Hasani's eyes fluttered open to see a slightly dimmer sky then when he had first layed down his head. Had he really slept that long? The sun had already passed zenith and was falling towards the other side of the sky. His belly had settled from the meal he had caught with Kina and he felt much better after his rest. Lazily, he sat up and streatched, thinking about the way they had caught the bull pig before his mind caught a strain of panic.
Kina!
He franticaly looked about, worried she might have wandered off, or he had wandered away from her while she was sleeping and he didn't realise it. But that subsided as he saw her form laying only inches away from his, still sleeping soundly in the late sun.
Sighing, Hasani Tau turned to face her and watched her sleep for a moment. She looked like she should, well fed. Kina had a pretty coat, Hasani noticed. The colors were natural and flowwy, and he liked it. Slowly, he came from the trance and nudged her.
"Kinamasi." He said a bit to softly, then cleared his throat and said a bit louder. "Kinamasi! It time to wake up."

"Jus' five more minuites mom" Kinamasi rolled over slightly when Hasani nudged her side, rolling over her paws draping accross her eyes, though at his second phrase her eyes slowly peeped open and she gazed up at the large, hairy male over her paws. "It's kinda dark out here.." She whispers slowly shaking the sleep from her aching frame. She had been travellig for some time before she had found hasani and the full belly and decent sleep really hadn't aleviated any of the pressure on her game leg. Still, with a brave, and some what cocky face she stumbled to her foot paws and nudged hasani back.
The adolecent lioness rolled her shoulders and tilted ehr head from left to right, ridding her neck and shoulders of the cricks which had formed in sleep. "Alright 'Sani, I'm up!" She gave a gentle, rolling laugh then, a laugh which was so much like her mothers low, lilting and almost a whisper. Ruby red eyes watched the duo toned male before her as the last rays of the sun played upon his coat, her deep red orbs capturing his crystaline green eyes. "Which way should we go?" She whispers, trusting Hasani for some reason, trusting him more than perhaps she knew she should.
he had stayed with her all through the day though, it had to count for something right? Smiling, she gave herself a nod and let out a deep, rolling, happy sigh. She had found a friend, somone she knew she could trust and travel with, together she was pretty sure they could see the whole world.

Hasani chuckled lightly at her first response. He had never been confused for a mother before, and it was quite a humerous moment. He watched as she righted herself and looked at him. Her eyes were heavy on him, and deep. He hadn't noticed that before, even though he had looked at them already a few times. But he hadn't looked past their red color in at what was hidden. The look she gave him was enough to give his heart a sharp jerk, and he had to look away to compose himself. Hesitantly, he covered the harsh look away to look at the horizon as if it had been his intention all along.
"Well," he said, letting his teal eyes flow over the horizon. "It all depends on where you wish to go." He added finaly after a long pause. Hasani dared a glance down at his new companion only to catch that flash of red and look back up. He had only seen that look once before, and that hadn't ended quite right. He was shy about girls, which was his downfall the last time. Kina was nice, and beautiful, and he didn't want to scare himself off because of a look, he want to see what would happen.
"And what about that little thing that was with you yesterday? Did she get lost after we lef the kill?" He asked, shifting.

Kinamasi tilted ehr head curiously at his shy, shifting looks, her dark red orbs trying to find those teal eyes and hold them, she would keep his gaze one of these days. She gave a little gggle and tugged at the base of his mane "I want to see the world!" It was a simple enough reply, she wanted to see everything before she returned to the swamps, before she returned with a name that suited her best. "I just don't know where to start 'Sani, where do you think is best?" She smiled softly at the large maned male her ruby red eyes glancing at his large, muscular frame. He reminded ehr faintly of her father, only less hairy and less pudgy. 'Sani was handsome and she certainyl couldn't deny she was very glad of his company.
"Oh Kivuli?" She giggles and takes a deep breath "KIVULI!" her ears twitched forwards and she waited, and for a moment nothing happened then in a wriggly flash and alot of noise from the undergrowth the little genet appeared and perched herself on Kinamasi's back
"Ach lass! Do ye have ta be so dern loud? iwas sleepin' yanno?" The duo toned genet looked to the large male lion. "you still wit him? is 'e comin wit us then?"
Kinamasi giggles. and gives a little nod. "yes 'Sani is going to show me the world, arn't you 'sani?" she looked back at the much larger male, though she wasn't a small female, he was still larger than she and no doubt always would be, her voice though was one of cocky self assurance, he would show her the world, she was pretty sure of it and she would one day hold that teal eyed gaze still.

