((I need a better title, oh well. Open RP, feel free to join.)) At a time when most horses would have found shelter, whether with their herd or just somewhere warm. Tika stood out in the open, in the middle of the beach. It was a cold, clear night, the moon was nearly full and high in the sky. She watched as the waves rolled in, ignoring the breeze that was toying with her mane.
After some time had passed, she had drifted deep into thought, but soon returned to her senses as she started to shiver. With her wings tucked in as close as possible to her sides for warmth. She set off down the beach at a trot to warm up, her breath coming out in white puffs in the cold air.

A well-built or rather muscular stallion stood at the edge of the cliff looking down. It was far down but his heart did not leap at the sight, no he was much to old for that now. He remembered being shoved off this very cliff for his first flight. His neck lifted so he could see the twinkling starts in the night sky. It was beautiful, the wind blew through his mane like a reminder that it was time to fly. Erik was out to this night, but he did not know where. They did not keep tabs on each other and he thought that was good thing. He could not see his relationship with Erik being like the one Cynara had with Cyrus. He shook his head at the thought, remembering where he was. The waves crashed at the seas below colliding with the sand, yes he remembered this place. With one swift motion those large ebony wings were out stretched and with one leap he fell off the cliff diving towards the bottom and twirling slightly one might say he was showing off now but that was not the case. The ground grew closer and as one were to think he would hit his wings moved clearing him of the danger and thrusting forward so he glided just above the ground and soon over the waters. He let his hooves touch the very tips of it. Slightly getting his legs what but not enough to make him care.
He rampaged over the waters for numerous minutes until he came to a landing at the beach shore looking out humming a slight song to himself. A lulluby that he had heard once but it was so mournful sometimes he wished he never heard it all yet its tune caught him and swept him away making him long for it until he hummed its sorrowful song. He hadn't noticed any others while he had made his midnight flight.

Despite appearing somewhat distracted, Tika had watched as the stallion flew off the cliff and landed. When one was alone, you had to keep your wits about you, atleast that is what she thought. Somewhat wearily, she continued up the beach towards him, curious to see who else was out for a midnight flight.

Ares turned in horror at the scent that had just came to him, he had been up wind or down wind...he had never told the two apart but he hadn't noticed her which meant he had left his guard down. He stumbled slightly at the female nearing him, "I'm sorry I did not see vous their." he replied in his low silky tones wondering how she had snuck up on him. It kind of intrigued him, he rarely left his guard down and yet she succeeded. He eyed the female curiously making sure he kept his distance, as always.

Tika jumped back in suprise when he suddenly turned around, but quickly calmed down. Somehow comforted by the fact he was as suprised as she was. "It's perfectly alright. I was just wondering who else was out her this late." She said with a small smile, her head cocked to one side as she watched him.

"Ah," he thought. "Well I guess to fill your question, I am Ares and I am the else who is out here this late." his voice spoke with no accent, this time. Usually later in the night it drifted off, to come back only when he spoke fluent french the next day. "May I ask whom it is that I am finding the 'else' that has greeted me on such a lovely night?" he asked. His manners were getting delightfully better from what they first were and he was almost...proud of himself.

Not exactly out flying a white mare was walking in the distance. Whatever sunlight there was the mare's golden swirls shinned brightly along with her hooves. Feathers danced in the light cold breeze as she watched two winged meeting ahead one looked strangly fimiliar and the mare not so much. Autumn trailed far behind the white mare trying to find a way to escape and not be with her adoptive mother. The mare snorted her usualy happiness and cheerfullness drained out of her. She didn't bother to look up she just stared at her feet in hope that the would take her somewhere else. Voices caught her ear and still not caring she walked onward.

"I am Tika." She said simply. "And it is a lovely night, but I prefer summer nights, it is a little too cold tonight." She added, as she shifted in place, to keep warm. Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw two shapes in the distance, but she could worry about that when they got closer.

Ares felt the two before he scented or saw them, it was odd for him. It was more he was trained as a predator rather than prey so his alert was always up. Though he was no predator at all and firmly enjoyed his grass and fruits but their was always that 'edgy' feeling. He recognized one of the mares and the pale one he did not. "It is a pleasure to meet you Tika." he remembered this from a very proper mare whom taught him a bit of etiquitte. "I haven't experienced the summer yet, I have been a hermit in the mountains for quite some time and have just now come out of my shell."

Nicole looked upon the two. The stallion looked like Phantom but, white and more different. Did Phantom finially settle down? The mare questioned a bright smile upon her face as she nodded gracefully.
Autumn herd a voice of a stallion and mare but, didn't reconize eaither of them. The stallion voice sounded like Ares but he had an accent. So the mare just shook her head and continued on un-caring.

"Summer nights are the best time to fly, if you can ignore the bugs." She said with a slight grin. "I haven't spent much time in the mountians, just flown around them, I might explore them when it is a bit warmer." She said, as tried to supress a shiver.

He shrugged, "I heard summer was nice, so I can only hope I suppose. If you ever need a guide I'd be happy to show you around. I know every rock it seems." he watched as Autumn seemed to ignore him which was...odd. "Excuse me," he said to Tika. "Autumn?" he half exlaimed, half questioned. "I hope you do not mind if she joins our delightful conversation mademoiselle Tika." he said a few french words but his accent was still decayed for the night. He liked feeling normal, some times. It made him go bright inside at the thought.

Nicole stopped her tracks to look back at the ignorant Autumn. She snorted at her giving her warning before turning towards the mare in a polite bow. "Afternoon everyone." The mare smiled.
Autumn snorted back at the mare a didn't bother looking up her eyes were fixed on her hooves. Mademoiselle The voice rung in her ears as she swiftly looked up. "Oh." she stated blankly then looked towards the mare and nodded her head before Nicole could yell.

((Afternoon?))
"Not at all, It is nice to have company." She said simply, watching the two mares. "Good evening." She said in greeting to the mare.

Ares couldn't tell if the female actually liked company or was just saying so. He didn't want to be a bother to the poor girl. After all they both had quite a scare upon meeting each other. It was rather spontaneous, scaring each other to have a conversation. Oh dear...he needed to get out more. He nodded to the unknown mare. His eyes were fixiated upon Tika for a miniscule of a moment before he turned. He had wondered if she was as good of a flyer as he. His cold orbs turned to Nicole as she snorted at Autumn, how odd. "Good evening," he replied in his silky tone.
