Yes, I believe Raito-kun is evil, if he is Kira that is, Kira may believe he is justice, but anyone willing to kill is bad, they are evil, I AM justice.

Light didnt start out evil, he just got too absorbed into his distorted goal of a perfect world. As the story progresses, yes, he does become evil.

I decided on that the Death Note draws people in with it's [pwer. and even the guy who uses the Death Note, if they were kind hearted, turn into a heartless person XD

lol. I don't think Light is actualy evil. as seen when loses his memories of the death note. I agree with some of his views and would also try to kill criminals. although I wouldn't take it as far as raito. Gues sI am evil too.
Anyway I think the deathnote makes hime vil, because power corrupts. and come on the power of a death god? how can it not corrupt.

I don't think Light means to be evil in the beginning, but things got out of control with him and the Death Note later on. I would agree with his efforts on killing criminals. ninja

He does get that evil gleam in his eyes after he meets Misa....you know when he hugs her when they are in his room..

I think its wrong but also good. In the end of Death Note it said that 70% of the worlds crime was gone. 70%! I think thats a good thing. Its only Raitos method of that happening. Im fine with all of the bad guys being killed though its just not right. I guess I'll never really decide.

Everyone here is right because evil and good cannot be decided. Raito is evil if majority of the people think he is because then it is a known thing that he was evil. Raito was good if the majority thinks he is because then also he will be known as that. I don't think we can say he was completely evil or completely good. It's an opinion.
For example, people say killing is a bad thing, but some goverment rules call for execution. Execution is known as justice in the rules, but it is still killing.
Personally, I do not think he is evil. I'm not going to say he was justice, but there's really no reason to fear Kira if you were innocent.
But then think about it...if Kira was real and you didn't know what kind of person L, Kira and the others were, who's side would you take? In that era, if you defied Kira, then you would get killed.

Well...Let's see.
He plans to create a world without the evils of men by killing.
He wants to rule said world through fear.
He destroys everyone in his way.
He has no affection for anyone (not that that plays a major part, but it really gets to me) even though said people are completely devoted to him
He is controlled by his own ambition, and lets nothing else matter in his life.
I do think Kira / Light is evil, but if he did exist, I would probably take his side...But not fanatically.
