Kimaria
Chunuka was always full of smiles and it was this expression that played on his features. He was fast growing up and soon he would touch the stage of adolescence. His figure was long, sleek and perfect, his fur glowing beneath the sun. Young muscles rippled beneath his coat and it was clear he had inherited his mother's grace, which was lucky for him.

He had just returned from a chat with his father, who had told him that once he reached adolescence something would awaken in him that would alert him to the true pleasures of being male. He had not been specific but Chunuka was now desperately curious.

As he trotted along beside the waterhole he raised his head and hummed a little tune.

Lightning Shadow X
The dark coated juvenille, younger than he was ofcourse approached the waterhole, her fur so different in contrast with the golden male who she paid no heed too as she approached the glittering pool.
The sun, goddamn the sun, so hot and...stuff.
Dammit it was so hot she couldn't even think coherently!

As her golden eye's looked over the others golden fur, she gave a small snort before moving to lap and drink at the cooling liquid.
A drink was always a good little break from the day's heat.

Kimaria
His eyes caught the dark-pelted female with ease and his eyes brightened. Oh, a girl! He trotted amiably over, pausing a few strides away before craning his head forwards and tipping his ears towards her.

"Hello there!" He blinked, "you have fur of shadows!" He had never seen oine with such a terribly dark pelt before.

Lightning Shadow X
Her bright venom yellow eyes blinked and she raised her head, staring at him for a few moments as her own ears flattened dangerously against her skull.
Was he trying to say something about her pelt?
What was wrong with it!?

"Do I know you, golden male?" She asked as politely as she could while still having a threatening tone upon her voice.

Kimaria
Strange. He had never been greeted like that before. Yet as he stared into hre eyes he wondered if the female had ever smiled before. He tried to hold his own happy expression in place, waving his tail from side to side. "Nope. I'm Chunuka, what's your name?" He enquired, tilting his head slightly.

Weren't Pridelanders supposed to be cheery and bubbly? He'd never met one who had a face like hers!

Lightning Shadow X
She arched a brow at him, her rump lowering so she sat down and relaxed her form infront of him.
Lifting one of her dark red forepaws before starting to leisurely lap at it.
Almost as if she'd paid not attention to him what so ever.

"My name is Zira." She said softly, in an almost cold tone.

She wasn't the typical day to day pridelander, oh no, she was different.

Kimaria
"Well Zira! I think you definately need to smile more. Everyone looks so much prettier when they wear a happy expression, don't you think?" He moved closer and purred. "Plus it can't be nice to feel grumpy." He twitched his whiskers thoughtfully and continued, "why are you umnhappy?"

Lightning Shadow X
The look on her face deffinatly wasn't angry anymore.
It was one of shock and disgust, her muzzle wrinkling back and showing some of her small white fangs.

"Excuse ME!?" She hissed, standing up fully now as she glared at him.
Her whole demeanor changed to that of a dangerous creature coiled and prepared for the attack.

"As it happens I am not GRUMPY I just think it hurts to SMILE! Especially if it pleases such a jerk like you!!"

Kimaria
Her words seemed to have physically touched him and the golden boy took a step back. His ears flicked back and his blue eyes widened. In fact he looked quiet shocked himself. No stranger had ever spoken to him this way before.

For a moment he was speechless, his mind running over all his father's techniques. He had never come across a female like this before!

"But it doesn't hurt to smile. Not at all!" And then he pouted slightly, "and how do you know I'm a jerk? I only wanted to cheer you up you know."

Lightning Shadow X
Her yellow eye's narrowed, in the back of her mind she was SO pleased!
She could see how shocked he was and that shock factor had boosted her ego quite a bit!
But she still kept her cold, angered featured face on as she stood there.
Yellow eyes staring at him.

"Well?" She asked, expecting him to atleast answer her earlier retort.

Kimaria
"Well what?" He replied almost sourly, "are you just mad because you don't have any friends? Let me tell you, you'd have a lot more company if you smiled." He flicked his tail. "You're a pretty girll too, why ruin beauty with a frown?"

Lightning Shadow X
She blinked and growled slightly before moving to walk away from him, only to jump on a rock in the middle of the watering hole.

"My family is all the company I need!" She stated quite frankly, golden eye's watching him.

"And beauty isn't everything."

Kimaria
"Won't that be a little lonely? What happens when your siblings make friends and leave you to go play with them? What then? Come on now Zira, let me be your friend!" He laughed, moving to the edge of the water to snuffle noisily at her.

"No it isn't everything, but if you have it why not embrace it? You are beautiful!"

Lightning Shadow X
She blinked, arching a brow at him before placing her tail tip into the water.
Seeming so cold and aloof for someone so young.
However suddenly, a very evil smirk laced her maw as her tail was whipped out of the water letting a spray of liquid head towards him.
Hopefully that would cool him down.
