"Mmm..." said Ashe, rubbing her stomach and licking her lips at the thought of ice cold ice cream on the hot summer day.
"Yea, Mm..." imitated Noah.
Both Ashe and Noah decided to stop by the ice cream parlor for a good scoop or two or three of delicious ice cream! Both Ashe and Noah took money out of their piggy banks for this very special treat! Ruth was at home, cleaning and she allowed the two of them to get ice cream, but they had to get her one too!
"So what are you gonna get?" asked Noah, holding Ashe's hand as they crossed the street.
"Hmm...maybe bubble gum, with extra gum! YUUUMMMY!" she said, drooling at the thought.
"Oh! I want choco choco chip! With extra chip AND choco! Delish! And I can see it from here!"
The shop was a small little place, and there were many kids surrounding the door, all waiting to get in, but one kid stood out above all the rest, and mostly because of his bright, red hair.
"HEY LOOK NOAH! AN APPLE!" Ashe said pointing to the small boy. "He looks cute!" she said as she ran torwards the other boy.
"Ashe! Wait up!"

"I have a triple scoop sundae of annin tofu, pear, and cherry, please," Yusuke said, wading through the sea of children crowing the ice cream counter. It was surprisingly warm outside, so with Yazu in tow, he decided to pick up some ice cream after Kendo practice. Handing the cashier his money, he laughed feeling a tug on his long black hair.
Yazu squealed with joy. After another action-packed morning of rolling around on the mats in the kendo/judo gym, Yazu worked up quite an appetite. He charged himself up with the morning sunlight, so he was in full swing by the time snack time came around. His eyes sparkled looking at the giant tubs of ice cream. Growing impatient with Yusuke and the wait, he wrapped his little hands around a section of Yusuke's hair and gave it a firm tug.
"Hang on! Hang on!" Yusuke said, trying to pry the tiny hands from his long, blue-black hair. Looking over his shoulder at the little baby chilling out in his backpack baby carrier. Walking over to one of the few available tables, he continued his mini-lecture. "I don't need your help going bald. I'm only 26, and the kendo mask is doing enough dammage."
Yazu gurgled, pointing to the ice cream with interest. He loosened his grip on Yusuke's hair, but only just a little.

Ashe reached the end of the ice cream line and saw that the apple-boy was almost coming out. She excitedly jumped up and down waiting for both her turn in line and for the apple-boy to come! She wanted to say hi to him, but she had to good look first since she always had to make a good impression. She took out her handy dandy compact and started to fix her already-perfect-hair.
"Ashee what are you doing? You already fixed you hair at home!" whined Noah, who was getting a little impatient with the long wait and with Ashe. "And you need to slow down! Mom would kill me if she found out that I lost you!"

With Yazu and the sundae hovering above the melee, Yusuke navigated his way to the empty table. Seeing the gorgeous sunday down, he smiled in relieve when a clerk rushed over with a baby chair for Yazu. Carefully placing Yazu in the baby chair, Yusuke tried not to roll his eyes as the girls behind the counter squealed over how cute the little red head was and how hot guys with babies were. It was amusing the first twenty times that he heard it, but it was getting really old, very fast. Pushing back his long sleeves, and putting a bib with a crab applique on Yazu, he set about enjoying his amazing dessert. "Are you ready, buddy?"
Yazu pouted and puffed his cheeks out when Yusuke tried putting the bib on him. A pretty girl fixing her hair, caught his eyes and he squealed at her. She was simply glittering among the mob of kids. Giving a big, heartbreaker smile, Yazu waved his little hands at her.

"Eeee look Noah! He waved!" Ashe said, waving back with an even wider grin on her face. Yazu sat with his bib and it was all just so cute to Ashe. "Save my spot!" she exclaimed at Noah, leaving the line and running to the little boy.
"Ashe! I said not to run off!" exclaimed Noah, but this time he didn't run after her since he didn't want to lose their spot!
But Ashe simply ignored him and went up to the little red head and looked at him with her big round eyes. "HI THERE!" she exclaimed, kissing the boy on the forehead. "I'm Ashe! You're so cute! WHO ARE YOU?"

"Making friends already, kiddo?" Yusuke chuckled, feeding Yazu a bit of annin tofu ice cream with a small sample spoon. He skillfully airplaned the spoon around before sticking it in the infant's mouth. For every three airplanes, Yusuke helped himself to a large, heaping spoonful of ice cream, making sure not to drop any on his uniform. Looking at the little Princess Yusuke rose to his feet and replied, "This would be Yazu, your grace. And her majesty's name is--" With a sweeping bow, he knelt before her in his kendo uniform looking particularly regal despite holding a baby spoon.
Tickled pink. Yazu was absolutely tickled pink when the little girl bounded over to them, more so when she kissed him on the forehead. Her eyes were pitch black like Yusuke's calligraphy inks, a truly elegant color, indeed. In all his excitement, Yazu's pear scent grew really soft. Gurgling and giggling his made his tiger face for the girl, kicking and pawing at the air.

Ashe giggled at the older man's bow to her, and as a reply, she curtsied back. "It's an honor to meet you Yazu and you too, umm...what's your name again?" asked Ashe looking at the older person.
But while waiting for an answer, Ashe looked over at Yazu, who was just so adorable! She couldn't stop giggling and smiling at the little boy. Especially when he made his tiger face! "Heheheh!"
In line, Noah was getting a little impatient with Ashe, but it was already his turn! He looked up at the woman behind the register and said, "Hi! Can I get two scoops of bubble gum ice cream, with extra gum! And also two scoops of choco choco chip, with extra chip, please!"
The woman smiled and nodded and took Noah's money, now all he had to do was wait and then they could leave!