"The world is very big," He replied, smiling to himself. The tugging of his mane was quite a heart warmer, and he melted from his shyness a bit. "There are many lands, many creatures, many places to see. From the great waters that rest where the sun rises and the sun sets, to the mountains, to the jungle, to the dusty deserts. Where, of all of those, would you like to go, my dear?" He asked, and dared yet another look down to Kina.
However, the thing called Kivuli came into view, on her back. He was slightly surprised at the quick appearence of such a small creature. He was even more surprised at the odd look her got from the genet. It made his eyes go wide and his ears perk up.
"I-I am indeed." He said looking from the genet on her back to Kina and back. "Once you tell me where you wish to go."

Kinamasi sat for a moment then, her head tilting to the skies, where to start? Well, she had never gotten that farin her thoughts. She had heard of the jungle though, a place so green you could smell it. She remembered her mother telling her a tale of the jungle when she was a cub. "Well, how about we start at the jungle?" She smiled brightly, getting up on her paws once again and weaving her way around Hasani, she limped as always when she did this, her left foreleg long ago damaged. leaning her left shoulder against his right, perhaps for suppoert, opr perhaps just because shewanted to stay close to the maned lion was uncertain but she gave a nod. "Lead the way 'ani." She puurrs, her large ruby red eyes fixed upon his cheek, she would follow him where ever he would take her, to the end of the earth and back round again.
Kivuli glanced between kinamasi and the large male lion and shook her head. "Dun you be gettin' twitterpated on me lassy." She grunts and settles down on Kinamasi's back comfortably. "gunna be a long trip then?"
Kinamasi giggled. "Kivuuli!" she sighed, pushing back a slight blush on her cheeks, she knew what 'twitterpated' was. "Yes it's going to be a long journey, so just behave!" she grins, recovering from her moment of bashfulness. "Are youready to go?" she grins, watching hasani, hoping he didn't know what twitterpated meant.

Hasani smiled as she leaned on him. He wasn't sure which it was, support or comfort, but he didn't mind, he kind of liked it. "The jungle is a gorgeous place, I've been there a time or two, wouldn't mind another visit." He mumbled, slightly.
At the request, Hasani started to walk North. The jungle was on a North by North-West way, as the birds fly, and it would take a good two days to get there. They would pass through the Pridelands, Kingwa'mbwa, and maybe even Motoujamii lands, which could spell for encounters. However, Hasani was knowledgable and they would avoid any dangerous areas.
His ears went up at the genet's coment. "Twitterpated?" he said more to himself then really outloud, low enough that maybe Kina could hear, but no Kivuli. He kept walking, however. It must mean tired, or flustered for Swampies, Hasani guessed.
"We can rest again once the sun is down." He added to make conversation, which he desperatly wanted. Silence was unnerving.

Kinamasi grinned, she was glad that hasani didn't know what it meant,s he could make up what it acctually meant. "It means, uhm," she searched for a word, "really, really tired, yeah, thats what it means." She beams, she didn't want to lie to hasani, but telling him it meant falling in love would just embaress her.
She let out a little, happy sigh at the ideals of the jungle. "I can't wait to see it, how long will it take to get there 'Sani?" she asked her bright red eyes curious, as she leaned gently against them. She was happy to keep on going until thwe sun was fully down, and she was certainly glad that she would have hasani to rest against, she had slept like a log next tio him, he was so warm and comfortable and smelt so good.... Shakingher head she let those thoughts leave her, she shouldn't be thinking such things or she really would be twitterpated with 'sani!
"Tell me what the jungle is like 'Sani, I have hjeard of it but i know so little of the world outside the swamps." She puurrs, nipping gently at the tips of his mane as they walked along, her playful side kicking in as his mane brushed her cheeks,s he couldn't help but n** at his bangs.

