Caspian was crawling around on his hands and knees, patting at insects that crawled around the river's bank. He was seemingly unattended, and the whole premise of leaving a baby out here in the wilderness - even an only-partially-visible baby - was sheer madness. With all the fierce creatures that would like to take a bite of infant, the boy was certainly in constant danger. Yet, he didn't seem worried, and was able to continue playing with the bugs and grass as he went along the riverbank. Before too terribly long, however, he grew tired, and had to curl up somewhere. He situated himself in a grass clump a little ways off from the riverbank, and closed hie eyes - intending to fall asleep.

She'd been following the mental scent of an Illusionary for maybe thirty five point seven minutes now. Perhaps it did seem to be bonded, but she wanted to confirm it- and wouldn't Grandma be angry at the mess that had been made of her white dress?

Aure stopped just a little bit away from the Oracle. "And where is your Illusionist?" She crouched a few feet away from the clump of grass. "Have you eaten him, little one?"

Caspian blinked a bit, and 'sat' - if something translucent could sit - on the ground nearby the other Illusionary. He made a 'goo' noise with his mouth open, and quickly put the necklace he was wearing into it, starting to chew. There was echoing laughter from somewhere. Not from the child - and it was not malicious in the least. The baby HAD been sleeping, but being talked to had woken him, and he was more than ready to play now. Please please play? Would she? Who knew.

She sighed. "Of course I'll play," Aure said, though she was wondering how to do that as she wiggled her fingers at him in a 'come-hither' gesture. Mud from recent rains seeped up the hem of her dress when she settled into place across from the baby. "Please tell me you didn't eat your guardian, though. That's a very very bad idea."

"Agah." He said, and nodded in a decisive manner. What exactly this was supposed to mean, there was no telling. He crawled to his feet, and promptly fell back on his bottom again. He mrrred softly, and tried again. This time, the river itself extended a tendril of water to wrap around his waist, and hold him up. Now that was something one didn't usually see every day.

"Alright." She smiled and scooted closer to the semipresent baby. "Come here, little one. I won't hurt you, promise." Not until you're older. And only then if you deserve it. Aure wiggled her fingers again and tried to coax the little boy forward.

"What's your name, hunh? I'm Aure."

Caspian crept forward, and the tendril of water let go, letting him easily back onto his hands and knees so that he was crawling towards Aurelius. When he arrived at her feet, he looked up, and lifted his amulet up to his mouth again, chewing. "Gah-aaahgah."

((Mind if I join?))

Veive kicked a stone as she passed, moving through the wild looking for something that would be able to hold her attention. She heard the sound of a stream and possibly voices so she made her way in that direction. Peeking from around a tree she noticed an oracle that seemed to have some control over water, much like she did, and a girl who looked very familiar...oh, it was that blonde girl she mad met awhile ago when she had only been a baby. They hadn't really gotten along from what she could tell, but she was older now. Older even then Veive. She looked different now, nicer and more interesting. Veive's tail swished curiously as she watched the two, wanting to know what was going on.

Aure sighed. Apparently there was no name coming out of this little baby. "Alright, alright," she said, though a certain opaqueness had fallen over her eyes. "So you don't want to talk to me. Fiiiiiiine."

Veive lost interest quickly, especially once she heard the girl speak. It was definatly the girl from earlier and she had no interest in ruining her day, even if she did look slightly nicer now. Watching for one more moment, she decided that she would have to meet that other illusion at some point, but not with Aure around, and turned to walk away.

"Bye, Veive," she said in a slightly offhand tone as she stared down at Caspian. "See you around."

Veive's tail straightened in annoyance as she turned to face Aure. So she hadn't gone unnoticed. Well, at least the girl wasn't annoying and stupid. Looking over her shoulder she narrowed her eyes slightly and smiled. "See you around Aurelius..." she said with a half smirk before starting to walk away again. That girl really annoyed her!!!

Caspian cooed a bit, and curled close to her leg. He seemed friendly enough as it was - but still wasn't able to talk in more than baby-language. A tendril of water started snaking towards the baby. It pulled the amulet out of his mouth, and stroked his hair before retreating into the place from where it had sprung. Something odd was going on here.

Aure quirked an eyebrow at the water and calmly picked up Caspian. She made her way through the muck to the riverbank, all the while keeping the baby quite close to her. Once she stood ankle-deep in the suspicious, moving water, she held the child at arm's length at let go. If nothing happened, she'd pick him up again, but she really didn't think that'd be what happened... not at all.

The water rose to catch him, and cradled him as though a father or mother would. FROM said water formed a glaring figure. The tendrils of water became the being's arms, and the rest of him grew from there. He stroked Capsian's hair, and cooed to him.

"What is the big idea of dropping my child!?"
