... It's disappointing that I see no Pink Floyd threads.
Some of you may recognize me from the Pink Floyd threads in the Entertainment Forum.. As you can tell, I am a huge fan.
I guess I should start by saying my favorite album is Animals, and that their movie The Wall is another one of my passions.

The Wall is an awesome album. I've only heard "Dogs" off of Animals, and it is incredibly long. All the more awesome, though.

Haven't seen the movie, I'll add it to my netflix.

And I think I have "Comfortably Numb" permanently stuck in my head. For the rest of my life.

I own The Wall, DSotM, Momentary Lapse of Reason, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and Piper at the Gates of Dawn. My favorite song of theirs is Sheep. 3nodding

Pink Floyd is one of those bands that you just want to own all of their albums. Like the Doors. I want all of their albums.

If I ever win thye lottery, one of the first things i would do is buy all of everyones albums..and put them all in a CD player that holds a crapload of CDs.
Then i would put it on random.
I own like 42 CDs that my father gave me... all live concerts, plus a good number of their albums.

I have had The Wall for a while, but just got Wish You Were Here yesterday. biggrin Both are good albums, but concept-wise,The Wall is much better.

Its quite a good movie... i really admire the way Roger Water's mind works.. hes a genious. The animations are amazing, and the symbolism is enough to make me cry everytime i watch it

Since my family is low on money, I can't go out and buy the albums. But I do download tons of songs. blaugh Because of BearShare, Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands.

Yeah man, its obscure.
Alot of wierd things synch up, but I only remember a few, like the Great Gig in the Sky starts when the tornado starts and the house gets lifted off the ground... and Money starts right when she walks into the world of colour...and at the end of the album when the heart is beating, its when they're knocking on the Tin Man's chest.
Its really fun. I suggest it.

You remember a lot more about it than I do. I did that several years ago. I need to buy a copy of The Wizard of Oz and watch it again.

Yeah, I could, but I enjoy the feeling of owning something rather than downloading it. I hardly download music ever.

I wonder who ever thought of putting them together in the first place, my theory is some guy was really stoned and couldnt figure out if he wanted to trip out to pink floyd, or to the wizard of oz blaugh
