Okay, so I was playing MMBN5DS with my MMBN3W version in the GBA slot.
I decide to stop playing MM5 and visit MM3.
Guess what?
MY DAMN DATA IS DELETED AND I SPENT SO MUCH TIME GETTING THE DATA LIBRARY AS COMPLETE AS I COULD ALONG WITH GETTING AS FAR AS I COULD AFTER THE GAME DELETED.
So yeah, I'm pretty cheesed off because all of my past data was deleted and I was VERY curious as to what my old folder contained.
Things to talk about: -Games that deleted data mysteriously, w/o GameShark or other cheats used on 'em -Whether or not MMBN5DS steals data from GBA games -How badly the people who translate the game spell "absorb" as "abosorb" -How people who translate games misspell very simple words

When I had a Ps1, I naively bought memory cards made by EB Games...
Maybe it was just some weird case or it was just this store, but every time, after I got to a certain point or some unknown hours pass, my game files on those cards would end up being "corrupted."
Needless to say, I could not get into my saved data file and transferring it had no benefits...
It was VERY annoying as I had bought 2 and they both were faulty. Exchanged both, again, BOTH were FAULTY!!! scream
I had to play through FFVII 3 times to get back to my original point [which was on the final disc before battling Sephiroth with getting all the secrets]. burning_eyes
It was horrible and I lost a large chunk of my lifetime!
NEVER EVER BUY MEMORY CARDS MADE BY EB GAMES!!!
And that concludes my story. 3nodding

Maybe it was b/c you had MMBN3W in the slot when you played the other? Conflict in programming may have arise, but I'm not positive as I do not own a DS. Was MMBN5DS a game you dled onto your DS? If you did, perhaps faulty programming? confused

You might have bought a third-party memory card--- cards that weren't made by Sony. If the card was made by Sony, then it is mad odd--- but I don't think it's because of that. Cheap memory cards are cheap for a reason--- it will be more likely for it to fail than normal Sony memory cards. You just weren't lucky. >_< [I know this because it happened when I played FFVII too with a third-party memory card.

It could be that they conflicted, just like japanese versions of PMD: Blue rescue team, and red, would erase the whole cart of the Red version

I have no problems with a 3rd party card, i use them all the time except for my PS2 games, i got the PS2 one.
I think my PS1 one is by Gamers or something like that, got it for cheap and hasnt' failed me even when it accidentally got wet.

I was thinking that it was some sort of glitch as well, save for the fact that it is PERMANENT!

My little sister once destroyed my FF X game right before the final boss. She pulled out the memory card, and accidently hit the reset button thing when she did. I was so angry. I'll never let her live it down.
