Where is she? Is she alright? Lord? Pride? No...... She's important right now. Where is she? Where did she go? Is she..... Safe? Blur of dark red and black zoomed over the savanna, dirt picking up behind the speeding body of muscle and power. His fur reeked of dirt and smoke, his breath was short and his dull green eyes still stinging from the smoke and fire that caught up from whiles ago. The conversation that carried after..... it jolted his mind back to the female companion that had stuck with him this far. They had seperated, but as the fire surrounded the group of lions, she was on his mind. He knew that she didn't do well alone, to him, it seemed like she relied on him a lot almost needed him. What if she followed him and was caught in the fire? He promised that he'd take her somewhere safe..... a pride.... that gave stability and protection, that is what she wanted right? Oh god....where was she?
Trigger roared out calling out her name hopping that she was somewhere, alive. Where did she go.... Where-wait, why did he think about her so much? Geez, he tried to be nice to her and yet she had the nerve to drop an egg on him. What the hell...... but stull... he promised. He was not gonna go back on his word. He promised that he would take her someplace safe. And once place he knew that was was that pride..... Lord.... that is what they wanted him to be, a lord? Is that like....a King? Arg, so ******** confusing..... but right now, he had to find that stubborn girl.
Should he try to be nice to her or.... will she go on another temper and piss him off? First things first, find her and make sure she was safe. The ex-Firekin roared out her name once more.
"MWANA!"

Why was the world against her?
A sigh escaped her maw as she peered at the world sideways, her head resting against the ground. She was so tired. She honestly didn't feel like doing anything anymore. After about a day on her own she had become lonesome and exaughsted. And of course, that hadn't improved as time wore on. She didn't like being on her own. And now look at what a mess she had become. She felt so dirty and tired and just everything felt wrong.
And it hadn't helped there had been a fire not long ago. What a mess that had been to get away from. It had only left her more ragged and heartsick. She missed her sisters. She even missed that strange brute who had abandoned her. Once again life was showing her that is was completely and utterly unfair.

Mwana, that prissy little princess would probably hide up in a tree if she was given the choice. Whenever he was with her, she was either up in a tree or by his side. Since being by his side was not an option, she must have been up in a tree somewhere.... he knew she could not take care of herself for long periods of time but he had to find her. She could take care of herself, she hunted for her sisters, where'd so go? There are just too many trees in these lands, but which one held the smaller lioness?
His eyes began to grow thinner and thinner at the thought of how she was then. They had their differences and he did somewhat liked her, regardless for her feelings for him, but she still stayed with him this long. Only two others have in his life that are alive, Ashki and Ani. He had a promise and yet he left her alone because of a small accident. She was probably hurt, starved, or worse. Where was she....
"Mwana, answer me!"
The Firekin roared again, calling out to the female again. Where the hell was she. His eyes narrowed on a tree as he can feel his blood boil, the urge to hurt and inflict pain. With a swing of his paw the acacia nearly fell over, a large piece of it splintered off as the lion growled louder. His Firekin instincts were taking over again.

What was that sound?
Mwana moaned, covering her face with a paw. Whatever it was, it needed to go away and leave her alone. Couldn't anyone be miserable in peace anymore? She wanted to wallow in self-pity, thank you very much! It was the next best thing to complaining verbally to someone. And since no one else was around...this was her only option.
At least it was until she heard the call more clearly. Mwana? But...that was her. She sat straight up, her wavy and mused "mane" falling in her face. Now Mwana was a very proud lioness, being born and bred a princess. But she didn't act so much like one now. She darted across the landscape, towards the sound that had called her. She was desperate, she had hit rock bottom. She wanted to be with someone, whether it be her sisters or Trigger or someone else! She just didn't want to be alone anymore. "Hello?!" she mewled, her voice raw.

Trigger's ears perked up as his pace picked up rapidly, a voice. Someone has replied to his call, was it her? He was calling her name, would there be anyone else with her name? His pace quickened until her colors came into view. It was a huge relief to see that she was fine, no burns, no scorch marks, she was fine. Or at least, on the outward appearance.
"Mwana, there you are...."
Trigger sighed as he slowed down slowly before her. He gave a long breath and smiled softly. He was still concerned for her, throughout the entire fire, he feared that she might have gotten herself caught up in it looking for him. But it seems she was alright. The male took it upon himself to look her over carefully. He circled her looking over her body and fur, after confirming she was alright, he stopped before her.
".... I was worried about you..... at least you are alright."

Mwana could only gape in silence as he came to meet her. For a small moment it was a relief to see someone, anyone, again. Especially one who had been "worried" about her. But then her nerves, which had been so on edge of late, snapped. Her body quivered and her ears pinned back, hot tears stinging at her eyes. "I'm not alright!" she shrieked, her body arching and her body shaking. She was a mess. "Y-you abandoned me! How could you? You promised!" What gave him the nerve to think it was ok to just leave like that? To drop her and then just come back? It wasn't right! It wasn't fair.

Trigger growled and quickly moved toward her, he attempted to wrap his paws around her, but leaving them apart and a space between them. He would not try to hold her unless she wanted to, by moving toward him it would mean so. He sighed again and his ears buried themselves into his dark mane. His eyes seemed half-lidded in fact, he was looking down feeling rather bad for what he did. Though it was she who started it, he felt bad that he left her alone knowing that she would not fair too well alone.
"I'm.... sorry.... I shouldn't have left you like that. I was just..... I was just mad."
He sighed again as his shoulders sagged down. He was feeling bad about now....

