Kind of just a random thought. Whoever made the phrase "Nobody's Perfect" was wrong. There is someone who is perfect. Jesus Christ.

Yeah, very true smile . But as Christians, even though neither of us are perfect like Jesus, I believe we do have at least a small portion of Jesus within all of us smile .

I think that people use that quote just as an excuse because since they're not "perfect" it's valid to make mistakes confused which is not true...

I mean that we do make mistakes, but we should try not to.

Sin is something we were cursed with since the beginning. Its something we just have to learn how to live with. Ask for forgiveness and try not to sin if we can. That is all we can be asked to do.

you are correct.

but the phrase is meant towards everyone except JC. nobody is perfect and that is important to remember. also that in our imperfection God loves us and so we should love each other, flaws and all.

kinda scary how you said "learn how to live with". In reality, we want to learn how to live without sin
and learn how to forgive and accept forgiveness.

we just have to be careful not to get confortable with sin. I think that is the issue with society (namely myself) today sweatdrop

This is something I wrote for my future mother-in-law about a month or so ago. I think it has everything to do with this topic, but will gladly move it if it has a more deserving place. I haven't been able to put it in better words than this, but it basically says that we are not deserving for all God has done for us and how we should do everything in our power to obey Him...

Of course that is just a quick summery. If anyone wants something more I can do my best, it might just be an eyeful.

To The Mother Of My Love

What name should we choose to glorify you,
Our God? What authority do we hold
To call you our King? Will we forev'r pursue
Our own happiness, despite what we behold?
Can we not grasp the truth of what we've been told
By your Son? And what should we wish to seize,
Love given to us in Eden of old?
We are not worthy of any of these!
We deserve nothing you've giv'n us at your ease.
But you gave us all these things with thy grace,
Even knowing we are like a disease.
Knowing this we hide away our sad face;
Humbling ourselves unto you, our Lord,
To place but a foot into your great ford.

It is a possibility that the person who made this statement was of another culture. Maybe they were of foreign origin and believed that Jesus was himself flawed. I however believe Jesus is indeed very perfect cheifly because of the widely known fact that he gave his life for us even though we had lived in sin for many years. Either that or the person could have been a person who thinks of Jesus as more of a spiritual body and not somebody of physical form. after it is quoted as "nobody is perfect"

But then again, since Christ is living in us, when God sees us, God sees Jesus. Jesus is perfect. When he looks at us, he sees us as perfect. So maybe it's that anybody who has Jesus living within them is perfect.

on that note, the bible says love covers a mutitude of sins. I know me and my ex always agreed that love makes things perfect. there was a certain phrase but I forgot it.
