Getting a bit off topic... whee
But Visual Samples Help out a Lot, we can do Draw Overs if need be, so try to post a sample.
Drawing males, in general, like stated before, are less curvy, and tend to advoid any S-shaped stances. Granted, they don't have a L shape either.

<3! ~
Well, guys do tend to be very un-curvy and stuff.
But if you take a look at shoujo, they break those rules. Cx
What you need to remember is that you have to give them a more pronounced chin; that is -- make a bigger chin. Their eyes tend to be narrower. But then -- that rule isn't followed in shoujo either. XD
Guys in anime also have longer legs. I don't know how that works, but that's why most of them are hecka tall.
And then they also have more muscle definition. They have shaped limbs. They aren't as fluid as females.
I do suggest that if you have trouble drawing limbs, that you look up some body references and body tutorials on deviantart.com. C:

*walks in* Hiya!
" reading manga with boys in them really helps! it did for me whee although sometimes the boy characters ARE girly. unless your talking about like Bishounens,((Sorry I dunno how to spell that really but you know what Im talking about right??)) THEN you have to really know the shape of guy character! not too curved, more like squared, really tall, not short, and etc. sorry I hope that didnt sound too confusing 0.o "
Help me get my Kistune Mask?

also, guys have thicker and longer mouths. Not so much like the v shaped mouths girls have. Guys also have thicker legs and arms and their waist goes down farther than girls. Any help?

Just a few things that haven't been mentioned do far, mainly on detailing the face... subtle little things can really make guys look... well, like guys.
Eyebrows: Male eyebrows are almost always thicker than females. They also start closer together... there are significantly more men with the beginnings of a unibrow than women! XD
Nose: As with pretty much all the features on the face, the male nose is usually wider and more blocky looking than their female counterparts.
Hairline: Mens' hairline's are usually further up than womens', ie men have larger foreheads. This is also emphasised by women usually having longer fringes than guys. Surprisingly, girls often have longer 'sideburns' than men. Not the full beardy sideburns, just the bits of hair that grow down in front of your ears. Mean usually shave these higher because women (usually) don't have to shave at all.
Neck: Mens' necks appear shorter and thicker because Men have wider shoulders and thicker collar bones.
But as Phere said, it's easier to teach by example... so stick up images of your men and see what AFL can do! XD
