Hanging up the phone, Tara smacked her head against the wall. Who in the world would be crazy enough to babysit a luna moth with brand new wings, a baby dragon, and a crawling god of illusions. The woman cursed under her breath in her native language as Aysel and Pala entered the room.
"Morning Mom!" Aysel chirped, heading to the cabinets for a glass. Filling it with water she wandered over to the table as Apala headed to the large bowl set aside for him. Drinking his fill he clattered around the kitchen, already large enough to be clunky in the space.
"Good morning sweetling. Did you sleep well?" came the absent minded reply.
Aysel frowned, carefully seating herself on the stools they recently aqquired. Her wings and vestigal tail swung behind her as she sipped her glass of water. "Good... " Aysel replied, Apala adding his growl of a response in as well. For a few long moments the luna moth sat there swinging her legs. Finally fed up with her mom's distraction (and fed up on waiting for breakfast) the luna moth spoke up. "Mom?"
"Mhm?" the woman answered as she dialed again on the phone. With a pout Aysel just shook her head, evesdropping on her mom's conversation.
"Hello? Niki? Could you babysit Aysel, Pala, and Korin for me? I need to run back home for the day for some family matters..." Tara waited for her friends answer.

Unlike the calm and quiet atmosphere of the ****** household, the Ledell home was quite chaotic. "Aiden! Stop throwing food around! Shito, don't worry about the messy, sweetie. Mommy'll clean it up here in a little while." Niki was trying to keep one kid in his seat and the other from redecorating the kitchen walls with his breakfast.
Alaqua was quickly wolfing down her own breakfast so she could escape outside. Not that it was much better nowadays with the three minidragons and two imps out there, but Bob was usually good about making them behave when he was around.
Reign was also eating quickly, but more to be able to help her mother soon. She knew that if she didn't eat now, chances were that she wouldn't be eating until lunch. Best get something down when you could.
To add to the chaos, the phone began to ring. "Ala!" Niki caught her daughter in the act of trying to escape from the kitchen. "Could you please answer that?"
Alaqua frowned and snatched the phone, quickly passing the still ringing device to her mother and making her escape to the relative calm of the backyard.
Nikiana sighed and pressed the button that allowed her to answer the phone. "Hello? Oh, hey Tara. What...? Oh...." The woman winced. She'd been planning a long day of grocery shopping and running other errands. "I can't... but Reign might be able to... I'll ask her real quick."
Reign had looked up at her name. "What is it, Mom?"
"Tara needs to run some errands today and needs someone to watch Aysel, her little boy, and... I think Aysel's dragon." Niki hadn't recognized the name Pala, but she was pretty sure that Korin was the little boy. "Would you mind..?" She knew that it was asking quite a bit of the girl, who was already in charge of watching one angsty almost-teenager, one dragon, a godling of chaos and one of order.
Reign thought for a moment. Aiden and Shito were a handful in themselves... but... "I guess so. I mean, Aysel and Ala can help me." Reign hoped that maybe her mother would force Ala to help and surely Aysel could help with her little brother. The dragons wouldn't be anything to worry about.
Niki smiled at her daughter. "Hey, Tara? Yeah, Reign can watch them."

Tara grimaced on the other end of the phone, mind moving quickly. Well, at least the girl was older than Aysel and the two might actually enjoy doing makeovers with each other. "That'll be fine. Can she come in..about half an hour? Korin'll be up by then and I'd rather not leave while he's sleeping." Bad, bad idea. Wrapping up the conversation, the woman hung up again finally focusing.. on the empty table.
She didn't have to hear much to understand that her mom was leaving her, once again, in the care of someone else. Sliding her chair back roughly, Aysel stormed out of the kitchen and upstairs. Slamming her door shut, she nearly got Apala's tail caught in it. Whipping his tail out of the way, Pala looked at Aysel warily.
"I bet it's about Korin again. It's always about Korin." The girl grumbled flopping onto her stomach. "I hate him.."
A long stream of growls, chirps, and other language stemmed from Apala, who tried with his upmost to cheer the girl up. Finally frustrated at his inability to convey what he wanted the dragon curled up disgusted next to her bed.
Within ten minutes, a knock came at the door, and her mom came inside, Korin in her arms. Sitting up Aysel frowned, "What?"
Passing Korin over to Aysel, the mage smiled. "I've got to go home for the day. There's some problems.. Reign will be coming over to stay with you." Reluctantly, Aysel accepted her brother.
"But, Mom..." She shut up as a kiss was placed on her forehead.
"I'll be back before dark, and I know you're mature enough to take care of Korin and Pala with Reign's help," Tara glanced at her daughter. "Come on down stairs and wait for Reign with me?"
Nodding sullenly, Aysel and Korin followed the their mother down to the first floor. She was just waiting for the babysitter.

