biggrin aemon Winters the Person:

Name: Daemon Winters
Race: Human... Stuck in a sword.
Age: 32 (when he disappeared now would be 48? )
Occupation: Freelance Scholar (part time troublemaker)

Likes: His children and wife, clear days, books, love stories (he’s a sucker for them), tea time, and roses
Dislikes: Thunder, oceans (he has a phobia about oceans), wars, fighting and eggplant
Hobbies: Books (he’s a near bibliophile), violin, languages (especially dead ones), and collecting magical objects

Appearance:
Daemon is average height for a human (standing around 5”10 or around there), and average built, though he maybe considered a bit lanky to some, it’s probably the clothes he wears. His hair is a constantly messy (much to his wife’s dismay) mop of blond hair, which he tries to comb into somewhat decent standards. Unfortunately those blue eyes of his have been wrecked from years of studying books, so now are helped along by his golden rimmed specs, which he tends to misplace constantly. He likes to wear slacks and shirts with nice vests or blazers. He looks often like those old British scholars; he even has a pocket watch chain hanging out of his pocket even though the ‘watch’ itself doesn’t work.

About:

Daemon is, unfortunately for him the stereotypical bookworm, he loves books and dead languages. His habits with books though have driven most of the people around him nuts to the point where he is a freelance scholar. Specifically it is Daemon’s job to research about old artefacts and help people find them. Born with (or scared to have) the gift of Second Sight, Daemon is a natural seer who can see things others cannot. This includes but not limited to, the future, auras, fate threads and dead people. This is ironic since Daemon due to years of studying is quite blind without his glasses, though it is discovered his blindness does not affect his other sight at all.

One would think that being a scholar would keep Daemon out of relative trouble; this is not the case with him. Daemon attracts trouble and always chooses the hard path; he has come to know some very dangerous people in his life who fortunately have some morals. Kind and helpful, though he strikes most as being quite dense Daemon notices more than most people give him credit for. His second sight as made him both an optimistic and a severe critic of the mortal/immortal condition. Despite the fact he is a severe critic Daemon is easy going and willing to get along with anyone until proven otherwise.

As many have guessed Daemon cannot fight, or at least he cannot fight well (his wife had tried giving him lessons throughout their relationship it never fully took). He is however very good at dodging, while one cannot predict the future completely one can most certainly predict the future a few seconds ahead of time. Daemon’s sight especially likes to kick in before something bad happens, so Yume in her time alive has focused a lot on teaching him how to dodge.

:The Sword:

Name: N/A
Age: Several centuries.

About:

The infamous family sword that belongs to Yume's family was probably created around a long forgotten period called Meiji. This assumption was made because it could not be created any sooner due to the fact the sword is Western style rather than any sort of katana normally found. The blade has been kept in good condition over the past many centuries and while the hilt has been removed to be put in a special display and then replaced.

There are suggestions the hilt is replaced as the sword itself is given a permament wielder, to reflect the person using it. In Yume's lifetime she had used the daylily and a wing to represent her. It has not had a permament user since that time.

The sword was created for fighting against the supernatural, a spiritual sword by nature, it has through the energies of it's previous owners retained some unusual abilities. One of which has caused Daemon to be sealed inside it after the fight with one particular dark creature.

The sword has life, if considered possible, with the soul of a man, it needs a wielder in order for Daemon to become strong enough to free himself. As of currently that weilder is Gion.

:What's in an Age?:

According to the passage of Gaian time Daemon has been missing for sixteen years since he decided to go and stop the demonic creature, however... Daemon upon sealing the sword ended up in the Four Lands.

What little is known about the two worlds is that time in the Four Lands go much faster than in Gaia (the most recent case and example being Elnara who was in Gaia for a few months and turned out she was missing six years.)

He disappeared at 32, gone for sixteen he should be 48, however that is sixteen years of Gaia's time. So how many years had he been in the sword? According to some random calucations it is figured that Daemon has been in the sword for roughly 288 years since he had landed in the Four Lands.

