The natural-coloured Goddess was hidden in the Haven, where most Gods tread when they did not desire to walk in the mortal world. Her tail kept itself silent, for this day, she wasn't truely in a good mood to even attempt bringing her powers to good use, to linger with the mortals. She was tired, and forgotten.

Her purple-hued wings were folded, and hidden away in shame. She was like a lost pet, returning to her owner's faithful side -- and yet, her owner had vanished without a trace. She had no family, no friends to look up to in a time of need. Her tags of identification around her collar jingled, as she tilted her head to view the clouds surrounding her.

Weighed down by her obedience, she kept still, awaiting for someone to greet her. Maybe today she would be lucky, and find what she'd been looking for all along. ... ... a friend.

He had never walked in this place, or at least he could not remember walking here, his paws followed a world where he would not be feared, why the fates had pulled him here to the domain of the gods he was unsure yet here he walked, his walking corpse of a body moving in an almost natural way in this place of gods.

Unable to fathom why he would come here, why he would fly to the clouds upon useless wings, why he would drag himself through this place to watch thoseof life he was uncertain. Yet here he was facing a world he did not know, he could not fathom, he did not beleive in. Jaddis was a god of mortals, as long as there was famine, as long as there were those upon the earth whom starved he had a reason to exsist, amongst the immortals, he had no place, no reason, so why he trod this strange, fluffy path simply baffled him.

The goddess laying, looking lost not far fromt he path he walked made him pause and ponder once again why the fates had lead him to the clouds this day. The god of famine firmly beleived the fates guided his foot paws where ever he was needed, he could hear the calls of the hungry in his ears, he walked a path toward those creatures, and yet, here he stood amongst the clouds, looking with stoney eyes upon a goddess whom seemed lost, eternally alone, but certainly not starving. "It has been an eternity since I have walked this land." The body, that brittle looking frame heaved a bone rattling breath as he stood there, though those stone grey eyes did not look upon the goddess, the lips did not move to speak, the head did not turn to look upon her to insist that he was infact, speaking to her. His voice simply floated, a disjointed, eerie sound which called upon her ears to reply, though the body, did not seem to mind if she did not.

Her ears twitched as he spoke to her, his voice bringing music to her ears. "So, someone has finally arrived. Hello there, God." Her tail began to wag slightly, as she stood up to come over to him. There was something interesting about this one, as no other God had approached her so randomly and sudden.

"Thank you, for coming. I've been all alone here for quite some time, and I needed someone ... " She stared up at Jaddis, her brown eyes keeping a close watch on what the God would do. "So, what is your domain of? ... ... I have a basic one, for I don't have many powers. I'm the Goddess of Obedience, whether I have you follow me or not, is ... up to me." She grinned slightly, as she circled the male, plotting her next move. If she could get this God to join her, she would no longer be alone, and she'd finally have an owner once more. Or, atleast that was the concept going on in her mind, she had the mind of a domestic mutt.

"Open your eyes goddess what you see is what I am." The voice once again, it drifted upon the breeze a strange bone shivering sound which called throughher ears. He took a breath inwards as she spoke, his chest avity filling with air which made his whole frame rattle uncomfortably. He sat slowly then, his spine ridges seeming like they must break through the skin and fur upon his back so prominant and lacking in any sort of flesh.

"I am Famine, starvation." Perhaps it occured to the large, though exceedingly thin god that she may not grasp what she saw, perhaps in the life of her domain she had never seen a mortal starve to death. It was a long time before he let the breath he had taken out, it escaped with a deathly choke from wheer ever that air went. He quite often forgot to breath, the bodyhad long since gotten used to not doing this useless thing. For some reason, the world expected him to do it though, so occasionally he would remember and oblige in a way.

"I follow only the fates little goddess. I am lead by them alone." He unfolded his wings from his back then, those useless apendages, bat like membranes long since torn away, he kept them only as a reminder to all that he was infact, a god.

"Although I see it, Famine -- I do not look to those things. I look to the simplicity, for I am the Goddess of Obedience. I don't care what a god looks like, as long as they follow me or let me follow them, i'll be the loyal pet i've always been." She observed the way the God breathed, and then let out a less painful deep breath. She honestly felt bad for him, i'm sure he didn't want to be this way, but it was how the world worked.

