Lorindel, a small utopia where no sense of crime or injustice lived. A place of only pure innocence in all manners of the word. But it was poor, hanging by a thread and ready to be snatched up by any watchful eye. Sadly one such person found this place. Her name was Forenthiel.
She entered Lorindel with the promise of properity, saying that she would be able to bring Lorindel into the future and all they had to do was trust her. No payment necessary. The bargain of the devil.
Like the naive fools there were, they trusted her without fail, and the city did indeed grow more prosperous. Lorindel became popular, at first a small city that catch a trader's eye, but soon it became much more than that. Lorindel became a metropolis in only a few years, the place booming as if it was always this way.
But this properity came at a price. The utopia disappeared, and the once crimeless town had now become a sin-ridden city, where corruption was beinning to rule all. The few who had never liked this change began to complain to the Forenthiel, begging her to bring the city back to the way it was, but not even she could turn back time...and she didn't try very hard.
Lorindel became even more properous and corrupt until there appeared boundaries throughout the land. Boundaries that were clearly seen by all. Not walls to block your path..or at least not physical ones. One side of a certain street could contain second rate homes while the other side would have mansions. Others would have rundown bulidings while the rest had trash for buildings. These clear boundaries was only a step away from what happened next.
A caste system. The Elite, the Omeda, the Standard, and the Damned as the last group were nicknamed for reasons unknown (no one remembers their former names anymore). Forenthiel was among the Elite of course, her influence on the city as strong as it ever was. You would think that such a power in the city would have taken it over by now, but she had no intentions of ruling the city, not publicly that is. She preferred the subtle side of rule. Being the brain behind the throne. And that is exactly what she did.
And just when Lorindel was at its height of corruption, the Games started. Or more accurately, the rumors about the Games. People from the Damned and Standard alike were being kidnapped and then set free in a randon area of the city and then hunted down like an animal. These rumors soon led to accusations and all of them were about Forenthiel. But nothing could be held onto the woman for long, or even if it could be placed on her at all. She was beyond the law and everyone knew it.
This lasted for countless years with Forenthiel controlling each mayor of the city like pawns either through fear, greed or just the fact that she placed them in that position in the first place. That is until one mayor stepped up on his own, one that was neither bribed nor afraid of the consequences of defying the Lady of Lorindel. The mayor was none other and An'an Kaido, a man who had at one point became Forenthiel's left hand.
He turned around the police system so that those who were on her payroll were either locked away in jail or exiled depending upon their rank. For every disappearance there was a new person who was comepletely loyal to him, whose skills rivalled that of the infamous Watchers in the Games that had by now spread throughout the city and was broadcasted daily.
The mayor's power grew quite fast as the city's crime levels drastically fell throughout the city. The Games diminshed, but they didn't stop. Forenthiel wasn't defeated as most thought, for she almost seemed unable to stop the tide from changing. Slowly but surely everyone realized her new plans for the Games slowly evolved into something much much worse.
A game of Chess.
Forenthiel had long since been developing a drug to make her Watchers stronger and faster than before by unlocking their more savage nature which if they weren't human, reacted had a different reaction for everyone. For some, it sent their bloodlust into madness, while others had their powers grow tenfold. It lasted for only a short time, but it was effective. She allowed this drug to filter into the city, altered slightly so that it had even more addictive properties than before. The crime rate has began to slowly climb.
But even as Forenthiel is seen to be gaining the upper hand, there is yet another person who has come to Lorindel almost like Forenthiel had done so long ago. No one knows if this person is male or female or even why they have come, but they have brought with them the arrival of technology few have ever seen. Self automated cars, androids of all shapes and sizes that are used just like computers or another activity needed of them and there are rumors spreading around that this person may have a new line of prostetics that even accomodate the whole body. It is unknown if Forenthiel and An'an are vying for his/her allegiance or see them as another enemy.
Now for those who have lived in Lorindel for so long to know that change is an all to dangerous thing, what will be you next step? To allow yet another person to take over the city or kick them out with a swift kick? Or will you let this person in and see how this three side chess game turns out?
You are the ones that this scheme will effect, so it is up to you to save yourself and the city you live in.

