Ok, I did not see anything about this here and when I searched so I am going to start this now.

Imperial forge worlds and their specialisation. One thing I need cleared up, Imperial Forge World Ryza, They specialise in plasma technology and are the only ones that retain full knowledge on how to manipulate that technology right?

If memory serves, Ryza doesn't even exist anymore. Demolished in the wake of one of the Hivefleets, Leviathan or Kraken. But they were the lead on plasma tech, I believe most of their research(what could be saved on the short notice and while the Skiitari legions and the Adeptus Titanicus fought off the Tyranid) was moved off to other Forge Worlds and Knight Worlds of the Adeptus Mechanicus. The biggest Forge World is and always be Mars, and is where the most advanced technologies are kept safe and secret.

A figment of imagination

The best of imperial pasma weaponry maybe, they don't have anything as sophisticated as a star cannon yet

Ryza still exists. Gryphonne IV was attacked by Nids but survived due to the creation of specialist Guard regiments that were glanded and enhanced to survive the harsh surface there. Sgt. Stone of the Inquisitor game is one such Guardsman.

Anyway, as for a list of some of the Forge Worlds and their supporting titan legions, Imperial Armour volume one: "the Imperial Guard and Imperial Navy" has a list of them at the beginning of the prologue.

Aren't there only 3 veterans of the Gryphonne IV invasion that are still alive today?

Indeed there are and sgt. Stone is one of them. The other two are unknown entities, though if GW fluff is to be believed, one of them is a butt ugly female with even more scars and glands then Stone.

Is it not Dantis 3 that he's a veteran of, or is it more than one?

Yeah, it's Dantis. I have the book open right here. That leads me to wonder just who exactly are the three survivors of Gryphonne IV?

I motion this thread be renamed "Planets of the Imperium" to reflect a larger topic base and allow more conversation. If seconded, I will put this into action.
