 All this time... Ever since that special night with Jani, Sukari's belly had been growing bigger and bigger, and the illness with it did too. Today, however, she felt particularly nautious- and... for once, the lioness was in such great pain that she couldn't really move or anything. Shockwaves rippled across her, all originating from where the cubs currently dwelt.
She couldn't take it anymore. She dropped onto the ground as carefully as she could and moaned. This was the worst pain she'd dealt with in her life! Worse, even, than when that rogue lionness carved the scar out that was underneath her eye.
"Jani..." she whined as loud as she could. "Jani" She called again, the pain too great. She didn't know what exactly was going on, but whatever it was, it needed to end. She was in too weak of a position to be at all comfortable

The dark green cheetah had been snoozing when Sukari's voice came to his small, tufted ears, and one green eye opened reluctantly. That was until he heard ehr cry painfully. The tree he had perched himself in was quickly behind him as he raced, acctually raced, accross the ground to find his chocolate mate.
He paused though before approaching his larger mate and admired her. He could hardly ever stand a distance away from her and not gaze upon her longingly, those ice green eyes, gentle, always loving of the larger femme. Of course, he had noticed ehr girth become larger over recent weeks and he quite frankly, hadn't been able to stay away from her. he loved the weight she was carrying, he thought it suited her, she looked so healthy, so radientto him. Shaking his head he pulle dhimself out of his daze and raced for his mate, a low puurr rolling from his chest. "It's okay, I'm here Sukari." He whispers nuzzling her cheek and looking down her side at her belly. The fur on his nec stood on end and he gave an involuntary shiver. Was he supposed to be here for this?
Gulpping down a breath he licked hislarge mates ears gently. "I'm here Sukari, just relax." easy for him to say, or not so, his legs felt like jelly, he had a feeling his mate was about to become alot thinner and he was on the brink of becoming a father.

"Jani..." She said again, comforted by his presence. In the back of her head, she locked away a reminder to comment on the speed with which he had raced to her- she was proud of him.
"It's starting, Jani," She said weakly. Her voice was barely audible through the pain. "They're coming." she said finally, before the first came.
The pain grew stronger and stronger as she pushed the first cub out. This was worse than what she was feeling a moment ago! Still, she pushed through it without making another sound, determined not to show weakness anymore through this experience.
Out came the first cub- a little copy of his father- or at least mostly. He carried Sukari's black marks, but otherwise was like his father.
There was a pause, and then another shock of pain. She gritted her teeth as the next came out- This was quite a painful one!
She didn't have the time to check out the latest cub, because the next was well on its way. This one came out without too much effort.
Sukari gasped for air, exhausted already. "It's not over yet," she said, passing on the message her body was sending her to Jani. She had time to clean up the two latest additions before she felt the pangs again. Silently, she pushed through the last of the ordeal to show the youngest cub.
"That's the last of them," She told him tiredly in between her panting. She had grown very hot in the process, and exhaustedly licked up the last cub. Once he was clean, she plopped back on the ground and caught her breath. The cubs could wait for a moment. "Congratulations, Jani," She whispered finally, staying on the ground.

The little green cub squirmed to make his way to his mother- although he didn't realize that was what the warm thing was. He bumped into another warm thing, but it didn't smell exactly the same as what he was after. Little did he know that the obstacle course ahead was made up of his siblings. Still, he pushed his way forward to find what he wanted- food. He started suckling immediately, allowing instinct to take over him completely.

The small silver cub looked quite out of place nestled amidst his earthy toned brothers and his brown mother. Like the green cub before him, he wriggled and wrestled his way forward...which was unfortunately the wrong way. A mewl from his sibling though made him roll over and crawl the other way, his muzzle finally finding warmth and a different smell that said 'mum'.