The Elite - They are, in all sense of the word, the elite. They are the richest, most successful people in all of Lorindel. Some made it on their own through trial and error while others, were chosen by Forenthiel to join her, mostly politicians and other entities that ruled the city. One thing is certain, once you enter the Elite, you are forever changed.
The Omeda - These are the doctors, lawyers, athletes and singers and the like in the world, the second richest beings of Lorindel. They do not hold as complete of an influence as the Elite do on the the city, but it is enough. And they always try to become part of the Elite, either through their own means or through a deal of sorts....through Forenthiel
The Standard - The basic workers or Lorindel. Bus drivers, teachers, factory workers..pretty much the middle class of the city. They either don't care about moving up because they are comfortable in their lifestyle or just can't do it all.
The Damned - These are the lowest of the low, the deformed, mutant-like beings who are the lost souls of Lorindel. Something about them has always made them the victims of life, either their looks, or their abilities..maybe just the fact that they were runaways. And one thing was certain about the Damned, once you entered the group, you never could rise higher.
::The Games::
It is well known within the Elite and the Omeda that the Games are indeed the truth, but only the ones who participate, or created it know. It is a secret that has been kept well hidden until now. Someone must have leaked it into the media, but whoever it is would have most likely left the city by now, for safety reasons of course. But with such a powerful city, its influence has stretched. Let us hope that the person escapes with everything in tact.
The objective is simple. The Watchers, a group that is specially trained in the art of combat and capture, will search for a new 'participant' for the game. This is usually one of the Damned, but sometimes for fun a Standard would fall prey to a Watcher's eye. Once they have found a subject, they kept a close eye on it, it's every move monitered as it is studied to the point that the Watcher knows its move before the person makes it. That is when the order is given to capture the target and bring to the newest 'arena'. Which can be anywhere in the city, even in the Elite quaters.
The target is allowed to friutlessly find a way out or hide as the information the Watcher has gained is used to his/her advantage. And then the one last order the atcher his given is to kill their target. The hunt always drawn out, torturing the poor soul until the final battle ensues. It is not totally a one-sided battle seeing as the target can use all of it's surroundings while the Watchers must use all of the weapons it chose for this particuler person. But that doesn't mean those weapons aren't hi-tech...
Now that things have changed, the target is now merely a ploy to bring An'an's men out for a true battle. If the Watchers win, then of course the cat and mouse game will continue, but if they lose..then the round is obviously over.
::The Latest Technology::
At this moment in time there are only a few things that this person, who has now revealed atleast their name to be Kanda, has shown with the city that people have been seen using.
Androids - Walking computers that seem to have a mind on their own...atleast when they are left alone. Can look human or animallike depending upon their use.
Simple Prostetics - Can range in appearance between automail or a true bodyparts. The price varies depending upon its uses as well.
Self-Automated Cars - Cars once given the loscation, drive themselves to the desired area.

Advanced Housing - Homes that are fully operated by computers.
Advanced Prostetics - Something the can range from eye replacement to complete body replacements.

1) Follow the Gaia Rules
2) Cursing is allowed, but don't use it in every sentence if possible.
3) Romance is welcomed and you should know by now how far you have to go before taking it to PMs.
4) Respect is key in this thread. If I see anyone breaking this rule, I will make sure to give your life hell.
5) Writer's block is a killer, but if you must make a one-liner let it be something that is of some use, especially if you're rping with another person.
6) I would like to be notified if you will be gone for more than a weekend. It would save more time and I'd be able to relay the story to you easier.
7) Everyone knows the difference between OOC and IC. Make sure you post that way..
8 ) If I must add rules, then I will. I don't wish to do this though.

