The day was bright and warm which was absolutely perfect for the mare looking for a proper dwelling for herself and her mate. After all, when it was outcast - while the shadows over the ground made a gorgeous scene - it was hard to see exactly how the sun hit in certain places and she was most definitely looking for the perfect place to put down roots for her little family.
Hienna was trekking up one of the hills, hoping to find a decent clearing near some source of water and a cave. However, it was proving a bit harder than she had previously thought. The unicorn was hoping that Zaphiro had better luck than she.

 Ah, a fine day indeed. The bright shining sun warmed his rainbow colored coat and made his golden horm glitter and shine. Viscoso loved days like this where he could go out and for a good run through the fields. It was one of the things he greatly enjoyed doing.
Krysta, his beloved mate, was back at her teepee with her two-legger for the time being. Oh how he wished she could run with him right now. But they were deciding on how they were to create a smaller teepe just for them, just as she had suggested. Now that he thought about it, it would be hard to accomplish.
Something snapped his mind back to reality and away from all of the plans that were supposed to happen with him and his mate. It wasn't a something it was a someone. A mare to be exact. He had to admit she was a pretty sight but no one could ever change his feelings for his beloved. She seemed to be looking for something, but what? "Excuse me", he said, walking up behind her but making sure to keep his distance so she wasn't startled. "Did you need help with anything?"

Unfortunately for Viscoso, Hienna was startled easily and jumped at the sudden voice. She hadn't been expecting anyone else where she was. The mare turned to look at him and she smiled a little bit.
"Not help, no. Simply...searching." Her golden eyes honed in on the stallion and blinked. He...was a unicorn too. Like her.
That in itself startled her. She had never MET another unicorn in her entire life. Her mother was a normal mare and her father, the unicorn in the coupling, had left before she was born.
Hienna couldn't help but stare for a moment and take a few steps forward before she realized she WAS staring and blushed furiously, looking toward the ground.
How rude of her! Maybe he didn't notice...And thankfully she was dark enough for her blush not to show.
"Thank you for the concern though."
Hie's voice was soft and slow - and truthfully, she didn't sound all that intelligent by the sloth of her speech. Many took her as slow.

Viscoso took a step back to give her space when he saw that he startled her a bit. "My apologies. I probably should have made my prescense known before speaking." He looked at her for a minute and she seemed to be starring at him a bit. He tilted his head curiously. "Something about me fascinate you?", he chuckled a bit. Starring never bothered him before. In fact he tended to do it sometimes himself. "If you don't mind me asking, what are you searching for?" Not long after he said that, he mentally kicked himself. "My apologies again, my name is Viscoso."

"Hienna, a pleasure to meet you..." She lifted her eyes to look at his horn again, "You're a unicorn. It's...I've never..." She blinked. "I've never seen another of my kind before. It's wonderful, actually. Are all of our kind so colorful?"
A smile broke out. Wait until Zaphiro heard THIS! Oh. Wait. He asked a question.
"Oh...A place to call home with my mate." Let them know she had a mate from the get-go. No more Guilian mistakes.

"A pleasure indeed", he bowed his head politely. He chuckled at her question though. "No I don't think all unicorns are as colorful as me. My father and sister are pretty normal colored so I guess I'm just special. Although you have magnificent colorings as well."
"A home you say? My mate and I are sorta in the same kind of situation. She suggested we have a small teepee next to her two legger's but I don't know how that's going to work", he shrugged a bit. "I wish you luck with your search though", he nodded with a smile.

"Thank you. And yes, a home, though I'm a bit more picky and would hate the confines of a teepee...I...I don't much like company most of the time and I would prefer to be as far away from twoleggers as possible."
She had known her share, of course, but she did prefer her own kind. They were amusing to watch, not so amusing to talk to when they rarely understood what you were trying to convey.
"I'm searching for a place with a cave, a clearing, and some kind of water source myself."

"I agree, some teepees can be pretty cramped but others can be pretty roomy too. As for the two leggers I'm not fond of them either. In fact I'd rather steer clear of them but my beloved is rather close with hers so I have no choice. I was, I hate to admit it, frightened of her at first but Krysta showed me she was nice."
A cave? He'd never thought of living in cave before. It would provide good shelter from the weather but a hard rocky ground didn't sound too pleasant. "You two actually want to sleep on hard rock? It doesn't sound very comfortable."

Hienna couldn't help but laugh, "Oh, no. We'd bring in things and make a nice comfortable bedding. Actually, we'd be more likely to stay outside but the cave would be for protection from elements when the rainy seasons begin. We plan on having foals and...Well, we may be able to handle the rain but little ones won't be able to."
The unicorn tilted her head a little bit, "Besides, a cave could be mighty cozy if you had the nice homey touches to it."

"Makes sense to me. I'll have to bring that suggestion up to my mate at some point and see how she feels about it", he nodded a bit. He and Krysta had planned on having children in the future and who knows if the teepee would be able to all of them.
"And a cave would also be cozy when you have the one you love to snuggle with, right?" He winked at her and chuckled a bit.

"Just don't steal a cave from me and we'll be fine," Hienna answered with a half smile. Did she just make a joke with someone other than Zaphiro? That was a miracle within itself.
"Oh, of course. It's the most amazing feeling in the world. How long have you been with your mate?"

He chuckled and shook his head. "I had no intentions of taking your cave, Hienna. I'm no theif...Well unless you have apples, then that's a different story", he laughed.
He nodded. "I agree. I have been with her for a while now but we made it offical not that long ago. A few days maybe. What about you and yours?", he asked.

Hienna smiled shyly, "A week, maybe two," she said softly, "We had a rocky start but things did work out for the better." The mare didn't seem quite as standoffish with this stallion.
Perhaps it was because he was her own kind? She didn't know but it was nice. The mare tilted her head lightly, "Afraid I do not have any apples, though. I do know there is a nice apple tree not too far from here though."

"Well I wish you both luck with your relationship. As well as your home search. I guess it can be harder than it sounds." He nodded a little.
"Oh yes, there are quite a few good apple trees around the area. Some of the treats are hard to find though, such as carrots and sugar. That's one good thing to knowing a two legger. They have some of the tastiest treats", he laughed.
