out of confusion, what's yours?
Sounds like someone to tend to the souls not yet returned? (as I am a believer in reincarnation) Then I would call them angels. (I follow the Hebrewic Angelology, they are like my 'gods')

I actually haven't heard this term before, but relying simply on the basic meaning of the words, a Soulkeeper might simply be one who keeps souls for whatever reason; holding them until they're ready to move on to somewhere else or perhaps for for malevolent reasons.

Hm. I haven't know any 'soul keepers' if I have, they weren't named as such..
I do know of 'time keepers' which basically watch over certain aspects of time. Not sure if they actually govern or have the ability to manage or interupt time though.
Maybe they are similar and are guardians of the soul?

Darin Rosewood Ice Djinni Kaidreil like inhabited by another soul? but in the astral plane isnt there no 'real' matter so its only your soul anyways? The astral plane is constructed of real matter, just so much finer that you can't detect it. well what I meant...matter is really condensed energy right? Therefore there is no 'real matter' at all, but energy condensed enoguh to send the proper signals to your brain...anyways, I was juts saying that the astral plane's 'matter' is not as condensed, and doesnt have the same properties of matter as here. not to go all scientific here xD we're saying the same thing, really

soulkeeper, beyond the obvious-that which keeps souls.
more a keeper of the bound. sealing them away night permanently. like a jailer. more often viewed as a grim reaper of sorts to soem. or a specter of frightening capacity to most. a soulkeepers main function other tha keping souls is pentance. repentance is not unheard of. and the rest of my knowledge is sketcy, i'll update as soon as me ad my soul talk more clearly. whee.