"It does? Hmm. I thought thats what it meant." Hasani like this playful side of Kina, it was easy for him to fall into such a state and he nipped back at her as they walked, laughing childishly.
"oh! Its beautiful!" He said, bouncing slightly in his steps. "Its huge! And there are all sorts of animals there. And its Green! More green then you could ever imagine in your wildest dreams! Or your sane ones, for that matter!" Hasani leaned down slightly to n** at hear ear, watchful of the genet on her back.
"If we rest tonight, and tomarrow night, it should take us about two days, maybe a little more if we stop for a small meal." He shook his mane happily. The day was now cool, and night would fall within another four hours or so. "We should walk for a good while before we stop. If I am correct, the place I stayed a few nights ago isn't that far away from here, and we can stop there after dark."

kinamasi giggled and gave a slight, shy nod, maybe she'd tell him what it really meant one day? Maybe... Shaking the thoughts from her head she grinned as he played with her ears, truning her ruby red eyes firmly upon the big male. She could see how she could get twitterpated with hasani, he was handsome and happy, and willing to help her. He was everythign a girl could want in a friend.
Clearing her throat she pulled her mind from that way of thinking. "It sounds beautiful" She smiled up at the big male, trying to remain un fallable, trying to be the big strong girl she was supposed to be, she was trying hard to resist the big shy huggable, playful male, though it wasn't really working very well.
"two days huh? well, we have all the time in the world." She gave a quick, happy nod and continued to walk her shoulder rpessed happily against hasani's her slight, garrish limp not slowing her down, though she knew after two days of travel it most certainly would. She would worry about that later though.

"There is alot of it to see, too." He added, his eyes getting big at remembering. "I was last there when I was smaller, I think a few good summers old. Its huge, you see. The trees grow taller then mountains, and thicker then watering holes!" This, of course, was quite an over statement. "Or... maybe that just what they looked like. I was quite small then," And he laughed heartily at himself for his forgetfulness.
"And the plants there are beautiful. Large and always flowering, even when it rains. There's alot of good food there, as well. Kept me well fed."
He smiled down at her, then looked down at her limp. She seemed to be managing it well enough, if need be he'd make her stop so she wouldn't hurt herself more. "Yup, two days. And we can spend a good few days in the jungle, then maybe we could go to the ocean! I havn't been there in a while. It's just as beautiful, and its always moving." his smile widened.

Kinamasi beamed up at him when he spoke of the jungle, she really couldn't imagine it. having grown up in the swamps where things were a differnt kind of green she couldn't even fathom the idea of green trees and waterfalls. "It sounds wonderful" She lets out a rather girly sigh then before shaking off her moment of girlie weakness and nudging his cheek with her nose.
"The ocean?" She smiled brightly. "I'v never even heard of that." she paused and looked thoughtful. "well, wheer ever you think is best 'Sani, I'm happy to go any wheer I just want to see everything, eventually!" she puurrs continuing to hobble along at his side.
"I don't think I'v ever really seen a flower, i remember seeing a dandylion once, but it soon died. The swamps wern't very good for growing things really. though I want to go back there when I'v found my name, I'm not in any hurry to return." She smiled whistfully looking out over the plains, in to the world she was happy to adventure forth in to.

"Then we'll have to save the bast for last! The ocean is mighty beautiful. Its like a watering hole, but... huge." Hasani said, searching for an analogy. His mind saw the waves of the water, and his eyes saw the movement of teh grasses on the plains.
"Its like the Grass!" He said with vehemance. "See how it moves on the wind, flowing likes a wave? The plains are the dry ocean. So vast, moving together. You will like it there, two days travel, and then we can rest on warm sands and feast on all the fish that JUMP from the water! I spent many months at the ocean when I was younger." He said, and surprised himself when he nuzzled her back. Hasani stood up straighter, "and they have... eh, flowers there too. Its very nice."

The little wanderer fromt he swamps beamed as she listened to his analogy of the sea. The ocean sounded amazing, and fish? Well she'd eaten mudskippers in the past and plenty of frogs, perhaps the fish of the sea were like that. She couldn't even fathom what she would se when they reached the oceanic shores and took in the sights and sounds of the sea.
With a nod she stepped up beside him resisting the limp in her left fore leg suetifully, pretending it did not pain her to walk sometimes, her twisted limb forever held at an odd angle. "Lets go then. The world may always be there but I can't wait to see it." She grins in a cubbish manner then her deep ruby red eyes glimmering happily. She was ready to see the world and she didn't wnat to waste one more second dilly dallying on the way to her next wonderful destination, the sea..

Hasani was pleased. It really, shouldn't, take to long to get to the ocean, and it was a beautiful place to go. It seemed, though, that the conversation had subsided to only travel, and now that the destination was decided... what was there to talk about?
He was silent for a long while, wanting to break the silence, but... with what? Well... it would be nice to learn more about Kina and her family.
"Kina?" he asked, "Tell me more about yourself. How old are you? What does your name mean? What you want to do while your traveling... that kind of stuff. Its a good walk to the ocean, so... tell me. " He said, smiling down at her. "Of course, you can ask me questions too..."
