It had been a couple of days since the god of famine had inherited his obedient follower, his shadowy, decrepit form constantly being followed by the happy, pleased pup of a creature. he of course was the silent type and having someone follow him around had made himhave to speak. for when he was spoken to he had to reply. It was the way things were. His ears twitched as he rose from his resting place and took his first, bone rattling breath of the new day, his chest filling noisily as he took in that death rattle of a breath. "Waken kenzi" His voice echoed eerily upon a breeze, as he clambered stiffly to his foot paws. He took a moment to stretch out his claws, his frame stretching unvcomfortably with each, aching movement his bones attempted to seep through the thin furred skin.
The slim head of the lord of famine lowered and touched kenzi on the shoulders. It wasn't often that the body without any true voice touched, let alone touched to rouseor to comfort, perhaps he was getting far too used to haveing this female around him already. His lack lustre tail gave a single creaking swish as those stoney, gargoyle like eyes watched her, waited for her to rise with him, with the sunrise.
He let out that gasping breath at last....

Kenzi yawned, as she was commanded to wake up. Stretching herself, she peered her eyes open, to look up to the awaiting Jaddis. Smiling, she stood to see the sun rising above her. "Good morning, Master. Did you sleep well?" She turned to look to the emotionless god, a never ending smile on her maw. She shook her fur clear of debris, as she padded ahead a few steps, curiously.
"So, I wonder where the famine will lead us, today?" She extended her purple-toned wings, as the sun brightly shone on them.

Jaddis' brow furrowed, he hardly ever showed any sort of fleeting emotion, but this one, confusion, seemed to reign supreme of late. he couldn't help but wonder, even now, why the little goddess, the pretty little creature of life followed him. "tell me obedience, do you love your master when you are bonded to him? Who was your owner before myself kenzi?" Why these questions suddenly plagued him he was unsure, but they were questions he deemed worthy of asking. He was finding it less and less disturbing to speak to the happy bouncy, playful goddess. He knew there were things he wished to do, places he needed to go, questions he needed answered, but they could wait while they went.
It was time to move on, he found it endelessly difficult to stay and stare at the sunshine, to stand still, to not follow his path and find his next destination. "would you do anything for your master Kenzi?" A question he did not exactly want to answer, it seemed taht disjointed voice had a mind of it's own today and the body, that crippled form, seemed acctually surprised at what it was hearing though it continued on in to the world, head low, tail trailing the ground and those old, battered wings held tightly against his ribs.

Kenzi turned to look at Jaddis, curious to the sudden questions. "Of course I love my master. ... ... I wish I could tell you, Jaddis. Unfortunately, my memory was completely erased when he abandoned me. I have no memory of my previous owners, but I have a feeling I had one once before."
She nodded. "Of course I would do anything for my master. ... it is my nature, at that." She smirked, and then folded her wings back up, as the sun warmed them up.

Jaddis watched the doggish femmefor a long, stoney eyed moment, his eyes showing no emotion, though he was for once, looking at her. "If I told you to stay here for a day and a night would you?" It was a question he had wanted to ask. The reason swam around in his head and he wondered why it was there. Why would he care if she saw the place he was walking in to? He was the god of famine, his domain starvation, he walked the earth simply to oversee the matters of the hungry. "I would come back." the disjointed voice seemed to know what it needed to affirm to her. He didn't have the wont to abandon Kenzi, far from it, he was acctually nearlly enjoying, if that was a possible emotion he could hold, her company.
He let out a slow aching breath, his head lolling slightly his eyes though staying firmly fixed on the small, dainty little doggish femme before him. Obedience, he was finding it very hard to fathom what exactly she would do for him. If she would stay until he returned, if she would follow him in to the lands and perhaps perform tasks that would possibly break that cheery spirit. Did he want to break her? Another question which plagued him. he wanted to see ehr starve, he wanted to feel her with famine uponher lips, but he could not touch her. He could not touch those of immortality, he could not feel her because she was not starving. He doubted she would understand. He acctualy wanted to preserve her innocence? Yes, what a strange thing to want....Yes....

Kenzi smiled, looked down at the ground where her master sat before her. A glazed look in her eyes, kept her content, as she kept a close eye on Jaddis. Her tail slowly beated back and forth excitingly. "Of course, master. I would be more than honored to stay here, and obey you. I would kill myself before I disobeyed you. Anyways, I would never leave you, or dishonor your wish. For your name is inscribed on my collar, and that signifies why I obey."
She kept still, holding her excitement still for a moment's time. She didn't want to upset Jaddis. She'd already learned so much about this wonderful creature, and she didn't want to forget about him, or be abandoned.

The gods brow furrowed at her enthusiasm. "Do you truely wish to see what I am about to walk in to?" His disjointed voice echoed calmly in her ears, his dark, emotionless eyes fixed upon her. She was loyal, obedient to his every whim, yet he was going to protect her from what he truely was? No, let her obedience break because of what he was. She would escape he was sure, therewas no beast on the earth that would follow blindly in to what he must tread.
"Perhaps, i will leave you next time, we must hurry now. We are close to where I must be." He started to walk then, that usual slow painful walk, though his mane brushed against the obedient godesses side to affirm he knew she wa sthere, despite the voice which drifted in an unbodily manner, despite a body that did not rect to any thought or feeling purveyed by that voice. he could confirm that he knew she was there, that she was his.

"Your wish is my command, Jaddis." She lept down, and then trailed behind him, as she did previously before. She didn't mind walking slowly, she actually enjoyed it quite a lot. It made her feel much happier, as she paced herself better. The smile on her maw never left her, even when they were about to face the scaring eyes of death, she still kept content in it all. Since Jaddis was so emotionless, Kenzi kept herself strained on one thought -- happiness, and so, this is how she would end up facing death and starvation.
She had no reason to look at it negatively.

