There have been several explosions across London this morning. At least 6 explosions have been reported & evidence of explosives have been found at one of the sites. Why did the chicken cross the road? - To avoid the exploding bus

The attacks seem to be based around major transport links:
And Tavistock Square (Possibly he was running late & couldn't get his bomb to the correct location due to the tube being shut) There are 2 confirmed casualties so far, but more are coming in. Estimates are at 20 as I type this. And my ears are ringing.

I went to the vet earlier to get my hamster put down. Its been an interesting day.

I hears the 20 figure too, but still only 2 confirmed dead. The Beeb London's police chief Sir Ian Blair said there had been "many casualties" but it was too early to put a figure to those killed or injured. Looking a the blast marks on the map I nearly got blown up on several occasions today eek

I love this though, not the explosions and people getting hurt, but the whole calmness of people who were there.
I can imagine people thinking "Damn, I'll be late for work, oh well." as opposed to "arh arh my leg!"
If this had been anywhere n America there'd be millions of people screaming and running around and threatening to invade some small country.

Yeah it's amazing how us in the UK can handle such a horrific event so calmly xp I mean they're walking and not running >.> I dunno if I kcwould be able to handle the situation that calm though. I could be in tears =/ Luckily I wasn't there at the time though....

True, all I did was mutter unpleasant things about the size of the bus queue & walk to work. Kit-kun If this had been anywhere n America there'd be millions of people screaming and running around and threatening to invade some small country. It didn't, yet there are millions of them runing around screaming, shooting each other & invading small countries.

I just feel weird because it was only yesterday I was at Liverpool Street and now... I walked down that street near Russell Square all the time when I'm at Uni. I just feel really sick...

It makes people feel good to think that they care and pretend they can help by making a big deal out of it.

Knowing the British and London, it'd be business as usual which is good.
I'm just paranoid for my family and friends in London now. Some of my friends were in the area today and for me, waiting for their calls and txts was really worrying. My aunt and uncle by some fortunate chance took a different travel route into central London today. Usually they would have been at King Cross at that time...

I keep having to turn the news off, because I'm not taking anything in. It's a dreadful, shocking thing to happen and I can only offer my deepest sympathy to those injured and to the families of those killed.
I find myself marvelling at the calmness of Londoners in general. They're coping with this in an almost stereotypically British way, but we are seeing the best of many people in their actions and attitudes. Tony Blair has made the best possible decision in coming down briefly from the G8 summit and then going back. I, for one, would be rather disappointed had he chosen to abandon it altogether.
I don't think I've ever been so proud to be a Brit, as sick as that sounds. Also, this post made no sense to me, but I can't figure out how to put it into words properly. I'm not good with feelings. neutral
