im upset. next year all of my "experianced" drumline will be leaving percussion. not because they are to old but because they are to buisy for it. Me and my friend get stuck with the new guyies (who won't know a thing about staying together [i've heard them play]) we will be the ones to "lead the drum line, (yah so far so good) but guess what we only play mallet music well. snare and quad are not me and my friend's good point. any suggestions other that and i quote one of my friends "you better get good at it soon." (sorry to much of subject things)

Umm well, you need to pretty much do your best to become and all-around percussionist. You know, do everything. Other than that, to keep them together you don't necessarily have to play their instrument. You just have to understand how percussion instruments generally work together. Do you have an instructor?