However.. it means nothing since he hasn't techically aged a day and would still look 32 if he ever got out of the damn sword.

:Connections:

Daemon left behind a great deal back home when he got himself sealed within the sword, he also has a lot of connections he doesn't realize he even has.

Yume Mizu Winters: Yume is his wife of nearly two decades if you do not count for the fact that she's been dead for part of those two decades. Yume, believing in recarnation is spending her time as a spirit in Gaia waiting for her rebirth. Where she is since he was sealed is unknown.

Kyoko Winters: Kyoko is his younger daughter, adopted (as both his daughters are), she is a demon by birth. She travels around a lot, so no one is fully sure of her whereabouts though she does sometimes travel to Wandering Blooms Inn.

Kara Winters: Kara is his elder daughter, an angel by birth, she is now the headmistress of a school, and spends time running the Wandering Blooms Inn. Daemon has no idea he now has a lot of grandkids.

Winters Children: Daemon, through Kara has a great deal of grandkids, the number which cannot be stated because it tends to change, nevermind the amount of great grand kids.

Elnara Aldrich Winters: By some very strange working of chance (or fate) Kara adopted Elnara after she was rejected by most of her brothers. In this sense, Elnara is Daemon's granddaughter, if that makes any sense.

Gion Aldrich: Gion is the wielder of the sword that Daemon is now stuck in. The question becomes what is Gion to Daemon now that Elnara is his granddaughter?

Richard Winters:
That would be Daemon's father, whom he had not gotten into contact with since he was probably eight... well that's wrong his wife did but that's another story all together. Richard is a bit of a pig head, not believing in magic and dumping Daemon in a boarding school. No one knows how he's changed in the past few years.

Betty Winters: She's Daemon's mother, a homemaker... kind of. She's actually very nice, just very very airhead, but she means well. She had seen Daemon piror to the incident, but hasn't seen her grandkids since his disappearace.

Gabe Winters: Daemon's older brother Gabe is... well not many people know about what Gabe is up to, he's grown distance from Daemon since is abilities woke up and hasn't had contact with Daemon since Daemon left for school.

Luna: Luna was a dear friend of Daemon's since they were children. An angel coming from one of the sky cities she had the gift of Summoning spirits. Unfortunately she died during the Winged Wars leaving her daughter Kara in the care of Daemon and Yume.

Long Lau: Whether or not that is Long's real name is left to question, he comes from a family of hitmen (women), though they do double as bodyguards and retrievers. He's another friend of Daemon's, how that happened not even Long knows.

Donovan Lau: Daemon has acutally never met Donovan, except briefly when Donovan was a kid. Daemon made the prediction once that no one in the Lau family would be able to harm Kara, he just neglected to mention that the person sent was probably going to fall in love with her.

:Winters Mansion:

When Daemon married Yume his mother-in-law insisted that as a Winters he should create a family house befitting of Yume's family and soon to be his own. Yume's mother was under the impression that Daemon was the first in a wave of Winters that would create a reputation in Gaia, compared to his 'dottering fool of a father' as she called Richard Winters. So with his funds, and the Mizus' help the Winters Masion was created on a large plot of land brought on the outskirts of one of Gaia's trading hubs. The mansion which stands impressively two stories (three if you included the tower study), is hidden by large willow trees. Throughout the house pictures of the family are kept. According to Daemon's will and testament the mansion is to be inheirted by his two daughters unfortunately the lawyers have had trouble tracking the two girls down. A Mizu family retainter looks after the mansion.

:The Garden:

Though gardening is not one of Daemon's hobbies he likes flowers because of their romantic feel. Since he travels a lot he doesn't fail to bring back some type of plant or another, a lot of them common to Gaia, some not so much.

Go figure a hopeless romantic like Daemon would grow bushes and bushes of roses. He even has blue ones.. those are rare.

Yume loved Daylilies when she was alive, and still so in death, so Daemon always makes sure to grow pleny around her koi pond.

Tulips that bloom every spring around the edges of the garden closer to the mansion, they were always looked upon fondly by the children.