"Fair enough then, God. I will follow you. I will be your loyal servant, the Goddess that will get others to follow us, to help cleanse the famine from the rouges of the mortal world!" She grinned, and then came closer to his side. "There will be more than the fates to guide you from now on."

Jaddis looked surprised at her actiones, yes, the body acctually reacted to what she did. His brow creased and those half eaten battered ears flickered in a bemused manner. "Why would you follow me goddess? i am a door way to death, you are a being of life.." he did not understand it, obedience, he had an obedience of sorts, he was obedient to his 'life' or what ever it was that he lead so faithfully. "I do not cleanse goddess, I bring." His voice echoed quite loudly then, the screams of those falling slowly to famine, of those dying of starvation ringing in his voice. "I must always go to them, to see them starve, that is what I am."

His body took another slow, rasping breath then, his tattered mane falling limply now that the dissembodied voice had stopped speaking. The body had once again become a lifeless skeleton, able to walk and move, unable to feel.

Why the goddess would follow him obediently made that sharp mind work. Why would she wish to watch him do his job? He was unsure. Why would she wish followers upon him? And why for that matter would she become his follower. Obedience was a strange thing. He had a feeling these questions would be answered in time. He knew, like many domains that one must be true to your calling. It seemed he had gained an obedient servant.

"Tell me your name then goddess so I may own it, if you are to be my follower I must have your name to own." It was an older than time idea, to have the name was to own it. He was starvation, the world owned him and dubbed him jaddis, Famine, however if she was to be his obedient pet he must have her name and own it. Strange how the fates had led him here to this, though he pondered why they had done it.

The young goddess smirked, as he questioned her countless times. "You cleanse the world of the misfortunate. Those who do not have the luck of those who are well-fed and plump. Nothing wrong with that, in my eyes. Although, I always agree with the one who becomes my owner."

She stood up, and began to follow him. "Fair enough. I am Kenzi. My previous owners dubbed me that. I still follow it, it has a nice tone to it."

The second that she spoke her name to the other God, 6 little letters were silently engraved onto her blue collar tag. As the cycle of engraving had completed, the letters spelled out 'J a d d i s'. The God now owned Kenzi, and she would loyally come with him, like the dog she always was. She peered down at her tags with a smile on her maw. "So, I finally found a new owner. I felt strange without a name on my tag."
PostPosted: Sun Mar 11, 2007 12:29 pm

"Kenzi." The name rolled upon the air and passed by her ears, those stone dead eyeswatching her without any ounce of compassion. He had never owned anything excapt for those of famine, though he knew how to own something, a goddess would be no different. He took a slow step forwards then, his body once againtaking onthat of what he was, the god of famine, his frame shaking with every step. "To the earth then, this place of immortality is not mine, I am a god of mortals and always will be." As if he suddenly remembered, he released the breath he had taken much earlier in this conversation, his black, torn, useless wings stretching as he allowed himself to sink through the clouds.

They would have to travel the earth, it was his home, his domain, the place of gods was not for him, though he faintly understood why the fates had lead his paws to this, 'cursed' place, perhaps they had decided he needed a companion, he had never needed one in the millenia he had walked the earth. His memory slowly drifted back to the evenign with Lewatle ont he beach, how it had felt, yes felt, to leave alone on the path of eath again, perhaps this was the fates way of telling him he was not to be alone any more.

With Kenzi's acceptance of what he was, unusual as it felt to the ragged beast to be accepted for who, for what he was, he continued onwards, ready to return to his journey in to the world, to follow his foot paws and to be followed by this unusual, obedient little goddess.

"Yes, my master." She trailed behind the God of Famine quite closely. Her purple-blue toned wings extended out widely, as she flapped them and dove down, following Jaddis. As they passed through the clouds, she viewed the lands closely. It was a strange feeling, but she was glad to have an owner to guide her once more. She had a purpose to be a divine, and meaning to live among the mortals. She now would assist the God in helping the starving creatures of the mortal realm.

