Psalm 103: 1-6

1:Let all that I am praise the LORD;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
2:Let all that I am praise the LORD;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.
3:He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases
4:He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
5:He fills my life with good things
My youth is renewed like the eagles!

Last night I when to a youth rally. I fell in love with the band (well, you know what I mean. They were really good) and my friends all desided to go up and give them hugs and get their sig's. So I go up with them, as any good friend would do.... and plus, I love to hug people, don't ask why.... and one of them gave me a bible verse under his sig. It was James 1:12. So, I go and look it up:

12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

13When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

16Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. 17Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

Lately I have been going through a lot of temptation, and only two nights before this happend I had broke down crying during a clip of the passion because, for the three monthes before, I had not let Jesus forgive me for my sin until I forgave myself and could accept it as wrong. Also not hearing anything from God for three months was pretty hard. Anyway, that was Wed. that I let Jesus forgive me, and this was Friday. Friday was the day that I heard God speek with me again, the day after I deleted the files on my computer that were the main caulse of my sin.

Just thought that I would shair that.

please pray for me,

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

- 1 Thessalonians 5:18, NLT
For hope

He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.

- 1 Peter 2:24, NLT
Before I became a Christian, of course I knew of Jesus. But I didn't understand why He had to die. This verse helped to clear things up, for me.

For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.

James 1:3, NLT

No new posts since August 7th?? eek Let's try to fix that... 3nodding

I was at work, yesterday, and I remembered one of my favorite exchanges between Christ and a disciple. I always found it was ironic, given the reversal of a more negative saying. And, I must admit, it is one of the passages that reminds me to always be kind to others who follow Christ, regardless of sect or tradition.

John said to Him, "Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us." But, Jesus said, Do not hinder him, for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me. For he who is not against us is for us. For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because of your name as followers of the Christ, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward.

Mark ix, 38-41 NASB

Always try to remember that when someone says, "Well, if they're not for us, they must be against us." wink

I will answer;
while they are still speaking
I will hear."

Who shall separate us from the love
of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or
persecution or famine or nakedness
or danger or sword? As it is written:
"For your sake we face death all day
long; we are considered as sheep to be
slaughtered." No, in all these things we
are more than conquerors through him
who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death
nor life, neither angels nor demons,
neither the present nor future, nor
any powers, neither height nor depth, nor
anything else in all creation, will be able
to separate us from the love of God that iss
in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.

The Lord is near
to all who call on him,
to all who call
on him in truth.
He fulfills the desires
of those who fear him;
He hears their cry
and saves them.

~ Psalm 145:18-19

I keep asking that the God of our Lord
Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may
give you the Spirit of wisdom and
revelation, so that you may know him
better.
I Pray also thatthe eyes of your heart
may be enlightened in order that you
may know the hope to which he has
called you, the riches of his glorious
inheritance in the saints, and his
incomparably great power for us who
believe.

I know this topic hasn't been posted in for a while, but I have a verse I'd like to add. Until the other day, I'd never given it much thought.

But respect Christ as the holy Lord in your hearts.
Always be ready to answer everyone who asks you
to explain about the hope you have, but answer in
a gentle way and with respect. Keep a clear conscience
so that those who speak evil of your good life in Christ
will be made ashamed.

- 1 Peter 3:15-16

I think it's important how we respond to others when they ask us about our faith. That can really make an impression of what they think of all Christians in general, and maybe if they have had a negative experience previously, they will be pleasantly surprised to find that not all Christians act in the way they thought. Just by acting like Jesus, we can point someone towards Christ. We don't even have to speak to them first, maybe they'll be the ones coming up to us! biggrin So, just think about how you would explain about your faith to a non-believer. You never know when the chance may arise!
