be an old wolf needing protection, then when I'm inside I will find that son of mine. I will lure him out to the edge and to your waiting fangs. Her eyes glinted and she gave a small growl as she stubbed her toes on a rock.
The problem will be getting him to trust me. I am praying he has become a fool with age, though if he resists we will have to get you inside the packlands somehow. She pulled herself up an exceptionally steep patch of ground and then limped up as the angle began to fall away beneath her paws.
Tell me, what is your name? Or does such a wolf as you go by no name? She wasn' sure she wanted to know, but she felt uncomfortable not having a name to give him.

"I will get in if it requires it...if one see's me, and gets in my way, they shall fall too,"oh how I hope its the orange or mutt buffoons, how glorious would that be, and even better, to make the orange one fall before that she-wolf I made tremble. Yes, so glorious he made a growl-crooning noise in his throat, the thought bringing him happiness in the darkest of ways.
"My name? I have gone through many, the darkness from my old pack," he said sarcastically, he grinned to himself as he watched her stub her toe, have a bit of trouble.
He indeed got pleasure from others pain and misfortune.
"But if you must know, I am Croanyl," he was a demon, a plague, a disease walking on eath, yes, he was Croanyl. "And you female? Have you told me your name yet? I do not recall..."

A little of her sensible mind came leaping up to bite her, calling out warnings to break away from this lunatic male. She despised them, yes, but she also needed them and it was that need which forced her sanity back.
She wanted to see death, she wanted to see the life of her children snubbed out. Then, finally, she could rest eternally amongst the stars, running along the sky with her dead mate at her side.
My name? She had almost forgotten her true name, Sirena. It had held a great meaning for her in the old days, sprouting from it's greek heritage. It spoke of the sirens and their beautiful songs that lulled men to their deaths. Perhaps her name held meaning still. However, only her mate would ever know her full name. To everyone else she was known as;
Ren. She replied curtly, My name is Ren. And finally she breached the incline and paused to take in the view. Laying out below her was a blanket of green trees and beyond them...
The glittering sea.

"Ren it is then..." Croanyl said with a smirk and a sneer, his pearly white fangs glistening from saliva that was itching to be tainted with blood. He quivered on the inside, he wished for blood so much. His tail arched up as that familiar scent came to his nose, he snorted, the salty air bothering him. He hated that scent with a passion, it meant they were near the she-wolf, the other buffoons that had gotten in his way, the blue idiot and the black male adorned with white stripes and seemingly blind blue hues.
He hated them all.
They'd all die by his fangs one day, he was sure.
"This sand, that patch there, leads to their border but...I warn you, the black buffoon alpha walks the beaches sometimes...and...the others do too, best to stay a bit inland," yes, the others, if only he could catch the black adn red female before he got there, put the scent of blood in the air and on his tongue to get him even more ready for the brawl ahead.
"Are you ready Ren? Death is calling us..." he sneered, opening his mouth in a devilish grin once again.

She nodded and felt her heart clench at the sight. Somewhere down there lay her son, that disgusting little runt pup who had fled before she'd had a chance to snap him up.
The day her pups and betas had betrayed her she had managed to kill one of her children. Just one. Three remained...though Sirena had also been told that Sable was dead. Somehow she had the feeling that he was and it brought great relief to her heart.
So out there lived Gizmo and Orphen. She just prayed that the child she had killed of her daughters, was her only one. And Gizmo, she doubted he would have been able to mate with any female, being so puny and weak.
She turned hre head back to Croanyl and nodded grimly, she had no desire to go getting sand in her fur anyway, and it had no cover. Yes the trees would be her friends now. She would slink between them, find her son, feed him a pack of lies and lead him to his doom. She would play her part well.
I am always ready Croanyl. She replied, Death has always called me. And with that she set off down the slope and into the trees.
It would be another day before they reached the outskirts of the Outriders but Sirena was patient enough. Finally, the time had come.
