Ok...i belive that kagome rely's on inuyasha way to much. Yes she is a large part of the story line but for the love of pocky! Inuyasha...is completly better ((im not sexist)) ...and well in personal oppion kagomes strength compared to kikyos is...well alittle chibi .... so...Inuyasha is the way to go.... and sadly if i think of any part i do belive that kagome...can hold off a good battle 3nodding

Hmm, difficult to say. They are both in their way strong, weak, endearing, annoying, flawed, and good.
Inuyasha is a bit of an insensitive chunkhead, but in a somewhat loveable way that makes him easy to sympathise withi, like "awww damn, it must hurt to not get that". He's brave, loyal, and he's stubborn, although stubborness can be a good and a bad trait. Even though I consider myself straight, I must admit that Inuyasha is the very epitome of male dreamy hotness.
Kagome can be a bit nasty, but only to Inuyasha. Around everyone else she's diplomatic and a people-pleaser. This can also be viewed as a negative though. Maybe because she's polite to other people all the time, she takes things out against Inuyasha with an extra measure of vehemence. She usually attacks Inuyasha when he's been provoking her, but half the time he's only tactless and rude out of stupidity, because in matters of the heart Inuyasha has the brains of a trout. There are also some other times where she seems to give him sit commands more because she's got some internal issue of her own and he just happens to be handy, and there's no excuse to use physical violence when words will suffice. In many cases when he's overzealous or being unpleasant, she doesn't even try to use verbal communication to stay him.
Kagome has a curious personality. She seems a weak foil, dependent on Inuyasha, even clingy at times, yet she's proven she can hold her own when need be. Heck, Kagome has a downright take-charge type attitude, and she can whip a decent-sized hoard of grunts into shape even when they are enemy combatants. I think she keeps such a tight rein on Inuyasha because in the frightful clashing realities of the fuedal era he's a source of comfort and security. She needs him for psychological protection more than to shield her from physical harm. If you think about the fact that she's still a high school student, dealing with creatures outside of the reality she was raised in on a daily basis, she handles herself pretty well.
All in all, I have to say that I favor Inuyasha. He has a lot of issues that I can understand, and most of his faults I find forgivable. I can't help but slightly demonize Kagome and make Inuyasha a victim.