This will be where the storyline will be place every three pages for all those who are absent or late incomers.
1-3: Introductions were made and smaller plot being set as the influence of Fatal Vein grows thanks to Forenthiel herself it seems. An'an and Akashi meet once again and abruptly meet Orb just as the mayor's newest assistant reveals himself to be the latest android models made by none other than Kanda himself. Meanwhile, Lyka a demon that has fallen victim of Fatal Veins is greeted by an unwelcome guest of her past (Psych) and they both begin an unfinished battle.
4-6: Their battle continues and Psych is the clear winner as the red drug wears off and leaves Lyka almost helpless. She is only saved by a life debt Psych needed to repay. Just as their battle ends, Forenthiel brings a loyal watcher named Kiko to a meeting with the strange Kanda and barely finished their introductions before Vajra, his own bodyguard finds him. Unfortunately, Psych also finds the group and tries to find a way to attack Forenthiel, but is stopped by Kiko.
7-9: The fight was short and brief, but left both parties injured, one by poison and the other by a dagger wound. Forenthiel and Kanda parted ways, one out of common sense and the other by force. Later on, it was Lady Kanda who had a dinner meeting with An'an and his recent guest Sir Akashi as the recent opponents, and the day ended with Kiko and Psych healing their wounds. The next day began with Pysch attempting to steal food from one of the Omeda named Orb and leave, but the last part of the plan wasn't happening as fast as he hoped.
10-12: But it did end much better and he wound up with an unliekly sparring partner, the time set and waiting. Meanwhile, it seems that An'an has been creating an 'antitode' to Fatal Vein, according to Forenthiel's resources, but it seems to be more addictive than it's opposite red product, but that won't stop the Lady's plans for even then she just sent her most recent bodyguard (Kiko) to retreive the latest assassin out for An'an's head...Lyka...
13-15: As Kiko went to fetch Lyka, she also sent out anther Watcher, one that was required to retrieve Psych. At the moment she calls herself 'Blades', but her resemblance to the Lady of Lorindel is far too much to be coicidence. Meanwhile, Kiko and Lyka are having their own version of the Games as Akashi and Orb meet and both appear to be a bit distracted, one by the other and one from a familiar presence nearby (Dez).
16-24: In the end, Pysch and Lyka were taken into he Watchers Headquarters and placed within Lady Forenthiel's brutal care. Psych's venom was unfortunately something that interested the Lady so much so that she took some for herself..and his fangs as well. Lyka on the other hand, merely had a problem with authority, her authority, and payed the price for it blood and the return of her addiction. It was only through a being named C'age that either one of them survived. For unknown reasons, he helped Psych escape before being sent into the Games, causing havoc to run through the facility as he tried to look for his weapons, only to run into Lady Forenthiel, Kiko and their prisoner Lyka as an army of Watchers chased him. He managed to fight Kiko and get past Forenthiel and even helped Lyka escape, but at a price. He was poisoned. Now he has gone to the Lady Orb, who has just arrived home, for help to get the poison out. But not everyone had a dangerous night. Sir Akashi and Dez finally meet once more and have a reunion of their own.

He is one of the most confident men you could meet, and with an attitude that makes you love him or hate him, which he finds one the most amusing things for some reason... Sexuality: Heterosexual History: Although being born into the Elite can make some spoiled, An'an never became that way. Instead he worked hard at not even being referred to as that. Despite his apparent age of 65 he is still in increadible shape. Standing at roughly five foo six he is a very lithe and muscularely defined 'old man'. Framing his angular and still smooth features is shoulder blade length white hair. His calm expression coupled with his raptor-like grey eyes makes him an intimidating figure despite his diminutive and rather decieving size. Personality: Sairth is a calm man that has never been seen angry or upset. He always takes things in stride and is in general a very proud person. Despite his stony demeanor a smile is not difficult for this man to achieve as many who just meet him so believe. Personality: She is cocky, blunt, but someone who is reliable...given you know her long enough...

