@ Anardana - that's a cute kitty... <333
And that was pretty funny. XD I like the last two slides too. My parents want me to learn about evolution and stuff and we're religious too. Personally, I think it's interesting so that's why I'm taking AP biology next year! <3

I was thinking about this earlier ... can we even call abstinence-only "education"?
Tacking that word on the end never seemed quite right to me.

Ditto'd. It's quite the opposite of education. How is not learning even the most basic stuff education?

Suteko I was thinking about this earlier ... can we even call abstinence-only "education"?
Tacking that word on the end never seemed quite right to me. Of course it's not education. What do they teach? Oh yeah, don't have sex or else you'll ruin your relationship and get STD's. I'm sure if someone is uncomfortable or they don't feel ready, they won't have sex unless it's rape or peer pressure or something. The real education could come into play like, emotional problems some people might have with having sex when they're not ready, or if they were pressured into it, pregnancy/sex information, contraception, etc. I feel more ready with information on sex, pregnancy, and contraception rather than abstinence only stuff. =/ I dunno about you, but it's kind of common sense. Not comfortable doing something? You're probably not gonna do it.

Not comfortable doing something? You're probably not gonna do it. I know, I personally don't consider it education at all and I don't like the word "education" being put on the end simply because it is being taught in schools. I'm just arguing words here. ^^;;
I think abstinence-only "ideology" works better, because that's all it is. I think I'll call it that from now on. xD

It shouldn't be called education, it should be called, "Make you curious as hell about it so you experiment yourself without proper precautions and then likely hurt yourselves doing it and not be able to tell anyone because they'll condemn and ridicule you class."