Wish? He had heard that word before, but it was most certainly not directed at him. A wish to live rather than to die. His sunken skull shook and he paused, his body for once acting rather than simply moving because it needed to. "You must not smile at the face of death Kenzi. there are creatures suffering here." His voice echoed loudly with the cries of those so close now. "Do you hear them? they suffer and I must watch it and feel it as they go." His head drooped slightly. "They do not die through me, they only suffer."
He approached kenzi then and lifted a paw so thin the bones barely stayed beneath the skin. "I cannot feel you, i cannot see you, but I know you are there." He let out a slow ragged breath then his claws touching her dusty purple wings. "you do not wish to see what I must." The sown lips of the god of famine parted slightly, fresh blood from his stitched lips seeping down his mouth. He knew he could make her feel a great hunger with his touch, he could see her faintly, truely see her if she hungered even for a moment, he could feel her if she hungered, at the moment she was simply a creature whom he travelled with he could not truely feel her. He would never be able to feel her, perhaps this was what he wished to purvey to her. her obedience was appreciated, but he would not be able to grant anything she wished for.He could not feel her, for she could not starve.

"Why do you want to feel me, Master? ... ... is there something wrong? ... ... If you want to feel me, I will obey you, Jaddis. I will starve myself until you can feel me, as if I were like a dying rouge." She kneeled down, and then flicked her ears, as she quirked a brow.
"I smile because I choose not to view it. But, if you think I should frown, I shall. I do not wish to smile upon their suffer. I'm sorry if I upset you." She turned away, a frown glaring upon her maw. She would obey his every command, stupid or not. She had a feeling he liked when she smiled, but it would be more honourable to frown with the suffering, than to smile and destroy their spirits as they pass through the afterlife.

He let his dishevelled claw drop back to the ground slowly. "No I would not ask that of you kenzi." His voice paused as he turned to continue to walk. "We will pass through this small, starving landand out the other end in to greener pastures wheer you can be happy again.." His voice trailed the sounds of those starving heavy in his voice. "I will show you how they feel.."
They came to a small rise then, his stoney eyed gaze lookign down in to a tiny valley. Those within this vally had over populated, destroyed their resourcesand now they starved.
He slowly decended through the thin grses, his shadowy eyes showing some glimmer of life as he passed by those whom could no longer ee him, young and old alike suffered fromt he ill effects of starvation, some on the edge of life, decending in to death.
He forgot for a long time that Kenzi followed him in to this vally of death, until he came to the other side and started to acend once again out of the small death trap. "It is time to leave." He took a shuddering breath then, following the curve of the vally back out in to the world, knowing that those whom had seen him, those whom could see him would be the ones whom would soon see death and follow him to the next life. "That is what I am kenzi. Do you truely grant your obedience?"

Kenzi's eyes widened as she watched the sights of the starvation and hunger among the rouges. It was a terrifying sight, and yet -- she still wanted to know more. She whispered lightly to him, "I want to know how they feel, Master. I want to know more about them. ... why they suffer."
She followed him through the grasses, until they rose back up, away from what was the 'valley of death'. She kept a blank stare on her face, copying what Jaddis looked like in her eyes. "I grant my obedience to you, my master, Lord Jaddis of the Famine." She kept her body stiff, as she followed the sickly God, looking behind her, as those below had their life shattered before her. The image ceased to frighten her.

A slow, exhausted breath ecaped him, and he gave a nod. "Very well then." He pushed away fromt he vally, leaving behind the wrekcage of life, the hunger and the death that would soon enough follow for many.
"There is only oe way that you will be able top feel what I do." His voice, that disjointed eerie sound had finally stopped screaming, now that his job was behind him, the next far infront, he returned to his normal self, strange as that was for most. He found it oddly releiving that kenzi was not frightened away, that she wished to know what they felt.
"We must bond together, be one" He shook his head. The god of famine of course knew of mating, of being one with another creature. He also knew he could not love kenzi, he could teach her his ways and own her, posess her as she wished but there was nothing more he could do for her, he could not truely feel for fear of feeling. He would pass on a moments curse, a moment of pain of suffering, of starvation, the feeling of death and the fear of life with the endless suffering. Why he would wish to scar her thus he was uncertain. But if she came out the other side still sane, she was worthy to be his servant, his obedient servant.

Kenzi nodded, and trailed behind him. "I will do anything to know how you feel, Jaddis. I want to know it." She continued to beg, like the mutt she was.
She truly did not realize what she was dragging herself into. She didn't know that by 'bonding', they would be mating, to be one. She knew nothing of what mating even was, or what the results of it were in the end. She was the clueless little pet, dragging away on a choking collar and leash.
She drew herself in, as she came closer to him, looking him directly in the stone cold eyes he had. "Then so be it, master. I want to bond with you, and share what you know all so well." She loved her master more than anything, but it wasn't like a mating-love relationship. It was the relationship between a God, and his dog. She would love him no matter what, even if he returned it in a cold manner. She didn't care. She didn't understand much, anyways. The only thing that mattered to her now, was bonding with her owner, like never before.

Rolling his boney shoulders the god of famine gave a single slow nod and lead the little dog like femme off towards a thicket of trees and shrubbery. "I will grant you my curse."
Taking Kenzi deep in to the copse he gave her what she wished for, showed her how it felt to be what he was, gave her the feeling of starvation. He was unsure if their pairing would produce antyhing, he wasconstantly unsure if even the body he posessedlived any more. he knew of cubs, of child birth, he could care for them no more than he cared for Kenzi, even if they were his own. the last thing on his mind though was youbngsters. She asked for how it felt, he would show her how it felt until the night fell andthey would once again sleep before they must rise againw ith the morning suna nd follow their paws to their next destination.
