After I finish watching the .hack//sign series, where does the story continue? What series, game, manga do I need to buy? Is there a whole list somewhere?

Here's a rough timeline
.hack//AI Buster
.hack//SIGN
.hack//IMOQ (Infection Mutation Outbreak Quarantine)
.hack//Liminality (occures during IMOQ)
.hack//Udeden (Legend of the Twilight Braclet, only the manga is canon)
.hack//ROOTS
.hack//G.U.
There are several mangas and novels that I didn't put up, such as .hack//ZERO, .hack//CELL and other stuff.

Though, my friend and I are puzzled and were wondering what "canon" meant. sweatdrop

Well Zero is somewhere around the IMOQ time, I'm guessing either before or after, but seeing since Vagrant Sora is in there, I'm guessing before IMOQ. CELL should take place somewhere around Roots but I'm doubting it's canon. Canon means that it is official to the storyline, non-canon means it is not part of the storyline since it will screw up a lot of things.