History: She used to be a mercenary/thief of sorts who easily took jobs from anyone who had the right amount of cash, or atleast sparked her interest until she received a call from none other than Lady Forenthiel herself. Before then she loved her lifestyle and the thrill from stealing under the Rich people noses. Her life was normal...as normal as a Standard's life could get..until now. It was a call that she had received from the Lady before, one dealing with becoming one of the Damned and being her spy. The pay was good..really good, but in the end she didn't feel the satisfaction she got with money. She had betrayed many friends for it and now the Lady was calling once again. She would have said no, but the voice sounded evil...truly evil even with the light ladylike voice the woman had. This newest job was one that have her betray the whole city...to destroy An'an Kaido.
Abilities: She has the ability to sense how many people are nearby. Very lucky for her job...
Side Effects: Good Effect: Her speed is increased and her ability to sense where others are is heightened drastically.
Bad Effect: Once the drug has worn off, she is severely weakened and dehydrated. On her good days, a splitting migrane takes the place of the dehydration.
Weapons: Her mechanical arm, her sword and two automatic handguns
Anything else: Her mechanical arm is more than just a weapon, but has many different tools built inside it that she uses mainly for the tricks of her 'trade'. Her arm, once clearly known which was which by others is now concealed with the newest techonolgy Kanda has created. She came up with the money from 'mysterious' deposit in her bank account. Infact, most of her has changed from before.

Personality: Upbeat and fun to be around. She is very protective and curious. You can usually get a laugh out of her when she's in a good mood, but like all human beings she has a down side. When and if they ever come out, she will still try to make the best of it and let no one else carry the burdens she is carrying.

History: She once was a highly loved athlete until things went bad. Hiding her shame she changed her name look and almost everything else about her she became a Standard. Living and working. That other life has become a thing of the past as she lives as her own women now, free of any harm.

Personality: Quiet and Anti-social. Their are few in the world whom Esgloroth has gotten close to. Those relationships ended horribly. It is his philosophy that those you get close to either betray you, or you lose them. Because of this he prefers to keep away from people. When he does let somebody in, he is more kind and caring than anyone.
History: Esgloroth grew up in a small Elven village with a master swordsman. His parents were killed whern he was young, for reasons uknown. He learned everything from his guardian, and set out to find a reason for his parent's mysterious death. His journey has brought him to Lornidel, where he can't seem to leave. He stays mostly to the outskirts of the city, away from the people. The Games have caught his attention, however, and he's decided whoever is in charge of these "Games" should be stopped. He has put his quest on hold to put an end to such a horendous thought.
Abilities: Super Nova- An explosive fire attack that emits from his body. He learned it from a dying mage on his way to Lorindel. It will kill nearly everything within 50 feet or so, and drains Esgloroth of all his energy. He has never used it, and hopes he never has to.

Weapon(s): A Sapphire long Sword, and an Elven bow with enchanted arrows that engulf their targets in flame.

History: Pysch used to be human, but he was captured by an Omeda studying genetic alteration for the perfect soldier. He was the only one of nine experiments that survived with a logical mind still intact. The Omeda's research eventually earned him a place in the Elite. Pysch meanwhile had endured more than enough.
He broke free from the laboratory in which he had been housed. He learned very quickly what advantages his new genes gave him and he used them to their utmost capability. He all but vanished from the eyes of those who knew of his existance. He took up his residence in the easiest place for him to hide, the sewers.
Abilities: He is deceptively fast for his size, and also very strong. He usually fights with his tail, claws, and teeth. Additionally, he has a venom that is secreted from his fangs when he bites. It is causes a temporary paralysis that can give him the upper hand in battle, though he usually uses it when he needs to escape. It won't cause total paralysis, just enough to noticibly slow reflexes.
Side Effects: Pysch is not a drug user.
Weapon(s): He has two short swords which he usually keeps strapped to his legs. He also has a hard shield which almost always stays on his left arm, and an axe which is strapped to his back when not in use.

Personality: Empty and Distant for the most part unless drawn back by a voice or movement then his insanity kicks in.

History: Noah was thought to have been killed when a malfunctioning Android exploded next to him, in a final desperate attempt to revive him his viens were pumped full of any drugs the doctors could get there hands on, there attempt had been deemed failed and Noah left to be burned with no one claiming the body, Several hours later a video Recorder captured what could only be desribed as a ghost walking down the hallway of the building towards the doors.
Abilities: Phasing, Light reactive invisibilty (the darker it is the harder he becomes to see), the general Abilities of a ghost
Side Effects: Voices Constantly Scream in his head driving him to a almost insane uncontrollable life style

Character Name: Kiko Yamma
Race: Avariel (Elf, with wings)