"Sure... I guess..." Niki didn't get much opportunity to state that the other three kids would have to be coming as well. The woman sighed and tried to quickly finish feeding the twins. "Well, at least Ala will be happy..." The koala girl would be thrilled to hear that she was going to Aysel's house.
Finally, the family was piling into Niki's car. Quite literally. Bob was really too big for the back anymore. So she just gave in and laid all of the backseats down, letting Ala sit in the back with Bob and hold Shito. Aiden was given to Reign in the passenger seat. They'd make it to Tara's, at least.
And so, the Ledell family did make it to the ****** household. Upon arrival, they began to start piling out in some sort of clown car act. Ala stretched her legs while still maintaining a firm grasp on Shito's hand (not that this twin was likely to give as much problems as the other). Reign was relieved to be at their destination, for Aiden was trying to redo her hair. Bob skulked along behind the family, while Niki led them all up to the door and rang the bell.

Hurrying to the door, Tara flung it open. Thankfully it was into the house and not out or she might have been delayed. "Thank goodness. I'm running-" The mage blinked at Lydell family...all of it.
From behind her mother, Aysel went from pouting to perky. "'La! Look, I got wings now, aren't they cool!?" the luna moth burst out. It was going to be far more fun with Alaqua around and not just Reign. Setting Korin down, she danced around to Ala and started dragging her towards her room. "Pala meet Bob, Bob, Pala, c'mon 'La."
Korin crawled towards the group at the door, stopping well out of the footpath. With a sort of wave he watched the group.
With a snort at Aysel's abandonment Apala watched 'Bob' warily. He remembered how absorbed Aysel had been with the other dragons...
Tara shook her head, cutting Niki off of whatever the other woman was saying. "Whatever, I've really got to go. Reign, we'll talk pay later, Ja!" Hurridly the mage rushed to her lab, forgetting to close the door all the way and dissapeared.

Seeing the look on Tara's face, Niki realized that she'd forgotten to mention that Reign was also watching the rest of the kids that day. Oh well, she gave the twins quick pecks on the cheek and gave Reign a hug, noticing that Ala had already slipped off with Aysel. "Have fun, I'll be over before too long. Call me if Tara gets back before I do, okay?"
Reign nodded and nabbed Shito's hand and herded her little brothers inside the house. "Bye, Mom." She snaked her tail over to snag up Korin and hauled the three young gods into the house, somehow managing to shut the front door along the way. Well, so much for Ala and Aysel helping her with the boys...
Ala and Bob had escaped the family and fled with Aysel to the moth girl's room. "Such pretty wings!" Ala exclaimed as they entered and she had the chance to look at them more. "And you got your dragon, too!"
Bob eyed the other dragon. "What?" He grunted, noticing that Pala was staring at him. "Me be Jormungandr now," the brass wyrmling informed Aysel.
Ala rolled her eyes. "Just call him Bob. We all do."
Bob snorted and glared at the silly girl he'd been stuck with.

Korin blinked as he was suddenly hauled by a tail into the house. How...cool... Reaching out he tugged on the fur, having not yet learned 'gentle hands'. Interesting. It didn't come out much. "Ohhh....." he said, absorbed.
"Yup!" the luna moth faltered on Bob's new name, "Jormender? Jorganmud? Bob is a lot easier," she finally agreed. Studying Ala she homed in on a stricking new difference. "You're mom let you die your hair?!? It looks so cool!" the luna moth gushed.
It wasn't fair! The other dragon knew English already and he didn't. "My Aysel," he warned Bob in draconic.