It was honestly the strangest thing Mwana had ever experienced. No one had ever, ever reacted to her tantrums in such a way, especially not him. Back home or with her sisters they had given her looks of disapproval or simply ignored her. They had hardly done anything close to comforting or apollogizing. She stared at him, as if perhaps his words were a trick-something to make her shut up, something to make her forget. She didn't know. It had never happened before. She sniffled, blinking at her tear-blurred eyes, "Y-you could have come back...you left me all alone and there was a fire!" Her voice was less angry and more remorseful now, interupted by a hic-up or two. Everything had been an emotional rollarcoaster. She wasn't meant to live alone, not a former princess like herself. She couldn't handle it, not emotionally. It just...didn't work.

Trigger gave a relieved sigh as his paws wrapped around her shoulders, holding her softly. So she knew of the fire, but why was she crying? Was there a reason for her to? No matter, he held her regardless and tried to comfort her the best he could. He could not cry..... he had cried far too much in his youth that there was just nothing left to shed. He held her with a woeful expression though she cannot see.
"I was just mad and.... when I'm mad, I could hurt you.... you were better off alone than with me when I am mad."
He whispered. He knew his own problems, his berserk. He had always called it when it his Firekin influenced. It seemed like whenever he got mad, beyond a point of just no reasoning, he would just rampage for a long while before calming down, but it just left some good destrucion in his wake. He knew about it and he could feel it at times. But what he feared was that he might hurt those he held close..... Mwana was one of them.
"The fire.... I was there. I saw it, I was worried that you might've have gotten into it. I thought you might have followed me and just.... on the brighter side, everyone's alright. If it weren't for those other lions, I might've have died...."

"T-that's not an excuse!...I don't like being alone..." she mumbled bitterly. She still felt angry and upset and a swirl of all sorts of negative emotions. She couldn't help it, the last few days had been living hell and she just couldn't forget that. She didn't understand his fury or the danger. All she understood was her own suffering and how she never wanted that to happen again. Ever. "I'm not ok, I'm a mess..." she grumbled, shaking her head and sniffing, "...what lions...?" Not that...she even really cared right now. Definately a one-track mind sort of situation here.

The Firekin nudged her softly, trying to get her to lay down. No matter where they were, as long as he was around, she was safe. At least from anyone wanting to harm them. He sighed and licked at her fur.
"Mwana, you look fine to me. You don't look like a mess."
A compliment to try to get her to feel better. Mwana was a complicated female, she was used to the high life and suppose that is how that would make her feel better. Treat her like a princess. He nuzzled her and looked around to see if any of those lions have followed him. Then again, he had ran off shortly after..... well, the group talked.
"Just a group of lions, wanted to started a pride..... I dunno, honestly. A strange idea though, but it sounded like a good idea. Who knows, if we joined it would mean that you would get that stability that you always wanted.... and you would be safe. I promised I'd take you somewhere safe...."

"You're such a liar," She mused with a sigh, though she sounded a little more normal. No matter what she said, it had helped a little, "My fur is in tangles and caked in mud-not fine. Awful." She settled down on the ground as he had suggested through body language, for she was tired. She had been out of energy from the start-and her rant and sapped what little remained. But her mind remained sharp, even in such a situation. Her ears had perked at "pride" and she had listened carefully from there. A new pride? It was definately worth investigation. Perhaps she could wiggle her way into a position of power, as long as the pride didn't seem like it was too thin to amount to anything. "Would you tell me more about it...?" she asked, sounding a little sweeter, "I...want to join a place but...I don't want to join one that will make me...unhappy or toss me around or anything." She'd had enough of that.

Trigger laid down carefully beside her, almost curling around her protectively.
"Well, from what I could remember, they talked about getting together for something."
Trigger shrugged and began to lick at her fur, cleaning it the best to his ability. Taking out the chunks of dried mud where he could, he can stand the taste.... at least until he gets some meat into his belly or water to wash out the taste of it. He stayed close and tried to make her feel better anyway he could.
"....They asked me to join them for something."
he whispered as he went back to cleaning her.

Mwana curled against him, letting him clean her. It certainly made her feel better. For she always felt horrible when dirty, being as vein as she was, and not having to do it herself and there-for getting gunk on her tongue was comforting. It also felt wonderful physically, just as one might enjoy a breeze through ones mane, though she wouldn't truely acknowledge so simple a feeling. She nodded her head a little as she listened. Good, good, sounded like plenty of opertunities to...wait, hm? She cocked her head, peering at him. Leader? Of one of the small factions...? She let her eyes slide shut lazily, beginning to purr gently as if in response to his grooming. She bottled her excitement, using all her knowledge of lady poise to act calm. "It's sounds wonderful...very structured. I like that." She then leaned against him a little, letting out a small, more contented breath, "And they want you to be a leader? Congratulacions. That's wonderful."

He sighed between his licks and nuzzled up her neck.
"Well, you seem a lot calmer about this. It seems rather pointless.... I don't think I should even bother. This something seems to need someone strong and can actually do something. Besides, if I was a join them, what about you? What do you do?"
He paused and just shook his head. What a mess, what would have happened if he had never met her? This, all of his, would have never happened. He would not be here with her, she would still be with her sisters.
"I can take you to them and leave you there, you'd be safe there and in a stable surrounding, that's what you wanted right?"
