In my honest opinion, the Aerti relationship has many, many different dimensions. They're very compatible, even with Cloud stuck in the middle.
As best friends jealousy doesn't seem to get in the way. They aren't at each others throats, and they are very content with each other. It's a winner takes it all relationship. However, no matter who would win Cloud's heart, they would still be the best of friends.
As sisters they are side by side, defending each other at all costs just as they would be as best friends. Though jealousy can get in the way here, those rifts are easily mended. After all...a little sibling rivalry is normal, right?
As a couple they are inseparable. There is no jealousy between them, and their trust and devotion in each other is absolutely breathtaking. As a couple they have the strength to overcome obstacles they may not have been able to do so alone. Tifa's determination and strength, and Aerith's outgoing and upfront personality.
As a couple they are perfect for each other, and I may be a bit biased when I say this, but I think that's the best way for them to be. Together as lovers. 3nodding

I think they are best as lovers, it's adorable! And I cannot do a better job than Secrets has already done so I won't try to explain it.

To be truly, truly honest, I love them in so many ways, man....
As a couple, it's just, damn... This couple leaves me damn near wordless I just need a soda right now to think.
You can see the love and devotion they have towards Cloud in the video game. Now, if they were to turn a leaf, and become lovers to themselves, then you can see how it would all fall into place. Neither would ever do anything to hurt the other, and always be loving and loyal no matter what. There may be secrets left hidden, but they will be kept in the dark only because one doesn't want to hurt their significant other.
The strong yet soft hearted girl with the kind and gentle girl. I just, dang...
I am seriously wordless. That is why this is my first post, man. When I think of this couple, the lines keeps coming at me....
"Aeris, what are you..."
"Keheheh, what do you think?"
"Well, what about you, and Cloud?"
"Silly, it was never about Cloud..."
God, just leaves you with a sense of love and wonder, man...

I've always found Tifa as a shy flustered person who would blush furiously if she talked to the person she had a crush. Aerith seems more collected and calm. She's take her love easier.
