That's right. A live action Kiki's Delivery Service is in the works. Possibly produced by Disney. Nothing much else is known about the film except that it will most likely be based more on books than the Miyazaki film.
At the moment I have mixed feelings about the film. I thought the Miyazaki film was brilliant, and the thought of a live action version is kind of strange for me. Personally, If I had to cast someone for Kiki it would like Daveigh Chase or Rachael Hurd Wood. Chase was the voice of Chihiro from Spirted Away, and Lilo from Lilo and Stitch. Wood was Wendy from the live action Peter Pan.

ZOMG! Azumi loves dat movie.
Well, I like all of Miyazaki's flims. But Kiki's Delivery Service is totally cool.

My impression of Kiki was that the story had no point, it flowed like a drama, yet so good.
That's not what I think. It's ust my impression.
What I loved the most about the movie was the setting - An 'older' world where people and witches co-exist.
There was a book version of 'kiki'?
Anyway, I'll be anticipating it.

Yes I heard that a few months ago.
There was supposed to be an American live-action Lupin movie but I wonder if they had trouble getting funding. It was orginally was supposed to come out in 2004, which would have been a good date because it would be the 30 year aniversary of the Japanese live-action flim but if the delay it, they should just wait until 2007 because that will be the 50th aniversary of the franshise.

Is Jason Lee's Lupin's dub voice actor or something? I've been trying to look for info. on that movie but all I found out is it's coming out in 2006.
