No offense is intended to anyone here; I just needed to vent.
I seriously don't know why I bother with this place. (Meaning Gaia, not the Army of Helamen.) The denizens are rude, childish, and heathens -- even rude, childish heathens. I've been abused and sworn at for objecting to a conversation taking place in a game room labeled "quiet please" and been told sweetly that the person kindly wishes me luck in learning tolerance after I quietly, politely and privately objected to her use of the Lord's name in her sig.
The person I joined this place for has since "gone inactive." I'm only hanging around and making money so I can get a piece of art. It's nice art. It'd be fun to have. But I'm thinking it's not worth it.

That is why they made this guild. for people to get away from stuff like that. I don't even post anymore other than in the guilds I'm in. But thats me. It'd be kinda sad if everyone that didn't like what was being said left because they didn't want to deal with it. Then there wouldn't be anyone left.

To be honest, this is the very reason why I had left Gaia in 2004, my old account 'Flamethrowerguy' had been assaulted more times then I ever could imagine. The conduct on the site was atrocious, which ultimately led to my inactivity. I then found that now it is much cleaner and better than it ever has been on this site, thats not to say that there is still room for improvement but I have found that posting in the Guilds is much better then talking on the various threads here. I do Rp often however not on this website, I prefer a more controlled (Or better language and grammar to say) which is not often found on very populated websites ^^. As a guild I think that I can say that we all hope that you decide not to leave, your presence is very much appreciated ^^

It just bothers me... I feel like to have decent, polite and respectful exchanges we have to "ghettoize" ourselves with others of like intent. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Army of Helamen but I feel it's a problem with Gaia community-wise.
Of course, I guess some of it's a problem with all those "liberal, tolerant" types out there who feel free to denigrate those not on their "protected" list. razz