"My name is Yusuke Morimoto, I teach at one of the high schools near by," Yusuke smiled, taking his seat again. He scooped up a little bit of ice cream and made the airplane noises that Yazu loved. The PE teacher felt a little silly doing them in front of the girl, but at least she was a child and not someone his own age. "Are you here alone, Ashe, or do you have someone with you? There's space at this table if you want to join us."
Yazu's senses were alight with the energy he received from Ashe. She was so happy and bouncy, and her smile was a brilliant as the many beads she wore. His pear scent grew stronger, the happier he became. Kicking his feet happily, he opened his mouth wide when the ice cream airplane prepared for a landing.
There was something about Ashe's soul that captivated him. Sumi. "S-s-suuu.... miiiii...." Yazu squealed, grabbing at the air near Ashe's hair.

"OH! Hello Mr. Morimoto! I'm here with my brother, Noah. He's over there getting ice cream." she said as she pointed to where Noah was. He was on his way over with two cones of ice cream, trying his best not to trip or fall. "And I'd love to sit with you! Noah can sit next to you and then I'll sit next to Yazu!" she said with a smile.
"Asheee! Get your ice cream!" yelled Noah as he put the ice cream in front of him. Ashe quickly grabbed it and said a quick "Thanks," then pulled a chair next to Yazu. She pointed to the other chair and said, "You can sit there. Next to Mr. Morimoto."
Ashe smiled some more at the little boy and laughed when he said, "Sumi."
"Hehe...that reminds me of Sumo! And mm, you smell good! Like fruit!" she said as she ruffled his hair while chewing on the bubble gum in the ice cream. "Is your ice cream good Yazu? Mine is! Want to try some? Well...if thats okay with your daddy!"
Noah just sat there, glaring at Yazu and Ashe, licking his ice cream. But he realized that there was someone next to him and he said in a shy voice, "Oh..Hi I'm Noah..."

"Hey there, Noah, nice to meet you. Just make sure it's milk only, Ashe. Yazu still has no teeth to chew with." Yusuke said, watching the harried boy take his seat and give Ashe her ice cream. He nodded in amusement at Ashe's offer to give Yazu some bubble gum ice cream, "'Sumi'? Sumi sounds like Sumo, but its completely unrelated. Sumi means "ink" in my native language. I wonder why he would say that now..."
Yazu giggled as Ashe's fingers tickled his head while ruffling his hair. He blew a raspberry and stuck his tongue out playfully at Ashe. Bobbing his head from left to right, he kept saying "sumi" over and over and pointing at Ashe in excitement.

"Where do you live Mr. Morimoto?" asked Noah, trying to start a conversation.
Ashe nodded at Yusuke's directions, and just gave Yazu the bubble part of the ice cream. "Open wide Yazu!" she said as she got a spoon and scooped the ice cream, making it edible for the little pear boy.
"Ohh...I see! He must be really smart then! He sure is cute!" Ashe said once again. And everytime the young boy said 'sumi,' she would giggle.

"I live in a place called, "Wakasa. "It's not too far from here, actually. What about you, Noah? Do you go to school around here?"" Yusuke said, taking a large scoop of ice cream and smiling. He tried his best to demonstrate decent table manners in front of the children, by pausing to eat and not speak with his mouth full, especially as he didn't want to get any ice cream on his clothing. "Yazu's been picking the strangest words as his first ones, Ashe. Something about you must remind him of calligraphy ink. It's black and has many uses in my culture."
Yazu opened his mouth wide and took a bite of Ashe's ice cream. It was far sweeter than the flavors that Yusuke usually picked, so his face scrunched up as if he just sucked on a lemon for the first time. Yazu's nose crinkled while he swallowed the ice cream, and then he gave Ashe a giant smile, wriggling in his chair some more.

"I'm homeschooled by my Mommy! I think I might go to a school when I get into junior high though! I'm looking foward to it!" said Noah excitedly, ignoring all manners, with his mouth full.
"Ohh has he? Well I am a Ink Princess....I can draw things with my tail!" Ashe said as her tail flipped up from under her dress. She then started to draw an apple on the pavement. "Seee?"
But then Ashe fixed her eyes on Yazu, who seemed to not like the ice cream. "Aww you dun likey?" she said as she took a bite herself. "What do you like then?"

"Is being homeschooled fun, Noah? Do you go to any of the local rec centers to play sports or anything?" Yusuke asked, thinking about what he would do with Yazu when he was old enoguh to go to school. Without proper birth certificates and such, claiming him as a dependent could get rather... complicated. "That's quite a talent you have, Ashe. Have you ever thought about what you'd do with it? And don't mind Yazu. I don't give him many sweet foods, so the bubble gum might be too much for him right now. Surprisingly, Yazu loves fresh vegetables."
Yazu watched in complete awe as Ashe skillfully drew the apple on the pavement. Her tail swished and moved gracefully, almost like no effort was required at all. Yazu squealed and clapped happily in appreciation of the Ink Princess' art.

"Rec wha? What's that mister? But being homeschooled is okay I guess...I wish I could be in a real school! But I meet other people at parks so that's fun too!" Noah nodded.
Ashe's ears perked up when Yusuke mentioned her talent. "WHY THANK YOU! I try hard with my drawingness! I don't know what to do with it yet....I'm thinking of entering this one school with my drawing as a scholarship thingy. Well that's how Mommy explained it!" Ashe said with a little confused look on her face, but seeing Yazu's expression put a smile back on her face.
She quickly tickled Yazu's belly and started to make baby noises. "Hehehe."