Appearance: Kiko stands at a height of 5' 6, long Jet black hair usually pulled back in to a loose pony tail that ends in the mid of her back. She has light green eyes with a flawless round face. She wears a tube top with X straps and chains wrapping around her mid stomach (Black), With camo pants (black) and a belt that hangs around her waist. Her wings are grey ish color, sometimes taking to be more black than white. They extend to about 14 feet.
Personality: SHe is very cold hearted and only looks up to a very few amount of people. The only person known to get her full respect was lady Forenthiel. She has never been seen smiling or laughing, many people find her hard to get along with and will make note to stay away. She has a quick temper at times, but usually keeps it contained.
Sexuality: Bisexual
History: Kiko doesn't know much about her own past, like what had happened to her parents, all she knows is before Forenthiel had come she was living on the streets. Being booted aside, and there for she began to steal food and live on her own. But things changed when Forenthiel came, by that time she had toughed out. In some sense Forenthiel saved her, and she will always will look at it that way. So she took the position of watcher, ready to do anything for the lady that saved her from total melt down.
Abilities: Stealth, Hand to hand combat, speed, Manipulation of water (only when it is near)
Side Effects: Good: Strategy is increased and the power of her water attacks is almost increased ten fold. Bad: When the side effect wares off, she becomes sluggish and the power to manipulate water dies, her anger is harder for her to control.

Personality: Nira has a subtle evil aura about her reguardless of the grace of her movements or even the pleasant voice that settles smoothly within another. She is smart and makes sure everyone knows this which makes most believe she is also arrogant, and she doesn't bother with correcting them...all too much like a certain Lady...
Sexuality: Usually men....usually....
History: Nira was one of the experiments An'an didn't have any clue about for Lady Forenthiel didn't trust anyone, not even Kiko to learn more about her for when Nira was created in she knew it was a horrible deed. She was one of the many experiments in creating the perfect Watcher, one that would obey without question and if there ever was a chance that it would betray her, a failsafe within their very blood would destroy them in a very horrible and long fashion. None of the others ever truly lived up to Forenthiel's expectations until Nira was created..out of the Lady's own DNA. It was a painful birth and even more painful transformation when her dragon DNA truly showed forth and gave her claws, a tail and her dragon skin, but by some miracle she survived.

Personality: She a bit of a ditz, use moods vary but always amuse other sjust for the fact that she can be so cute even when angry. There is a side to her that not many people have seen, a side that keeps people from pushing her too far. When she becomes dead serious and her very being screams killer. You seriously don't want to be around when that happens.
Sexuality: Bisexual
History: All that is known about her is that she is usually Kanda's number one assisstant, a spokesperson when he doesn't want to talk, a secretary when he doesn't want to work and even a bodyguard whenever he doesn't feel like protecting himself..and from the way she talks about him, that may be often.
Abilities: She has the ability to control and manipulate metal, usually light metals that can be easily molded into weapons. Other heavier objects require alot of energy.

Personality: He is a calm being, one that thinks about the situation before acting in anything, even it is has nothing to do with business. He is rarely surprised for this fact and often draws others to him for although most think of him as a machine, the intellect seen within his eyes and actions shows so much more...
Sexuality: He hasn't had any attraction to anyone just yet.
History: Being part of Kanda's Crew usually means there is a mystery in that person's origins and Riken is no exception. All that is known is that he is head of the financial part of the enterprise, dealing with orders of technology and making sure nothing is leaked into the black market or anyplace else for that matter. Lately he has been seen in the Damned and Standard sectors following orders straight from Kanda himself.
Abilities: Some people believe he has the power of Emapthy and even 'persuasion' for he can easily guess how someone is feeling and get them to do as he suggested, but if that were true is he truly a machine?

