This sticky was originally written by B-a-n-e (aka ThePompusMan), but deleting a spam post in the thread somehow deleted the entire thread. Hence, this tediously reproduced facsimile.

Hi. Failure to comply with these rules will result in banning from this guild. Yay!

1. NO FLAMING. EVER. If you flame, I keeeeeel you.

2. If you post a story/poem/fanfiction here and someone gives you a really harsh review: live with it. Or, in your first post, say how harsh you want the reviews to be.

3. No bumping allowed.

4. Don't post/do anything in here that breaks Gaian rules. If you do, the guild gets closed. You horrid people.

5. Yes, OOC threads are allowed, but try to keep them to a minimum.

6. There is no rule 6.

7. Be respectful at all times. If someone flames you, instead of flaming them back you should take the high ground and just wait for them to be banned for violating rule #1.

8. Got a problem with someone else? Take it to PM.

9. Netspeak/chatspeak...you may use it. Now, this is probably going to be an unpopular rule, but as long as you make some sense, there's no problem with netspeak/chatspeak.

10. If you ask to become a mod, I will smite you. Our mods have been chosen, thank you very much.

11. Remember, harsh reviews do not equal flames.

There's no need. If they post a story or poem in pink or something just tell people you can't read it and ask them to change it. If they make a regular post in pink, just highlight it with your mouse. People have every right to use silly colours when they're posting, just as you can use small font.

I was wondering...should we try to get some kind of policy up where if you post a piece of writing, you should try to also comment on others (I know it should be common sense, but this IS Gaia after all). Maybe not a rule, but sort of a "common courtesy" policy that is just made note of so people'd be aware of it.

I like that idea but I don't think I can add any rules/policies until I speak with Bane, and, because he's currently on a three week vacation, that might be tricky. Hopefully I'll see him online before then and I'll mention this.

s beside every post? For some reason, they seem to have a tendencey to delete the entire topic, and not just the post they are beside.

If you need to delete a post (and not the thread/topic), edit the post. Below the checkbox marked "Notify me when a reply is posted," is a checkbox marked "Delete this post" (or similar). Check that box, and hit submit.

Err, nevermind that. That seems to delete entire topics too.

If it comes to it, I think I'll just edit the offending posts with a Note from your friendly, neighborhood CW crewmember, finalrain. Honestly, I hope it doesn't come to that any time soon.

I just hit my back button, and was pleasantly surprised to find the page didn't refresh. I had to piece the posts back together in notepad though. gonk Oh well.

Actually, You were just a victim of the Sticky/Announcement bug. You can delete a post in a regular thread no problem. But, sometimes in a Sticky/Annoucement, you kill the whole thread.

I modified rule ten. I liked the original rule, but as you said, it was confusing when it appears that I said it. It should be less confusing now.

For anyone who may have missed it: monkeychic18 started a thread entitled "what's your favorite author's?" (or something like that). I deleted it because we already had a thread on that very topic (Who is your writer-idol?).