It would be quite some fun. A smirk never left her maw. Her collar rang loudly, and proudly. Jaddis' name shined like a brand new penny upon the blue tag, even though the tag was an eternity old. His name made her tag beautiful once more.

The starved body of the god of famine moved strangely throught he clouds, his paws touching the ground where he felt safest, at home, perhaps even alive. the lungs let out a breath of releif as he glanced back for the goddess whom was close to his heels. stoney eyes watched her closely finding his own name engraved upon her tags, he was some what pleased at these markings, though the body never showed any sort of happiness, a smirk pulled at the stitches of his lips making his lips bleed slowly though he did not seem to notice as he took a step in to the mortal lands. He never knew where he was going until he got there. It seemed now though he must travel onwards and to the beyond with a companion, a servant. He pondered even what she would do for him, to him, he had never shown any true compassion for any beast, must he show compassion for this one? he could not touch her with his powers, though perhaps he could at least make herfeel great hunger she could never suffer from starvation, never feel true famine nor carry it with her. She would always be beyond his true reach. He could only feel that wich was his domain.

"It seems we are to travel in to the sun." His voice, forever disjointed called upon her ears once again, as he took each, painful step in to the world he knew so well.

"The sun is a fine place to travel to. It is warm, and large. It sheds light on the pitiful existence of those in the mortal realm." She agreed, and followed behind him, as they came to the ground below. They were no longer in the haven, above the clouds -- thats for sure. She watched him bleed through his stitched mouth as he smiled slightly. So there truly was some emotion deep within him. She smiled with him, and watched him closely. "So, where is our first destination going to be, master?" She was curious, but that also came with her domain.
PostPosted: Sun Mar 11, 2007 1:24 pm

Jaddis' thin, boney head shook slowly. "I do not know, I will know when we get there." His answer was slightly clipped, he never knew exactly where he was going, he followed the sounds of those whom were hungry, zoned in upon their locationa nd his paws took him to their destination. He walked a path he had to, always walking, he never flew though he could, even with those clearly useless wings of his.

He wondered why she did not find it desturbing that he would bleed without feeling it, that simple smile drawing blood from the stitches he could not break. His mouth sown shut at the beginingof time, at the start of the world when starvation first came in to being. He foundit so unusual that she did not fear him, nor loath what he was, she simply accepted it, he supposed that was a part of obedience.

"Fair enough." She turned to Jaddis, in agreement. She didn't want to upset the God, but its not like she could, anyways. She was too committed to her own domain to even try disrupting the balance between a God and his dog.

She flicked her tail about, excitingly, awaiting to see where they were headed. No matter where they went, no matter what they would do -- Kenzi would follow. She didn't mind the horrible things he was to complete, as long as she would always be allowed to follow him, like a tame pet on a leash. It was the lifestyle she admired and desired the most.

The gods drawn head turned to look at her for a moment, those stoney dead eyes watchignher move like a young pup, playful, fun,he still couldnot help but wonder why seh followed him, obedience was one thing but blind obedience. Well, he could learn to have her there, if the fates desired him to have a partner then who was he to dissagree? After all, why else would he be sent to the place of the gods. There was no need for him to tread there, he could not do his job there. There would never be a fasmine amongst the immortals after all.

His paws lead him slowly, like a crippled beast to a copse. He knew faintly that he must rest here and wait. Someone, or soemthign would come that would expect him to be there waiting, a famine creapt accross the land and he had to be there to oversee it.

"You must be silnt and sit with me until the sun sets." stumbling in to the copse the ragged figure of famine sat beneath an acaya tree, his spine peering out prominantly, his ragged head lolling between his shoulder blades, he would have to wait, then tomorrow when the sun rose once again they would continue onwards. Famine was always around, he just had to travel to get to it.

"Alright then, I will obey." She walked beside him, and then laid down, to rest for now. She enjoyed watching the sunsets in silence. They calmed her very much, and made her happy most of the time. Although, there was nothing else in the world that would make her as happy as pleasing her master right about now.

She would just stay, and listen to what he said for now. Tomorrow would be a day of enjoyment, to look forward to.