The dark green male watched agast at what was happening before his eyes, one minuite, no cubs, the next, four. The time it took for those cubs to appear, it was a life time to him, watching each one emerge, each tiny, male at a time. He finally let his mouth close when sukari's head hit the floor and he pulled himself out of his baffled daze. Licking his lips, his tongue felt like it had never had a drink of water, a slow smile creapt over his lips though and he bent down to groom his mates warm, damp cheeks before curling beside the cubs and slowly grooming each one, admireing their colours, spotting their differences, and similarities, picking out the colours that matched his and sukaris. They were tiny versions of each of them. little peices put in to a whole. They were beautiful.
He lookedback at his large, lioness mate and smiled roguishly. "You did wonderfuly my love!" he puurrs making sure that each cub was comfortable against her belly. "so beautiful."

Warmth seemed to have been robbed from the little brown cub as the cold, hard ground came in contact with his wet body. Upon contact, the mewing began, the complaint of his loss for all to hear. He was cold, wet and hungry unlike not too long ago where he was content. Squirming and wiggling and mewing, all in the process of finding warmth and food. It didn't take the little cub too long to squirm his way into his mother. The sudden contact of warmth sent him back, but not without a loud mew. The tiny cub nosed his way until he started to suckle, but that didn't quiet him any. Still suckling and mewing, though considerably quieter than before, he was still protesting at this sudden change.

the golden striped male found the world he dropped in to to be rather cold, his body searching for that comforting warmth once again. It was cold and wet and the blurry vision which he posessed could find nothing but this frozen world.
In a moment though and a flurry he was pressed tightly in to his mothers downy belly, his nose finding the feeding spot where he would stay until he was weaned. A gentlypuurr rolled from his body as warm sustinance filled his every pore, and was little disturbed by the arrival of his other two brothers. Perhaps this thing thathad happened wouldn't be so bad after all. He meweld quietly curling close to his brothers and mother as his full belly allowed him to sleep in comfort.

"So did you, Jani," She said, finally mustering the strength to keep herself propped up on her elbow. "They wouldn't exist if it weren't for you."
She practically jumped when the first cub began to suckle. The feeling was so... unexpected! Although, she guessed it was nature's way, and tried not to scare them.
What have you gotten yourself into, Sukari? The little angry lioness voice asked in her head. You've never even TALKED to a cub, how are you supposed to raise four of them?!? She shook her head and whispered to herself, "I'll find a way." She curled around the four little things to keep them warm- they were all so different! She nuzzled each, and then decided to tackle the next issue.
"What do you propose we call each of these?" She asked Jani.

He had to think of names too? The words that his larger mate spoke pulled him back from the brink of his daze. He had cubs? He and Sukari had cubs? It made him almost frightened to think how he would do as a father? Licking his dark green lips he shook his head to get rid of the worried thoughts from his mind and looked at each tiny cub in turn. Names? "I'm really not very good at names." He chuckled lifting a deformed claw to stroke down each little cubs back. He had decided when Sukari first told him about the cubs that he wouldn't allow his cubs to befome disabled n the ground. There was so much more world ont he ground.
"I can't beleive they came from us." He grinend sheepishly, his icey green eyes falling upon his tired mate lovingly, she had done so well, he supposed a litter of this size was large for a females first litter. Certainly he had heard of females bareing even more their first time around but four, well, he guessed they would have their hands full.
Lowering his head he gave each tiny cub a gentle nudge, trying to fathom out if he had boys or girls, he looked up and tilted his head at his chocolate brown mate. "I'm not very good at this Sukari, do we have boys, or girls?" His pale eyes looked overly embarressed at this, he really wasn't sure what they had braught in to this world, only that they were theirs.

"They're all male," she said, so certain of herself. She could tell from their smell... Though she didn't consciously know what "male" smelled like.
"Very well then... I'll name them all," She said without irritation. She was actually hoping she'd get to name them all.
"I like the name Mbura for the black and gold boy. The brown one should be Takeshi," She said matter-of-factly. If her mate thought of a better name, she was sure he'd pipe in. "Fenris for the green one," She said, naming him after someone in her past. "And... Kivuli'angaza for the black and white one," she finished. "How's that sound?" She awaited her mate's reply.