The sound of bones breaking filled the air and was quickly followed by a man's agonized screams as he was thrown against the wall, his heavy form slumping to the ground.
"P-please...." the man began, his bloodshot eyes looking wildly about as the sound of footsteps entered the area, "You can't do this."
Light laughter filled the air as a woman walked into the light, her red eyes watching the man as if he were prey, "Oh really? I built this city into what it is today, so it is safe to say that I can." she grinned, her fangs gleaming in the light as she moved closer, her small and delicate looking form gracefully kneeling infront of the wounded man, a vial of red liquid held light between her fingertips.
"Drink it."
The man shook his head, a small whimper in his voice as he did so, "No..no that...it's poison!"
"All the better reason for you to take it," was her reply, "For it is a mercy compared to what I will do to you if you don't." There was silence as the man drink the liquid down, his eyes slowly turning as red as the lady infront of him, "There's a good boy. Now do you want more?" the man nodded slowly, "Then you know where the rest is. With the right amount of money, you can have all the Fatal Vein that you want."
The laughter began again as the woman stood up and walked away.

"She did it again." Two dark brown eyes narrowed as An'an looked at the report infront of him. It contained the latest news of the members in hsi law enforement who were under the influence of Forenthiel's Fatal Vein.
"It's not surprising that she would want to corrupt them once again, but why only bring down former Watchers?" he murmured as he leaned back against his chair, "Most of them have been trained to resist the effects of that drug. She taught them herself." He sighed, combing his hair with his hand before tossing the report to the side.
"Revenge most likely," a voice said as a man walked into the room. He was An'an's android assistant, a 'gift' from the new power in Lorindel, "What better way to destroy an enemy than to destroy their more powerful defenses?"
"Yes, but it is too rash for her.." An'an replied, glancing at him for a moment, "She knows very well that there are still cracks within the police from before my reign and she could easily make them worse if she wished. There must be something worse going onin her head."
The man was silent for a moment, as if actually thinking of what to say next, "Then...maybe she has changed?"
An'an grinned broadly before breaking into laughter, "A woman like that doesn't change so drastically and not without a good reason. I know her...she an old fashioned monster."

A young man walked the streets, watching the people dwelling in theri agony and pain of thier lives. A devilish grin curved on his lips as a laugh escaped him.
"It is truly a marvalous sight to behold." Adjusting his top hat a bit, the sound of his cane followed his footsteps with a light thump. Everyone's eyes were on him, wondering what a high class person as himself was doing on the streets. Soon his eyes fell upon An'an, staring at him for a moment as he studied his features as well as the other person next to him. Thoughts ran through his mind on how to approach someone like him as he stood there.

A group of young people streaked past, laughing, one, though, the one in the lead had looked back at one of her friends and tripped. She stumbled forward and crashed right into Akashi's back. To keep from bounching off and falling she wrapped her arms around his waist and spun with him to absorb the impact. Her eyes clutched closed she opened one slowly and looked around, seeing she was still standing but now wrapped around someone.

An'an turned slightly as the smell of a familiar vampire filled the air. He smirked before his eyes fell upon the man before him, "Sir Akashi..well isn't this a surprise." his voice stayed nuetral, keeping things polite as he walked towards him, "It's been a long time since we last met. It was in Orb onte's concert that we last saw each other wasn't it?"
The man beside him, watched Akashi curiously as he looked through his memory banks, spotting the others name and affilation before he bowed slightly, "A pleasure Sir-" Both men watched as the girl clutched onto Akashi's waist in surprise, but stayed silent.

Lyka slowly clicked off her earpiece, her golden eyes lowered as she stood in her apartment, the voices of the news spitting out either horrble truths or horrible lies floating around her from the video screen in the next room.
The rise of corruption is continually on the rise since the introduction to the rightly named 'Fatal Vein' has entered the city. The police are still looking for the source of the drug ring, but still have no lead....
"What a load of crap." she murmured as she sent a bullet into the screen. It passed right through, only marring the image for only a few seconds before it returned to normal. Lyka lowered her gun and slid into a corner, her arms wrapped around her legs tightly, "If it was a older model that damn thing would have been history..." she grumbled, looking away from the tv to the other broken tv sets that lay throughout the room. Glass was everywhere, along with bits of credit cards that had either expired or were victims to her rage.
The only things left untouched were the six red vials that were held safely within their containers. Lyka stared at them longingly for a long momet before looking away, her breathing getting heavier, "Remember...you need those for your mission...after this maybe Lady Luck will give me more money." she closed her eyes before placing her hands upon her head, "And make me forget about what I've done..."
