 Come on, they look totally similar!! I think it's sign that something might happen to Katara... eek Also, my friend Lady Adelaide pointed this out to me: So similar, right? Don't you agree?

Nnnnnnnot really on the first one confused . The shape of the eyes and eye color are different and I think Katara's hair is darker (in pics where it is daylight).
The second pair of pics makes me wonder if they used the second as a reference.

Hahahaha, I was right! It definitely symbolizes something. If not, they were just using it to strengthen the concept of the bond between Aang and Katara, or something else. Like, since the statue is of Jesus and Mary, maybe something like Jesus was a spiritual leader, and made a huge sacrifice, which is kind of like Aang.

Wow, that sculpture (forgot what it's called) looks so much like that!
But Katara and the Water-bending Avatar's wife don't look much alike. That's just how the Avatar creators draw. Her eyes are smaller, brown, and her lips are more prominent.

i kind of don't see the resemblence in Katara and the other woman, but holy s**t! The picture of Katara holding Aing clearly connects to the sculpture of Mary holding Jesus! That is just creepy.

I really don't see a resemblance between that lady in the first picture and Katara. =/ However, I'm pretty sure that the pose for Katara and Aang was suppose to look like the Jesus and Mary pose. They look too similar to be a coincidence...
