-Giraffes have purple tongues.

I didn't know horses could sleep with their eyes open. That's neat and I'm jealous. I've always wanted to freak people out like that.

Yay! More neat facts!
I need to remember more. =P
Oh! Some flying animal facts:
-Monarch butterfly caterpillars are the only animals that can feed on milkweed, a poisonous plant. In fact, it's how they become poisonous! They absorb the poison in their body!
-Bald eagles are actually very mean! They steal food from other birds of prey!
-Vultures urinate on their legs to kill the bacteria they get when trampling on dead carcasses. If another animal tries to steal a vulture's dinner, the vulture will vomit on the animal! They're the most disgusting creature I've ever heard of! =P

Orcas and dolphins are in the same family, yes.
A pregnant female bat can eat her body weight in insects every night!
Less than 0.5% of bats have rabies. It's just not as common as people think.
