Okay, so I've got this horrible draft in my living room. See, there's a window in the walk-in closet in here, and it's broken! Hard to fix, because it's stained-glass, and I can't just take it out, because you don't go around having no windows in my neighborhood. ninja
Yeah, so anyway, it's pretty cold. I didn't realize just how cold it was until yesterday when I moved my desk from the area near the windows (which are drafty enough anyway) to the wall near the closet.
-freezes proverbial (and almost literal) a** off-
Now I have a cold, sneezes, sniffles and all. stressed Anyway, This morning, I decided I'd hang a blanket over the closet door. I figure winter's about over, and that will do until I can really get in there and clean, and do something about the window (there's a longer story about how/why my mom's crap is packed into a lot of my closets...).
But now it looks like my wall is breathing! O.o Every time the wind blows outside, the blanket poofs out, and sucks back in. It's really creepy, and I'm sitting right next to it! gonk And I'm typing, and the blanket-wall is "breathing", and it's ... scary!! crying I don't think I'll sit in here at night.
I guess no more scary movies either until the warm weather hits and I can take that blankie down.

I'm sorry. The way you describe the blanket, is a little creepy.

Wow. Normally I wouldn't be creeped out by a blanket like that, but your description gave me goosebumps.
If it were me, I would just staple it down until it can't move anymore. I know.. who in their right mind would staple a blanket to the door? Well, me! xd
In the summer time I staple my curtains open because I'm tired of buying tie backs (and they always disappear) and in the winter? I staple them closed!
The stapler is the handy-dandy tool of many uses!

It is spooky! And the blanket has stripes, too, so you can even see the little movements, especially since I'm sitting about 3 feet away from it sweatdrop I'm gonna use my laptop at night, at least for this week, since it's gonna be below 30 degrees and breezy all week.
Ama, that's a great idea! But... The only thing I didn't get at Staples when I was there on Sunday was, ironically, staples.

Insulation. 3nodding He had to break our own window a few months ago to get back into our house ((we had all forgotten our keys)) and so we had a broken window in the middle of winter. xD We covered it with insulation and taped it there. Buuut, we used half a roll of masking tape ((I think that what it was)) just to keep it there. It helps, though. It never moves and it keeps our kitchen nice and toasty!
...WHY is this keyboard greasy?! *at the library*