Reign winced as little hands pulled on her tail fur, trying not to shout and scare the poor boy. As soon as the door was firmly closed, she let loose her brothers and gently set down Korin on the floor. "Now, be nice, Aiden. And don't make a mess!" She had to raise her voice on the last part as the young god of chaos headed off somewhere. Which frightened Reign a bit. Well, hopefully Aunt Tara didn't have any breakables within the boy's reach.
Shito peered at Korin. He was so little compared to Shito, which the older boy found fascinating. Had he ever been that small?
Bob grumbled as Aysel stuck with Bob like everyone else. He flicked his tail, then glanced over at the other dragon, switching to draconic to reassure the bronze that he didn't want his silly girl's silly friend. Both were silly in Bob's mind and he really wouldn't want either, if he had the choice.
Ala grinned. "Well, uh..." Okay, so her mom hadn't exactly allowed it, but Aysel didn't really need to know that, right? "Thanks. I thought it was really cool looking." And it was green. The best color ever.

Korin stared back at Shito for a while before becoming distracted and taking off Aiden, curious as to where the other kid had gone. Crawling vigorously after the other boy he wondered where he was going.
Twirling a string of hair around her finger Aysel considered it. "Do you think it would look good on me? Or maybe red..."
Pala shook his head violently at that.

Aiden had no idea where he was going, other than away and to somewhere where he could cause a big mess, no matter what his silly sister had said. Shito slowly followed along after Korin, curious about the boy. Why wasn't he walking like Shito was? It was much faster, after all.
Ala considered it for a moment, then shrugged. "I dunno... I like your hair like that..." Besides, she added mentally, you're not all grey like me. And grey was such a boring color.
Bob gave a sigh and flopped onto the floor. Well, if the silly ones were just going to talk, he might as well take a nap.

Aysel beamed at the compliment and stared at her cousin. "You know. You'd look really pretty if you wore some make-up. I could teach you how," she offered. "Or we could go downstairs and get a game or something."
Pala moved over to Bob, the talking dragon. Speaking in draconic, tail twitching nervously, he asked Bob to teach him English. It would be so much easier to head off Aysel's fluff headedness if he could talk.
Korin was wondering the same thing. Well, sort of. Why were they up on their two legs like that. Crawing was just as quick and it just looked so darn uncomfortable. Glancing at the wall he noticed he was in the semi-forbidden area of the house and stopped.

Ala scowled at that thought. "Makeup...?" She wrinkled her nose. "I don't think it'd work with all my fur..." Which was partially true, but mostly an excuse not to be the subject of a makeover.
Bob glanced over at Pala. Well, I guess I could teach you... it's not that hard, you just have to listen a lot to what they're saying. The hard part's actually learning how to manage saying it, seeing how understanding it's pretty easy. It's a simple language, really. But look at how silly most of them are. It's no wonder...
Shito nearly ran over Korin when the crawling boy stopped rather suddenly. Blinking, he glanced around to see why the younger boy had stopped. Was there a fun toy nearby?

Aysel pouted. "I guess. Wanna go get a game? We can play cards or something."
Korin pointed at the door. Shaking his head no. Stubbornly he scooted back a space.

Ala cheered up as they passed out of the makeover danger zone. "Sure, cards sounds like fun." Much better than having her cousin try and put makeup on her. Yes, much much better.
Reign had finally caught up to two of the young gods, having done a quick sweep of the house to make sure she knew where a good portion of the stuff was. Finally, she came across one of her brothers and Korin, who was staring at a door. "Shito, Korin... where did Aiden go?"
Shito turned from looking at the door Korin had pointed at to looking up at his frilly sister. Both arms went up automatically in the universal toddler sign for "up".

Aysel led the way downstairs, leaving Pala to his English lessons.
"Reign!" she called out, hunting for the older girl. "Do you wanna play cards with us?"
Korin looked ahead to where Aiden used to be. Sure enough the other godling had dissapeared. Crawling into the darkened doorway after Aiden, Korin watched the shadows carefully.
