Remember, this is probably the MOST important thing a dieter can do:
EAT ENOUGH CALORIES. Yeah, you.
It doesn't matter how much weight you're trying to lose. 1,200 MINIMUM.
If you starve yourself, I know you've heard it plenty, but I have to say it once more: If you starve yourself or eat under 1,200 calories in 24 hours, your body goes into starvation mode.
What exactly happens? - Metabolism practically ceases. - Body breaks down and 'eats' your muscle. - You end up being flabbier once you resume normal eating habits.
Just remember the magic number: 1,200. For some, 1,400-2,000.
Just exercise! You can't lose weight from dieting alone!

*nods* It's true. I remember being younger and thinking if I ate over 1000 calories I wasn't on a "diet" but all I was doing was stalling my body.
I aim for almost 1800 calories in and at least 250 out through exercise.

also if you don't eat enough, all the food that you do eat, instead of going through your system, gets stored for later as FAT!! Why? Because your poor body is freaking out about when it'll get it's next meal.
Ie: the survivor diet, BAD IDEA!
