Jazz stared out at the open sea as the salty breeze blew through his mane. He smiled as he remembered visiting here with his family. It had been a while since he had been back and was thankful for the chance. He had been so busy with caring for his son that he had almost forgotten what it was like to wonder off on his own. Today Rhapsoday was out playing about with his grandmother watching over him. He really was glad she was there to help him out, otherwise he would have gone crazy long ago! The big red stallion breathed in deeply and let out a great sigh and watched as the waves splashed upon the shore.

Esha trotted along the loose sand, her steps light and careful as the earth shifted beneath her. But her lavender eyes gazed out at the sea. She slowed to a walk after a moment, turning her head to face the water. Her ears flicked back with gentle content as the ocean breeze moved through her multi-hued mane, moving her bangs into her face. Aah, that salty scent! It had been a whiel since she had come to the shore, and it was a pleasent memory she hadn't vanished. But the reality was far sweeter. What a wonderful way to start the day. She tossed her head to clear her vision and started off again, this time at a leisurely walk.

Jazz tossed his head sending his curls into the wind and flicked his tail. It was sure a good start to a beautiful day. With a sudden burst of energy he bucked back onto his hind legs and gave a great whinny into the wind before taking off at a jog down the beach. It had been a while she he exercised and his legs protested a bit at the sudden movement but it was too good of a day not to go for a small run. He tossed his mane again to get the thick curls out of his eyes so he could see where he was going.

Esha gently flicked her ear to the side as a whinny cut through the air. Her eyes turned, though her head remanded facing the sea, looking out down the shoreline. Suddenly she could see a shape moving along at a brisk pace. She finally turned her head, letting out a small breath through her nose as her curiousity peeked. Mm...was someone coming? The wind blew again, tossing her tail and mane to the side, her bangs sliding across her face. It looked like she was goingn to have company.

As he ran down the beach he could faintly see a pink figure coming into view. At first he thought that his son had followed him and wondered away from his grandmother. But as he got closer he could tell the figure was adult and a mare by her scent. He slowed his pace not wanting to spook her and called out to her. "Ello!"

Esha smiled warmly as he drew near, her ears perking forward smoothly. She had been right, and gladly so. Why enjoy the scenery alone when you could do it with someone else? She shook her head slightly to clear her eyes and lifted her head to give a friendly whicker, "Hello yourself!" Her tone was full of mirth and rang like a low toned bell, a sweet alto. She took a few steps forward at a nice, easy walk, going to meet him.

Jazz returned the mares smile and slowed his pace even more to a smooth and steady trot before stopping when he came within a few feet. "Wonderful day to be at the beach, wouldn't you say?" he said cheerfully to her. She must have been here for that same reason that he was. Her voice was very joyous and calming like the waves and her color reminded him of his son, though she was a slight shade darker.

"I would! Though you did say it first," Esha whickered with a grin and a warm laugh. She tossed her head to the side slightly, flicking the hair out of her vision as she looked at him. It was wonderful to have company, especially on such a beautiful day. Though Esha enjoyed herself no matter the situation-she just prefered to be social. It was far more fun, right? "I'm Esha," she said nodding her head.

"So I did!" he said with a chuckle, flicking his tail in delight. "I'm Jazz. It is a pleasure to meet you, Esha." he replied with a slight bow, being polite as he had been taught. "So what brings you all the way out here, besides the wonderful weather?" he said hoping he wasn't intruding on anything.

"And the same for you," she whickered softly with a smile. Soquili around here were so polite! In every meeting she seemed to be bowed to or some such thing. She had nothing against it, she just found it interesting. Life was to be enjoyed, right? Even the tiniest little things deserved noticing. "Oh...no real reason. I just love to move around and I ended up here by the sea," she replied, casting her bright gaze out at the waves, "What about you?"

"I basically just came out here for some fresh air. My family was here a while ago and so I felt the need to visit it again." he said and gave her a cheerful smile.
(Sorry for the lack of a post. sweatdrop Can't think of much tonight.))

"I see," Esha replied with a smile. So, the sea had sentimental value to him. It was always wonderful to have things that reminded you of good times and of those you cared about. Because while days changed as time moved on, memories remained. "Does your family reside somewhere else now?" She questioned with warm curiousity. She didn't have any imediate family really...but she always loved to see the ties that others seem to have.

"We never really lived here on the beach, but my mother and I live near the river and water has always been something my family has been fond of for some odd reason." he said with a chuckle. For as long as he could remember, his mother and him had always taken walks together along the river's banks and his fondest memories of his father involved the river as well. It was like the family symbol. "Do you live close to here?" he asked curiously.
