From Priyal the two adventurers then went on their way to find the next destination. Emberfall, where it was rumoured that the fire demon Ifreet reside. The journey proved uncomfortable; for Squall (who wears black) and Lytharien (who is more adapt to the forest). When the duo finally reached the temple, (They decided that that would be their first destination) both of them were hot and weary. Things turned even hotter when...

"Holy green growing moss! We have to climb that?" Lytharien exclaimed in shock as a steep valcano came into sight within the temple.

"Looks like it," replied Squall as he examined the valcano they had to climb. "Ifreet is probably up there,"

"In that case. Race you there Squall!" Lytharien said bounding lightly up. "Once again, the first to place the finishing blow on Ifreet shall win!"

"Okay,"

Reaching the top Lytharien gleefully ran into the only room located high on the valcano's peak. Stepping inside, the elf was instantly blasted with a blow of hot air. Awaiting the elf on the temple's floor was Ifreet. "Someone has finally decided to challenge me," the demon remarked eyeing the elf. "But, only one of you?"

"Another is coming fire demon Ifreet," Lytharien replied stringing his bow. "But I shall have the privilage of going first,"

"It is well," replied Ifreet nodding. "Show me what you've got,"

"As you wish," said Lytharien releasing his arrow.

Parrying the blow the demon then pushed the human back with one swift motion. "Not bad for a human but, it's lacking in power. Show me something impressive,"

"Come on Squall! You can do it!" Lytharien cheered giving his friend a 'moral support'.

Squall merely nodded before launching his gunblade at the demon once more. Swing his blade the young man brought it down onto the fire demon.

"That tickles!" Ifreet bellowed laughing. "But I must admit, it's definitely something new. Have you anything else to show me human? Or shall I start getting serious?"

Squall narrowed his eyes at the laughing figure. Focusing, he then made another attempt the topple the demon.

The attack only grazed the side of the demon's stomach before Ifreet pushed the young man back. " Do not be so hasty human. We have all the time we need,"

Stumbling at the impact of Ifreet's push Squall eyed the demon angrily. Why was he unable to win this demon? Pursing his lips Squall then rushed forward once more.

Lytharien watched the battle with interest. "Come on Squall! I'm getting thirsty over here!"

The last attack came on hard. Efreet was knocked backwards a few steps from the impact of Squall's gunblade. "Stop. I am finally impress human. You shall have my blessing,"

Squall stood up and eyed the demon wearily. "Thank you," Squall said nodding.

"Way to go Squall! You have won," saif Lytharien running up to meet his friend. " I thought you were gonna lose back there,"

"Thanks alot, " muttered Squall at Lytharien's remark. "Let's go back to Emberfall and find a place to rest,"

"You betcha," replied Lytharien already making his way down the volcano. "Thank you for your blessings Efreet,"

"You are welcome," the demon replied disappearing into fire. " I look forward to a rematch anytime you want,"

The beast would arise from its sedentary state, and dodge the ball of water soaring at him with ease. Spewing flames from his putrid and beastly mouth, he shouted out to Genevieve. "Who are you to challenge me?! Stupid horse!" He had stricken a nerve there. Genevieves eyes lit up and an aura burst out from her body, dispelling the oncoming flames as she reached into her pouch. Pulling out four fishy fins, they all infused into her hands.

"Who you callin horse..ugly face!" She thrust her hands forward, entering into flight whilst shooting two nice sized blasts of water at Efreet. Lets see him deal with that! she thought, soaring through the air.

The fire demon seemed to get past the spire, missing it by a hair. Dammit dammit dammit Genevieve thought to herself. What could she be doing wrong? She didnt know, but she had to persevere. Pulling two more charms out of her pouch, randomly, she infused them into her hands. Seemingly, they were two harpy feathers, which would send a blast of air towards Efreet.
