Eirwyn asked about the new items so i thought i'd start a thread so everyone can comment..

when i first saw the prices i nearly died! even though the announcement said they were expensive i certainly wasn't expecting anything quite THAT exorbitant!

the items are nice, but not that nice! for that sort of price i'd expect something incredibly fancy, and this stuff just isn't up to scratch, i think they should have set the preices at half what they are.

i like my fan but buying it completely cleared this account out, none of the others are likely to be getting anything ninja

no, i don't even pretend to understand how that is supposed to work!

i understand the need for a gold sink, but they have over priced these items, from a response that Juno made in SF i think they realise that too.
on the other hand, if people are willing to pay these prices then who am i to complain? at least they can quest for these items secure in the knowledge that the price wont go up but i still don't think they're worth it.

we know what great work the artists on this site are capable of, there could have been some exquisite detailing on these items, lace and strings of pearls and embroidery and so on.
the skirt in particular is a let down, it's just big with bows on neutral
and the coat, it's just not DANDY enough, the cut is too mean, i tried it on jelly and it made her look like a town crier mad

i was hoping for something a little more dapper for my male mule sad

I find the items a bit disappointing for what they are meant to represent, lacking in detail and also, as you've said, a bit flat and one-dimensional - almost clunky - and the colours are so bright, lacking in shading or depth. Some of the items here are amazing in their detailed work and creativity, it's a great pity that this, their biggest set ever, as they're saying it is, couldn't have shown some of that. I've previewed a couple of items, but the prices are so steep, my accounts would be cleaned out and wouldn't even have anything like one complete outfit between them... rolleyes As for questing for these... I don't think I could motivate myself for that. The quality just isn't there. neutral

I saw someone in SF all ready for St. Patrick's Day wearing the green coat & waistcoat with green pants & the laurels w/wings (like I have at the moment). Looked really cool!
