He was finally allowed to go out on his own. Finally! Sometimes his father was too overprotective sometimes. Honestly. The alicorn gave a snort and pawed at the ground as he looked out meadow that bordered the forest where he lived. Indu still hovered at the edge of the trees, just watching the outside world like he had so many times before. But now, he had permission to actually go out and here he was, standing there like a coward. He was all grown up and certainly wasn't going to just stand there until he had to go back home. Shaking his wings out, he took a breath and stepped forward....And promptly into a rabbit burrow. Giving a yelp, he went down with a flutter of wings and a groan as he hit the ground. "Maybe this wasn't a good idea." He muttered to himself as he lay there sulking, tail giving an irritated thump against the ground.

Tika was more than used to exploring the lands, she had spent most of her life exploring as far as she could. Today was no different as she cantered through the forest, into the meadow, stretching out her wings as soon as she reached the open space. She lifted her head as far as it would go, enjoying the warm air, as winter turned into spring. With her head held high, she pranced through the meadow, flapping her wings every now and then, and flying a few feet off the ground. She was quite distracted, as she didn't notice the alicorn not far off, until she to stumbled in a rabbit hole and had to come to her senses. "Good morning." She said, as she picked herself up and stared at the stallion.

He blinked as another fell victim to the dreaded rabbit burrow. Picking himself up, he snorted and watched as the mare also regained her feet. "Good morning." He said back, ears flicking forward in curiousity. "You alright?" He questioned, making his way towards the other, picking his way among patches of grass. Indu had encountered very few mares in his life, three to be exact. One was a foal and not all that nice. The other two had been very kind. But then again, to make things even this mare could be not all that nice... Snorting, the brightly colored stallion stepped closer, stopping a few strides away to watch her.

"I'll be fine, a little rabbit hole isn't going to stop me." She said, having twisted her leg a bit coming up, but it wasn't badly damaged. She gingerly put weight on it, and winced. "Nothing broken." She said simply, as she watched him.

"Maybe you should have that looked at." He said worriedly, ears flicking back briefly before going forward again. "Or maybe soak it in the lake?" He half asked, half said....."What's your name?" Came the sudden question, his head tilting slightly. In many ways, he was still a foal, not having much worldly experience yet.

"It is just a sprain, at most." She said, testing her leg again, this time not wincing as she put weight on it. "I am Tika, and who are you?" She asked, as she stared at him.

"Still..." He trailed off before shrugging. "My name is Indu. Nice to meet you Tika." The stallion said with a small smile, tail swishing behind him. Studying her, he gave a soft sigh, almost starting to frown the more he noticed about her. It was nothing bad, more of a realization to himself really.

"Nice to meet you as well." She said, as she watched him, flapping her wings in the short passing breezes, but never rising more than a foot of the ground. "Is something wrong?" She asked, hearing him sigh.

Indu watched as the mare, Tika kept fluttering off the ground, seemingly fascinated with the action. He wasn't that good at flying yet, even though he was full grown. But there just wasn't all that much room in the forest to fly for someone of his size after all. Maybe now he could get more practice now that he could go by himself into the meadow. "Wrong?...It's nothing really. I was just realizing how different I am. I mean, I've met another mare like you, with wings. But I haven't met anyone else that has a tail like me, and wings and a horn." He admitted in embaressment, glancing sideways and almost blushing slightly at admitting this. To a stranger no less.

"It is an odd combonation, but I am sure there is someone else out there like you. It is a big wide world after all." She said as she stretched out her wings as far as they could go, before settling them down along her back.

"Maybe. I just haven't been able to find out." He replied, shrugging his shoulders and watching with fascination as the mare stretched rather stunning wings. Really, she was stunning overall. He gave a slightly embaressed smirk at that, tossing his head in an attempt to toss one of his braids out of his eyes, which fell right back into place. "Have you travelled much?" Came the next question, his head tilting as he asked, eyes curious.

"I have travelled a bit, I have gone from the mountains to the beach, as well as a few flights over the plains and forest. I haven't gone over the mountains or explored them much, I have heard there is a desert beyond them." She said, as she stared at him, looking over him in silence. She could tell he didn't fly much, she could see his muscles were not as toned as her's.

Listening, a confused look came over Indu's face as she described some of the places she'd been to. He was almost afraid to ask, but did so anyway at the risk of looking ignorant. "Mountains? There are mountains here? What do they look like?" Came the shy question, ears swiveling as he glanced around, unable to recognize such things. He knew what they were, if only from being told, but he didn't know really what they looked like. Afterall, the bright stallion had been living in the forest for all his life. Pawing the ground, he studied her in return, tail swishing through the tall grass softly. This mare was interesting. Maybe she could tell him about the outside world before he ventured out on his own for real, instead of just being able to go a little ways out of the forest.

Tika had to think about it for a few moments, she had never had to describe mountains to someone before. "They are very tall, rocky in some parts, some grass grows here and there, one of the smaller mountains has a forest growing up its side. They are capped with snow in the winter, but almost all of it has melted now. I suppose they are hard to climb up, but it is easy to fly up them." She said, sounding very thoughtful as she said it, trying to recall what she remembered of them. "I don't know a lot about them though. I prefer the beach." She said with a grin.
